MAZE

The maze is a symbol of getting lost and eventually finding your way out. The exhibit aims to make people feel lost in multiple ways : physically, mentally and emotionally. The maze symbolizes this, in our opinion.

INSTRUCTIONS

Leaflet Final

The word "Lost" means different things to different people. Welcome to the exhibition of lost things. Here, you will find things which are seemingly useless, things that you loose on an everyday basis and things you never even noticed were lost in the first place.

The exhibition consists of six broad categories. Discover them as you walk around the building. Find yourself lost in a world of nostalgia as you encounter different installations.

Tag your loss

An installation designed to look like the inside of a house, with sofa couches placed around the room. The audience is allowed to search for odd objects hidden in the room. They will find keys hidden in the cushions of the sofas, a harmonica in a tea kettle, etc. This area is located near the bar, so the audience can relax after the exhibition on the couches and have a quick drink before going home.

Lost in time

Lost

Lost socks Lost childhood

The exhibit placed in the library space of the building is going to be full of vintage objects, old letters, books, lanterns, rocking chairs, etc. The intention is to make the audience feel like they are being transported back in time.

The maze is the key symbol of the exhibition. The terrace has a large maze constructed with mirrors and metal on it. The audience is invited to “play” here. The objective is to make the audience realize that in the maze, they too become a lost thing until they find their way out of it.

A large washing machine is in the centre of the installation, with socks all around the room. How many times have you lost a sock while washing your clothes? Many pairs of socks go incomplete and this exhibit is made up of all those socks. An installation of all old children’s toys and games. The audience can sit and play board or card games at tables placed around the room.

tag your loss

The audience will receive pieces of paper on which they are requested to write something they’ve lost in the year so far. People can write anything like “lost my shades in the sea”, “lost my frying pan”, etc. Then they tie the paper to a metal frame that covers the wall, and their loss becomes a part of the installation.

Lost in time

The exhibit placed in the library space of the building is going to be full of vintage objects, old letters, books, lanterns, rocking chairs, etc. The intention is to make the audience feel like they are being transported back in time.

Many pairs of socks go incomplete and this exhibit is made up of all those socks. If the audience recognizes their socks, they are permitted to take them home.

Lost childhood

An installation of all old children’s toys and games. The audience can sit and play board or card games at tables placed around the room. The audience may also donate their old toys to the collection here.
