DESIGN GOAL • To create an innovative, open flowing retail space that reflects the orginality and cre ativity of Louis Vuitton • Have motion and movement be the key factors in the overall design • Plenty of unique display cases and storage for product placement throughout the store • Have a place for weary shoppers to take ease and rest

LOCATION: San Jose State University Art Quad OBJECTIVE: Reconstruct a path of travel using 10’X10’ pannels that is unique and functional

Recreational activities and gathering area Big open space for easy access into the Art Building

INSPIRATION:
The abundance of trees around the area Amount of shadows and light that enters the quad
CONCEPT:
Transformed planes into archways that depict abstract silhouette of trees Have multiple levels throughout path Walkway going through the middle of the pathway for easy access to otherside
REASONING:
Keep theme of the feeling of being close to nature Shadows that will be cast from the archways will resemble trees

Noise comes in from the entrance, staircase, down the hallway, and from the bench Bounces and flows throughout the lobby

WALLPAPER DESIGNS Wallpaper was cropped from the literal jellyfish tentacles Repetitive and Bright colors is the theme intent is for the wallpapers to glow

OBJECTIVE
Create a custom light fixture inspired by nature
HANGING LIGHT FIXTURE Sea urchin shell inspired, continuing underwater theme
PROCESS
Took the bumpy ridges and shape of sea urchin and played with different kinds of ideas to show light
DESIGN
Cut holes through fixture to let light escape in a series of different spaces to create a distinctive pattern

First initial idea was to make the fixture transparent and possibly frosted, to have that bioluminescent theme continuing with a glow factor

OBJECTIVE
Create a custom tile piece that can be a tessellation
INSPIRATION
Inspired by the glowing effect of moon coral and the texture of coral overall
LIGHT UP TILE BLOCK
Continuing bioluminescence, installed a small LED light strip inside each tile to have the tile blocks light up and glow
DESIGN
Being inspired by moon coral, used the rigidness to create a texture. Made holes like the moon coral to add depth and dimension Protein in moon coral causes the glow effect, tile glow caused by LED light strip
