What others say about us “I’m a great fan of [Caribbean Beat], this popular, widely read magazine, which is world class: good writers, a wide range of interesting subjects, lavish illustrations and sophisticated design and production.” — Dr Bridget Brereton, in the Trinidad & Tobago Express (9 May, 2012) “It was a sad day for many when BeeWee closed… not least for those who enjoyed reading the airline’s informative and entertaining in-flight magazine, Caribbean Beat. Although BeeWee is no more, there was no keeping a good in-flight magazine grounded too. Caribbean Airlines picked up where BeeWee left off … to celebrate the revival of what some have described as one of the world’s best in-flight magazines.” — Anne Hilton, in the Trinidad & Tobago Newsday (24 January, 2008) “Everyone has benchmarks for themselves, and aspirations they develop as their career grows. For me as a young teenage writer living in Trinidad, I wanted to write books and I wanted to write for magazines. I decided early on two of them I wanted to contribute to – Rolling Stone and Caribbean Beat … I wanted to write for Caribbean Beat because the best known writers of the diaspora contributed to its pages and their articles were always engaging and great. It’s like the best writers of the Caribbean writing about the most significant Caribbean luminaries and experts in their respective fields … And now, instead of writing FOR Caribbean Beat, I’ve found myself being written ABOUT in the pages of Caribbean Beat. Which is a wonderful turn of events indeed.” — Patrice Grell Yursik, Afrobella.com, Chicago, USA “I thoroughly enjoyed looking at every page and must congratulate you on the final product [Discover Trinidad & Tobago]. I hope that your clients share my opinion that you have created a first world product for them!” — Victor Hart, Trinidad & Tobago “Congratulations to all members of your [MEP] team on a splendid job!” — Frank Arlen, Trinidad & Tobago “I collected a copy of Discover Trinidad & Tobago today and felt that I had to let you know what a fantastic job MEP has done in the putting together of this booklet. It contains so much important useful information on our twin island republic. I must mention that I love the way the two covers were done — one in the front of the Trinidad segment and the other in the front of Tobago … One just has to flip the booklet over — marvellous … And the photography — all pics absolutely stunning. Congratulations again on a wonderful Discover job … !” — Kelwyn Hutcheon
