While booking your tickets, make sure that they are open to avoid any unexpected events that may occur during your stay at Düsseldorf.

The much awaited show, drupa 2016 is here. The most popped up question these days would be; what are you plans for drupa this year? If you have not thought of them yet, it is time to review your areas of interest at the print event. Here are some important tips that you might want to look into before venturing into the wide and vast world of drupa in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Always wear comfortable footing. Walking along the stalls is a tedious task and don’t hurt your foot by wearing something tight and pointy.

Before embarking on the voyage to Germany, make sure that you have grabbed a copy of the floor plan or if you are a smart phone user, download the user friendly app from the Messe Düsseldorf site. Avoid standing at the queues, pre-register your visit at www.drupa.com and earn tickets at discounted rates. Plan, schedule and allocate your time at drupa well ahead. Decide in advance the maximum time you would be spending at your areas of interest and allocate the remaining time qualitatively. It’s a maze of companies out there. So, keep in mind your business requirements and strategies before targeting your key customers. A bulleted list always makes the day easy. Prepare a list of key suppliers and new customers that you would like to pay a visit and tick it off as and when done. Don’t forget these essentials. A notebook, pen, staplers to fix business cards to product catalogues. After 11 days, it is often hard to recollect all the faces from the crowd. As inevitable as it has turned out, your smart phone could lessen up your luggage. Scan business cards, QR codes of products and ensure that you have everything at your finger tips.

Make sure that you attend seminars and workshops; they are the place where new technologies and innovations are discussed.

The central railway station and Heinrich-Heine-Allee / WilhelmMarx-Haus (Altstadt / Old Town) are major Düsseldorf junctions. The U78 and U79 subway tram lines and the bus 722 will get you to the fairground. The U78 line stops at the East and North Entrances, with the U79 also stopping at the East Entrance. To reach the North Entrance or Esprit Arena, switch to the U78 from here. At the “Messe Ost” stop, switch to the no. 722 bus, which stops directly in front of the administration buildings as well as at the South Entrance. A special shuttle bus service makes regular trips to Düsseldorf International Airport (bus 896).

Hall 6, D03 In contrast to the first two cube conferences in 2008 and 2012, the 11-day programme is not organised by target group but rather, based on six key drupa 2016 themes: Multichannel • Print • Functional Printing • 3D Printing • Package Production • GreenPrinting. Each presentation slot will combine various themes using best practise case studies: Functional printing and packaging printing, 3D printing and sustainability, and multichannel including print are some of the combinations being explored. drupa cube is, for the first time, also addressing selected vertical markets including the food, consumer goods, interior design, cosmetics, pharmaceutical and healthcare industries; and the financial and public sectors.

Egyptian Printing Day, June 2, 2016 Hall 7.1 The traditional Egyptian Printing Day attracts representatives from the Egyptian printing, designing, prepress, advertising, packaging, and publishing industries. Claus Bolza-Schünemann, chairman of the drupa advisory board and president of Koenig & Bauer Group, is scheduled to deliver the opening speech, after the welcome note by the Egyptian Printing Industries Chamber’s President Khaled Abdo. The Egyptian Printing Day is organized by the German Arab Chamber of Commerce in Egypt, the Drupa Administration, the Egyptian Printing Industries Chamber and Arab Print Media. Nine Egyptian companies are sponsoring this year’s Egyptian Day, including Integrated Office Systems, Xerox Egypt, Digi Pro, Kheiashy House, Texti, Youssef Allam, Sidhom, Al Hussein, and Delta. After the main event, a serious of special guided tours for Egyptian printers will be organized to the nine sponsors’ booths during the following three days.
