SGI Dubai 2018 to Focus on Saudi Textile Sector SGI Dubai 2018, a leading imaging and printing trade show, will feature exclusive textile focused brands that will showcase their equipment to cater to the needs of Saudi textile industry stakeholders, said event organisers. The 21st edition of the show will be held from January 14 to 16 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The SR15 billion ($4 billion) Saudi textile industry is on the threshold of several major advantages due to the current reforms in the country and rising population. The Saudi textile imports are increasing at 1315 per cent annually as per reports and this in another indicator of the robust growth and demand that the industry is witnessing. Textile printing therefore, becomes an extremely competitive tool for the industry when compared with global markets.

Event organisers International Expo Consults (IEC) part of Falak Holding, stated that the LED and textile printing industry is slated to grow exponentially in 2017 across the UAE and the Middle East region and is set to propel the retail sector. SGI Dubai is one of the most eagerly awaited events of the year in the region that caters to the needs of exhibitors and visitors in the textile printing industries apart from signage, outdoor media, screen and digital printing industries.

While the pursuit of artificial intelligence has endured for the past several decades, it is only recently that dramatic technological enhancements have truly triggered the march of the machines.

As per the Global Industry Analysts report, printed textiles market is projected to touch 29.8 billion sq m by 2020, due to the technology enhancements aimed at improving print speeds, design and efficiency.

“This region was earlier known as the trading hub but is transforming itself as the manufacturing hub and will soon entail manufacturing and exporting of textiles. The textile printing industry is all set to flourish in Saudi Arabia and the greater

Middle East region in the next few years,” added Falaknaz.

‘SGI Textile 2018’, an integral part of the SGI Dubai show will display and introduce innovative textile printing technology products. National Press Club Urges Burma to Release Reuters Reporters The National Press Club and the National Press Club Journalism Institute condemned today the continued detention of two Reuters reporters in Burma and urged the government there to promptly release them. Wa Lone and Kyaw Soe Oo have been in custody since December 12th on accusations of breaching the government's Official Secrets Act. The two journalists had been covering the Rohinga human rights crisis in Rakhine state.

The duo had a meeting at a restaurant with two Burmese police officers on Dec. 12, where they were handed rolled up documents and told they could open them at home, according to Lone's wife, Pan Ei Mon, who spoke at a news conference this week in Yangon. After the journalists paid their bill and left the restaurant, "they were immediately grabbed by around seven or eight policemen who handcuffed them and arrested them," Pan Ei Mon told reporters.

The Burmese Ministry of Information has said the police have accused the journalists of "possessing information and secret government documents related to Rakhine state and security forces," Reuters reported. The journalists insist they never violated the country's media law. A Burmese court decided on Dec. 27 to extend

the reporters' detention for at least two more weeks. The journalists have been allowed to meet with their families and an attorney. "We call upon the Burmese government to release Wa Lone and Kyaw Soe Oo, who appear to have been arrested on spurious grounds," said Jeffrey Ballou, NPC president. "These men were doing their job., and journalism is not a crime."

"If the Burmese government wishes Myanmar to become a stable, prosperous and thriving nation, it

must accept that freedom of the press and respect for human rights is an integral part of achieving that," said Barbara Cochran, president of the National Press Club Journalism Institute.

Industry Seminars and “Green Room” to Headline at Paperworld Middle East 2018 Paperworld Middle East, the region’s dedicated trade fair for the paper, office supplies, and stationery industries, is preparing for a big year in 2018, as more than 300 exhibitors get ready to boost business prospects in the Middle East, Africa, and beyond. Farook International Stationery (FIS), the UAE’s largest manufacturer of stationery and office supplies, is one of several Launch Partners at Paperworld Middle East, and was first to sign on when the trade fair was announced to take place for the first time in 2011.

Eight years on, and the three-day event continues to be an annual inspirational showcase of the magical world of school and office supplies, from sustainably sourced paperbased products, arts and crafts, and writing instruments, to gift articles, children’s games and toys. That has led to a steady increase in international buyers – from 4,420 in 2011 to 6,443 from 93 countries in 2017 – as the wider region keeps pace with expanding

ERA’s Packaging and Decorative Conference Successfully Held in Barcelona ERA’s recent Packaging and Decorative Gravure Conference this year took place in early November in the Catalan capital, Barcelona. Over a hundred participants from the European gravure industry attended the two-day event. They witnessed presentations on the status of packaging and decorative gravure printing and technical advances in the gravure process. ERA Secretary General James Siever commented on the event, “The conference again showed gravure’s capability to meet the challenges from the market and other technologies, but also demonstrated the confidence of the industry in the future of the gravure process.”

The conference started with a presentation on the challenges for a decorative printer to optimise their process by Dr. Andreas Dörfler of Impress, one of the leading producers of decorative and impregnated paper. The global production of paper based decorative surfaces counts for 8,79 million sqm and has shown significant growth for the last five years. He stated that “decorative printing is a world of its own compared to packaging and publication printing”, and there are still “endless possibilities for optimization of the process”.

An ongoing crucial issue is the setup and colour matching process which takes between two and four hours until sellable quality can be produced. To improve colour matching Impress is implementing the ACMS system. Another challenge for the decorative printers is the introduction of industrial digital printing which was regarded as a “game-changing technology” replacing gravure.

However, the expectations about the possibilities of digital decorative printing have become more realistic: it makes sense in special cases e.g. very small runs and individual orders. In any case, digital decorative printing will not replace gravure in the foreseeable future. Dr. Dörfler: We have just ordered a new rotogravure press.”

Dr. Dörfler was followed by Dr. Giancarlo Cerutti of OMG Cerutti, who spoke on “new frontiers for gravure printing and converting”.

He made an historical excursion explaining how the distribution of consumer goods has changed since the times when food items were sold loose in small grocery shops.

Nowadays, all kinds of foodstuffs are offered in supermarkets everywhere and at any time to the consumer which requires modern packaging systems.

Quoting his father (“The world needs packaging.”) Dr. Cerutti showed gravure’s and Cerutti’s contribution to print packaging material. Their latest innovation is the R98X gravure press allowing a job change-over in less than 30 minutes. But gravure is not only the ideal process to print packaging, there are other interesting markets: the printing of banknotes on polymer offers new possibilities for gravure. Dr. Cerutti: “Polymer notes are cleaner, more secure and more durable than paper banknotes.”

With a colourful presentation Rudi Weis-Schiff of Janoschka then drew the attention of the audience to gravure’s potential in the emerging markets in Asia such as Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines and Indonesia. He stated that these markets are “very competitive, fast and one has to know about the cultural background in Asia to do business there”. But the potential is enormous as the packaging consumption per person in Asia is 20 times less than in Europe. And gravure is the preferred process in these countries with a market share of above 90 % vs. flexography.

Altogether they count for almost 1 500 gravure presses and more than 800 000 engraved cylinders: truly impressive figures.

In a joint presentation Frank Woltering and Dan Pulling from Esko spoke on colour matching through the print process. Colour counts for 60 % of the purchasing decision.

They emphasized that “a late colour

change or adjustment causes lost profit and higher costs”. To avoid frictions there are now solutions available to combine process and spot colours in the same job.

“Hybrid printing – combining digital with gravure” was the theme of Thomas Schmid of press manufacturer Rotodecor. It would integrate digital components into existing services, and so avoid the uncontrolled disruptiveness of a digital transformation in which customers take to new suppliers or start printing themselves.

Jan Breiholdt of Hell Gravure showed Hell’s latest solutions concerning printing heads and engravers for decorative and packaging gravure.

He focused on the CellEye camera and volume-oriented testcut process, which help meet the challenge that each engraver should perform identically.

ESA technology and its impact on quality and safety was presented

by Rolf Semmler of Enulec, which recently joined the ERA. Printing without electrostatic assist (ESA) or with single-polarity systems can lead to uncontrolled electric discharges, and Enulec systems have been integrated into the control systems of leading European gravure press manufacturers.

Dr. Kai Baer of Adphos Digital Printing demonstrated “innovative drying technology for water and solvent based inks and coatings�.

Their solution is a near infra-red (NIR) energy source with a wavelength of 820 nm, which is absorbed by the solvent but not the substrate. His presentation continued with a live

demonstration during the afternoon coffee break.

The conference concluded with presentations of Achim Kurrek of Moog on sheet fed gravure and its potential for luxury packaging printing, and Dr Jens Klabunde of Oxea on n-propyl acetate solvents as an alternative to conventional ethyl acetate solvents. The latter talk gave interesting indications on cost savings and showed results of trials carried out with n-propyl acetate solvents.

The political unrest in Barcelona concerning the demand for Catalan independence from Spain by the regional Catalan government did not affect the ERA event. The

general strike, which was called by the separatist movement for 8 November, the second day of the conference, was actually ignored by the vast majority of the people.

However, some rioters and separatist activists were able to block the traffic on the highways leading into and out of the city for a while.

Thus ERA’s plant tour programme, including visits to the Impress factory in the northern outskirts of Barcelona and to the HP headquarters and demonstration centre in Sant Cugat, had to be reduced to the visit to HP. In 2018 the ERA Packaging and Decorative Gravure Conference will return to Italy. The industry is invited to come to the Piedmont capital of Turin on 7-8 November 2018.

Fujifilm to Demo Industrial Inkjet Applications at International Builders Show Fujifilm has announced that it will demonstrate industrial inkjet applications at the upcoming National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) International Builders Show (IBS). Global Hygiene Components Market to Grow to $92.5 Billion by 2022: Smithers Pira large market for film and tissue.

Many hygiene products, like baby diapers and feminine hygiene products, become necessities once introduced but they must evolve.

Lower cost, higher performance and increased sustainability are all global issues that hygiene products and their components must address.

The need for an evolved hygiene product drives the need for new and improved components.

The value of the global hygiene components end-use market in 2017 is estimated at $76.5 billion, growing to $92.5 billion in 2022. Annual growth rate is projected at 3.9%.

The number of finished products using hygiene components is estimated at 532.4 billion in 2017 and are projected to grow to 656.2 billion by 2022.

Smithers Pira’s latest market report ‘The Future of Hygiene Components to 2022’ projects an annual growth rate is 4.3%. This is the number of units of finished products (for example, diapers, feminine hygiene pads) rather than the number of components since each finished product may contain multiple hygiene components.

Feminine hygiene pads is the leading segment for hygiene components in units in 2017, accounting for 56.4% of all units consumed. Baby diapers are next with 26.9% of all units consumed in 2017. A diaper unit weighs about six times more than a feminine hygiene pad (on average), so, on a weight basis, diapers are the leading segment.

The biggest change between 2017 and 2022 is the increase in the adult incontinence share, reaching 10.0% by 2022.

The global hygiene components market is driven by demographics and consumer purchasing power with the key factor being the population of certain segments. For

baby diapers/nappies the key factor is the infant population between 0–30 months old; for feminine hygiene it is females aged between 12 and 49; and for adult incontinence it is both adults aged around 65 and over and females aged between 40 and 65.

‫عقد مؤتمر التعبئة والتغليف والديكور‬ ‫(‪ ) ERA‬في مدينة برشلونة بنجاح‬ ‫انطلق المؤتمر هذه السنة أوائل تشرين‬ ‫الثاني في العاصمة الكاتالونية ‪ ،‬برشلونة‪،‬‬ ‫وقد حضر هذا الحدث الذي استمر لمدة‬ ‫يومين أكثر من مائة مشارك من صناعيين‬ ‫أوربيين ‪ ،‬حيث شهدوا عروض متنوعة عن‬ ‫وضع وحالة التعبئة والتغليف والطباعة‬ ‫الزخرفية والتقدم التقني في تقنية الحفر‬ ‫المطبوع ‪.‬‬ ‫وعلق األمين العام لمجموعة إرا (‬ ‫‪)European Rotogravure Association‬‬ ‫جيمس سيفر على هذا الحدث قائالً‪ »:‬إن‬ ‫المؤتمر أظهر مرة أخرى قدرة تقنية الحفر‬ ‫المطبوع على مواجهة تحديات السوق‬ ‫وتحديات أنماط التكنولوجيا األخرى ولكنه‬ ‫أثبت أيضا ً ثقة الصناعة في مستقبل عملية‬ ‫الحفر المطبوع “‪.‬‬ ‫بدأ المؤتمر بعرض عن التحديات التي‬ ‫تواجه الطابعة المزخرفة لتحسين عملها‬ ‫قدمه الدكتور أندرياس دورفلر من‬ ‫إمبريس(‪ )Impress‬والذي يعتبر أحد أبرز‬ ‫منتجي الورق المزخرف والمشرب‪ .‬أشار‬ ‫إلى أن اإلنتاج العالمي لألسطح المزخرفة‬ ‫الورقية يبلغ ‪ 8.79‬مليون متر مربع‪ ،‬وقد‬ ‫شهد نموا ً كبيرا ً خالل السنوات الخمس‬ ‫الماضية ‪ .‬وذكر أن “للطباعة المزخرفة‬ ‫عالم خاص بها مقارنة بالطباعة والتغليف‬ ‫المطبوع وال تزال هناك “احتماالت ال نهاية‬ ‫لها لتحسين هذه العملية»‪.‬‬

‫لطباعة الحفر والتحويل « موضحا ً‬ ‫التغييرات التي حدثت في عملية توزيع‬ ‫السلع االستهالكية عبر التاريخ بدءا ً‬ ‫بالوقت الذي كانت تباع فيه المواد‬ ‫الغذائية في محالت البقالة الصغيرة وصوال ً‬ ‫الى عصرنا الحالي الذي يتم به تقديم‬ ‫جميع أنواع المواد الغذائية للمستهلك في‬ ‫محالت السوبر ماركت في كل مكان وفي‬ ‫أي وقت‪ ،‬األمر الذي تطلب أنظمة تعبئة‬ ‫وتغليف حديثة‪ ،‬وقال مقتبسا ً عن والده‬ ‫بأن “العالم يحتاج الى التعبئة والتغليف»‪،‬‬ ‫كما أظهر الدكتور سيروتي مساهمة كال ً من‬ ‫عملية الحفر المطبوع وسيروتي في طباعة‬ ‫مواد التغليف والتعبئة‪.‬‬ ‫أحدث ابتكاراتها هي تقنية ‪the R98X‬‬ ‫التي تسمح بتغيير‬ ‫‪gravure press‬‬ ‫عملية بأقل من ‪ 30‬دقيقة‪ ،‬وليست عملية‬ ‫الحفر هي فقط العملية المثالية في طباعة‬ ‫التعبئة والتغليف فهناك أسواق أخرى‬ ‫مثيرة لالهتمام ‪ :‬طباعة األوراق النقدية‬ ‫على البوليمر يوفر امكانيات جديدة للحفر‪.‬‬ ‫يقول الدكتور سيروتي‪ “ :‬أوراق البوليمر‬ ‫أنظف وأكثر أمنا ً وأكثر دواما ً من األوراق‬ ‫النقدية الورقية»‬ ‫مع العرض الملون لـ رودي ويس‪ -‬شيف‬ ‫من جانوشكا تم لفت انتباه الجمهور‬ ‫الى إمكانيات تقنية الحفر المطبوع في‬ ‫األسواق الناشئة في آسيا مثل تايالند‬ ‫وفيتنام وماليزيا والفلبين وأندونيسيا‪.‬‬ ‫وقال إن هذه األسواق «تنافسية جدا ً‬ ‫وسريعة ويجب على المرء أن يعرف‬ ‫الخلفية الثقافية في آسيا للقيام بأعمال‬ ‫التجارة هناك “‪ .‬لكن اإلمكانات هائلة ألن‬ ‫استهالك العبوة لكل شخص في آسيا يقل‬ ‫بمقدار ‪ 20‬ضعفا ً عنه في اوروبا ‪.‬‬ ‫وتقنية الحفر المطبوع هي العملية‬ ‫المفضلة في هذه البلدان التي تبلغ حصتها‬ ‫في السوق أكثر من ‪ 90%‬مقابل تقنية‬ ‫فلكسوجرافي‪ .‬وإجماال ً فإنهم يعتمدون‬ ‫على ما يقارب الـ ‪ 1500‬من مكابس‬ ‫الحفرالمطبوع وأكثر من ‪800000‬‬ ‫اسطوانة محفورة‪ ،‬إنها أرقام مثيرة‬ ‫لإلعجاب حقاً‪.‬‬ ‫في عرض مشترك لـ فرانك وولترينغ‬ ‫ودان بولينغ من إيسكو تحدثوا عن أهمية‬ ‫مطابقة األلوان خالل عملية الطباعة ‪ ،‬حيث‬ ‫يلعب اللون نسبة ‪ 60%‬من قرار الشراء‪.‬‬ ‫وأكدوا أن» تغيير اللون المتأخر أو تعديله‬ ‫يؤدي الى فقدان األرباح وارتفاع التكاليف‬ ‫«‪ ،‬ولتجنب هذه االحتكاكات أصبح يوجد‬ ‫اآلن حلول متاحة تجمع بين العملية‬ ‫واأللوان في نفس الوظيفة‪.‬‬

‫ستتوجه أرقى الماركات في صناعة الغرافيك‬ ‫والالفتات من األسواق المحلية واإلقليمية‬ ‫والعالمية التي تشمل ‪ 35‬دولة إلى دبي في يناير‬ ‫‪ 2018‬للمشاركة في معرض اس جي آي دبي‪.‬‬ ‫ويعد المعرض األضخم الذي يقدّم خدمات‬ ‫الطباعة الكبيرة في منطقة الشرق األوسط‬ ‫وأفريقيا‪ .‬وقد أكّد أكثر من ‪ 300‬عارض إقليمي‬ ‫ودولي حضورهم المعرض وأنهم سوف‬ ‫يعرضون منتجاتهم وحلولهم في الطباعة التي‬ ‫تقدر بقيمة ‪ 250‬مليون درهم إماراتي‪ .‬ومن‬ ‫المتوقع أن تصل قيمة الصناعة العالمية ‪980‬‬ ‫مليار دوالر أمريكي بحلول ‪ 2018‬وفقا لتقرير‬ ‫وكالة سميرث بيرا‪ .‬كما من المتوقع أن تنمو‬ ‫إيرادات الصناعة في منطقة الشرق األوسط‬ ‫وأفريقيا بنسبة ‪ 7.2%‬سنويا ً ومن المتوقع‬ ‫أن تبلغ ‪ 26‬مليار دوالر أمريكي بحلول‪.2018‬‬

‫ومن المتوقع أن يستقبل معرض « اس جي‬ ‫آي دبي» في دورته الحادية والعشرين أكثر من‬ ‫آالف الز ّوار من نحو ‪ 75‬دولة‪ .‬وأنهم سيشهدون‬ ‫في المعرض أحدث المنتجات والموديالت‬ ‫في مجال الصناعة‪ .‬وأوضحت شركة « إيك»‬ ‫أن أحد أسباب التي جعلت هذه المنطقة‬ ‫محط أنظار العارضين العالميين هو النمو‬ ‫المتوقع بنسبة ‪ 9.0%‬في القيمة السوقية‬ ‫لصناعة الطباعة في منطقة مينا ( الشرق‬ ‫األوسط وأفريقيا)‪ .‬وقال سونيل بورشثمان‪،‬‬ ‫المدير العام لماسوليت‪ ”:‬إن معرض اس جي‬ ‫آي هو المنصة الوحيدة التي تروج ألحدث‬ ‫التقنيات في صناعة الالفتات الرقمية في‬ ‫جميع أنحاء المنطقة‪ .‬يتر ّقب عمالؤنا في دول‬

‫نادي الصحافة الوطني يحث بورما‬ ‫على إطالق سراح صحفيين وكالة رويترز‬ ‫أدان كل من نادي الصحافة الوطني ومعهد‬ ‫الصحافة الوطنية للنادي الصحفي اليوم‬ ‫استمرار احتجاز اثنين من صحفيين وكالة‬ ‫رويترز في بورما وحث الحكومة هناك اإلفراج‬ ‫عنهم فوراً‪ .‬وكان قد احتجز كل من الصحفيين‬ ‫( وا لون) و ( كياو سو أو) منذ الثاني عشر من‬ ‫ديسمبر الماضي بتهمة انتهاك قانون األسرار‬ ‫الرسمية للحكومة‪ .‬وكانا الصحفيين يغطيان‬ ‫أحداث أزمة الروهينجا لحقوق اإلنسان في‬ ‫والية راخين‪.‬‬ ‫وبحسب زوجة لون‪ ،‬بان إيمون‪ ،‬التي تحدثت‬ ‫في مؤتمر صحافي هذا األسبوع في يانغون أن‬ ‫الثنائي عقدا اجتماعا ً في مطعم مع اثنين من‬ ‫ضباط الشرطة البورميين في الثاني عشر من‬ ‫ديسمبر حيث سلما الوثائق التي بحوزتهما‬ ‫وقاال أنهما يستطيعان فتحها في المنزل‪ .‬وبعد‬ ‫أن دفع الصحفيان فاتورتهما وغادرا المطعم‪،‬‬ ‫تم القبض عليهما مباشرة من قبل سبعة أو‬ ‫ثمانية من رجال الشرطة الذين قيدوا أيديهما‬ ‫واعتقلوهما"‪.‬‬ ‫وقالت وزارة اإلعالم البورمية أن الشرطة‬ ‫اتهمت الصحفيين " بامتالك المعلومات‬ ‫والوثائق الحكومية السريّة المرتبطة بوالية‬ ‫راخين وقوات األمن فيها" بحسب رويترز‪.‬‬ ‫ويصر الصحفييان على أنهما لم ينتهكا أبدا ً‬ ‫قانون اإلعالم في البالد‪.‬‬ ‫وقد قررت المحكمة في بورما يوم ‪ 27‬ديسمبر‬ ‫تمديد احتجاز الصحفيين لمدة أسبوعين‬ ‫على األقل‪ ،‬وقد سمح لهما بلقاء عائلتيهما‬ ‫ومحام‪.‬‬

‫وقال جيفري بالو‪ ،‬رئيس مجلس النواب‬ ‫الصيني‪ " :‬إننا ندعو الحكومة البورمية اإلفراج‬ ‫عن الصحفيين ( وا لون) و( كياو سو أو)‬ ‫الذي يبدو أنهما اعتقال ألسباب زائفة‪ ،‬هذان‬ ‫الرجالن كانا يقوما بعملهما والصحافة ليست‬ ‫جريمة"‪.‬‬ ‫وقالت باربرا كوكران‪ ،‬رئيسة المعهد الصحفي‬ ‫التابع للنادي الصحفي الوطني‪ ":‬بأنه إذا‬ ‫كانت الحكومة البورمية ترغب بأن تصبح‬

‫مينمار دولة مستقرة ومزدهرة وناجحة‬ ‫فعليها أن تقبل بأن حرية الصحافة وحقوق‬ ‫اإلنسان جزء ال يتجزأ من ذلك"‪.‬‬ ‫النادي الوطني للصحافة ومقره واشنطن‬ ‫العاصمة‪ ،‬إنها المنظمة المهنية الرائدة في‬ ‫مجال الصحافة‪ ،‬ويضطلع معهد الصحافة‬ ‫الوطنية للنادي الصحفي بتدريب محترف‬ ‫للصحفيين وينظم برامج تتعلق بحرية‬ ‫الصحافة‪.‬‬

‫اس جي آي دبي ‪ 2018‬تسعى للتركيز على قطاع النسيج السعودي‬ ‫وقال منظمو الحدث في تصريح لهم أن‬ ‫معرض " اس جي آي" دبي ‪ 2018‬وهو‬ ‫المعرض التجاري الرائد في مجال الطباعة‬ ‫والتصوير سيقوم بعرض عالمات تجارية‬ ‫حصرية متعلقة بالنسيج والتي ستعرض‬ ‫بدورها معداتها لتلبية احتياجات شركات‬ ‫الغزل والنسيج السعودية‪ .‬وستعقد الدورة‬ ‫الحادية والعشرون من المعرض في الفترة‬ ‫من ‪ 14‬إلى ‪ 16‬يناير في مركز دبي للتجارة‬ ‫العالمي‪.‬‬ ‫كما إن صناعة الغزل والنسيج السعودية‬ ‫والتي تبلغ قيمتها ‪ 15‬مليار ريال سعودي‬ ‫أي ما يعادل ( ‪ 4‬مليار دوالر) ُمقبلة على‬ ‫مزايا عديدة ومهمة بسبب اإلصالحات‬ ‫الحالية في البالد وارتفاع عدد السكان‪.‬‬ ‫وتزداد واردات المنسوجات السعودية‬ ‫بنسبة تتراوح بين ‪ 15 13-‬بالمئة سنويا ً‬ ‫بحسب التقارير وهذا مؤشر آخر على‬ ‫النشطين اللذين تشهدهما‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫النمو والطلب‬ ‫الصناعة‪ .‬ولهذا فإن طباعة النسيج هي أداة‬ ‫تنافسية مهمة جدا ً بالنسبة للصناعة مقارنة‬ ‫باألسواق العالمية‪.‬‬ ‫فعالية معرض إكسبو‬ ‫وقد أق ّر منظمو ّ‬ ‫الدولي ( إيك) والذي هو جزء من شركة‬ ‫فاالك القابضة أنه من المقرر أن تنمو صناعة‬ ‫الطباعة باألشعة فوق البنفسجية وطباعة‬ ‫النسيج أضعافا ً مضاعفة عام ‪ 2017‬في‬ ‫جميع أنحاء اإلمارات العربية المتحدة وفي‬ ‫منطقة الشرق األوسط‪ ،‬كما من المقرر‬ ‫أن تدفع بقطاع التجزئة إلى األمام‪ .‬و ُت َعد‬ ‫سيغي دبي من أكثر الفعاليات المنتظرة‬ ‫بحماس في المنطقة هذا العام والتي تلبي‬ ‫احتياجات العارضين والز ّوار في صناعات‬ ‫الطباعة النسيجية بخالف صناعة الالفتات‬ ‫واإلعالم الخارجي والطباعة الرقمية وطباعة‬ ‫الشاشات‪.‬‬

‫وقال عبد الرحمن فالكناز‪ ،‬مدير معرض‬ ‫إكسبو الدولي‪ "،‬إن سوق االستهالك‬ ‫السعودي في تطور وكذلك سوق التجزئة‬ ‫( البيع بالمف ّرق)‪ ،‬إنهم يبحثون في أوساط‬ ‫التجزئة الحديثة العهد‪ ،‬وفي التصاميم‬ ‫الحديثة واألقمشة ذات الجودة العالية‬

‫في بلدهم"‪ .‬وأضاف" أن صناعة النسيج‬ ‫مرتبطة بشكل طردي مع نمو الكثافة‬ ‫السكانية والقوة الشرائية لهم‪ ،‬وهذا‬ ‫يجعل المملكة العربية السعودية واحدة‬ ‫من أكثر أسواق النمو الواعدة طلباً‪ .‬في‬ ‫حين أن السعي وراء الذكاء المتصنّع‬ ‫قد استمر طيلة العقود القليلة الماضية‪،‬‬ ‫وحدها التحسينات التكنولوجية المثيرة قد‬ ‫فعال‪.‬‬ ‫أطلقت مؤخرا ً العنان لآلالت وبشكل ّ‬ ‫وسيكون لهذا تأثير واضح على صناعة‬ ‫طباعة النسيج أيضاً"‪.‬‬ ‫ووفقا ً لتقرير المحللين العالميين للصناعة‬ ‫فإنه من المقرر أن يبلغ سوق المنسوجات‬ ‫المطبوعة ما يقارب ‪ 29.8‬بليون متر مربع‬ ‫بحلول ‪ ،2020‬وذلك بفضل التحسينات‬ ‫التكنولوجية التي تهدف لتحسين سرعات‬ ‫وتصميم وكفاءة الطباعة‪.‬‬ ‫وأضاف فلكناز‪ ":‬لقد ُعرفت هذه المنطقة‬ ‫منذ القديم كمركز تجاري إال ّ أنها تحولت‬ ‫بنفسها لمركز للتصنيع وهذا يستلزم تحوال ً‬ ‫سريعا ً في تصنيع وتصدير المنسوجات‪.‬‬ ‫ومن المتوقع أن تزدهر صناعة طباعة‬ ‫المنسوجات في المملكة العربية السعودية‬ ‫وفي منطقة الشرق األوسط الكبرى في‬ ‫السنوات القليلة القادمة"‪.‬‬
