Unique Seaflex is launching no less than four new product lines at Seawork, including auto-inflating vessel emergency system, Siltstoppers, boom cable floats and gangway testing bags. See the debut of Mapso’s NanoAir 23 on Q5, a classification society approved unsinkable aluminium tug with a heavy-duty diesel inboard giving 12 knots, 500kg bollard pull and droppable from three metres.

Travel As well as excellent motorway connections, Southampton Shuttle bus is serviced by Southampton Central train station which has direct service to London Waterloo. Southampton Airport has daily international and domestic flights with trains running every 10 minutes from the airport to Southampton Central where you can board a free Seawork shuttle bus to the exhibition. Ferries can also be caught to Portsmouth, which is a 45 minute train ride from Southampton.

Visitor Parking The designated, free, multi-storey car park for visitors is located at Ocean Way, Southampton, SO14 3TJ. There will be free shuttle buses running between the exhibition and the visitor car park from 08:30 until 18:00 each day of the event.

Free – Seawork Conference The Seawork Conference, sponsored by logistics specialist, Peters & May, will include two streams. Both will be held on board the Ocean Scene, which will be moored at the quayside. Discussing whether catamarans are the right solution for windfarm access will be a panel represented by CTruk, Tuco Group and Palfinger, with another session by the MCA on Crew Transfer Vessels. Southampton University and National Oceanography Centre will discuss collaborations with research centres and universities. Hybrid Marine will explore Hybrid Systems for Small Craft to 70’. The MCA will also discuss bridging the differences between workboats and fishing vessels. The National Workboat Association and International Jack Up Barge Owners’ Association (IJUBOA) will host its Safety Forum at Seawork, which promises the sharing of valuable learning experiences. Harken will show how more power and less weight shows benefits to a company’s bottom line. There will be onboard catering, sponsored by Red Ensign. Demos and launches

The Italian Delegation at Seawork 2014

Expanding International Potential International delegations from China will once again return to Seawork to explore opportunities and develop relations with Seawork exhibitors and attendees. Last year saw attendance from Italian, Brazilian and Chinese delegations (which proved really popular with Seawork exhibitors). This year’s Chinese delegation is looking to meet with exhibitors who have an interest in the Chinese market and to strengthen business relations between

Europe and China. Interests range from equipment manufacturers and marine electronic equipment, to boat-building technology and design. There are many events, demonstrations and launches occurring over the three days of Seawork. Goodchild Marine and Alicat Marine Design will officially launch the SB Lynx commercial catamaran at midday on Wednesday. Drumgrange will demonstrate its Acoustic Hailing device at 13:00 on Tuesday, designed for high speech intelligibility up to 1500m on sea or land. Maritime Partner AS will be launching the Alusafe 1100 Interceptor with two high powered outboards on Tuesday.

Meet the BBC’s Dragon-slayer, John Ford, with his DAME and Pittman innovation award-winning product, Seabung, which will make its debut at Seawork on stand SB47.

Seawork International will see a new and exciting Seawork Press and Social Media Hub, which has been designed to enhance exhibitors’ on and offline publicity and to provide greater support to visitors and press alike. PLA’s £7m Superboat unveiling at Seawork The Port of London’s new 36.5 metre harbour multipurpose maintenance vessel, London Titan, will be officially unveiled at Seawork on V57. Built at a cost of £7million by Manor Marine (MPI Services) and designed

by MacDuff Ship Design (A167) the vessel has been supplied with a myriad of services and products by co-exhibitors including Durowipers (A57). The vessel will commence operations on the Thames in September.

Innovations Showcase

Attending Maritime Associations Over 30 maritime associations will be in attendance at Seawork, many of whom use the annual event as their AGM location. The BMF Commercial Marine Committee Meeting will be held during the event, as will the International Harbour Master

Association’s AGM. The National Boating Association and the National Workboat Association will be in attendance, promoting the Apprentice Scheme at A301. The Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) debuts at Seawork 2015 at SB90, promoting the continued success

and distribution of the authoritative Code of Practice for the Safe Use of Lifting Equipment (COPSULE). The Shipbuilders and Shiprepairers Association (SR13) will be hosting its Annual Networking Cocktail Reception on the Shipbuilder and Repair pavilion on the Wednesday, 1430 until 1700.
