Alvin Bernard Richardson Jr. was born December 21,
1956, in Dallas, TX to Ruby E. Richardson and the late Alvin Bernard Richardson Sr. He fell asleep in death
Thursday, February 15, 2024, at the age of 67 after a long illness. He received his education through the DC Public School System, graduating from Chamberlain High School in June 1974. In that same year, he started his working career at the US Department of State, retiring in 2006 after 32 years of federal service.
Ever conscious of his spiritual needs, and through the loving guidance of his mother, Alvin was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, in 1972, at the age of 15. Alvin had a strong passion for music. He was an accomplished drummer, playing professionally for several local groups, and even forming his own group.
Alvin was married twice, he bore two loving sons from his first marriage, Damyon and Christopher Richardson. Alvin is survived by his mother Ruby E. Richardson, brother Larry Richardson Sr, sisters Kimberly Richardson (Kurt), Kristy Richardson, two sons Damyon Richardson, and Christopher Richardson (Jacqueline), 5 grandchildren, 2 greatgrandchildren, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and so many friends.
