Restore
Restore As we begin 2025, Mercy House Global embraces the theme “Restore,” guided by the timeless promises of Psalm 23. This year, we’ll focus on the renewal and healing only God can provide. Inspired by the psalm’s imagery of a Good Shepherd who leads us to still waters and restores our souls, we are invited to slow down, rest in God’s presence, and embrace His ongoing work of restoration in our lives. The map above features Sanaa art, created by Rehema House girls, depicting imagery from Psalm 23, with new illustrations added each month to beautifully capture this journey throughout 2025. As we reflect on this theme, we are reminded that when God restores us, we receive more than we’ve lost—true renewal and abundant life.
Restore Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit. —Psalm 51 It’s a new year and maybe you’re just too tired to have a new you? There’s a temptation with the turning of the calendar year to try and reinvent ourselves with fresh plans and good intentions. While there’s nothing wrong with new resolutions, the truth is that we cannot heal our own souls. Only God can restore. What if instead of doing better, we did less? Less doing and more being might be counter-culture, but it also might help us to slow down long enough to see what is missing. Jesus offers us the most beautiful and appealing invitation in the New Testament in Matthew 11:28 when He says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Restoration begins by acknowledging what we have lost. There is a collective grief we carry in our broken world. There are trials and tribulations in every human experience. We are prone to wander from God. Not only does the Good Shepherd of Psalm 23 never give up on us; He goes after us and finds us when we are lost, weary, and in need of restoration. When God restores us, we receive back more than has been lost. We are improved beyond measure. Our Shepherd, Jesus, retrieves us when we wander and revives us when we falter. His invitation to us to come to Him isn’t a one-time opportunity. It is a way of life, a continual coming and resting in the shelter of His arms. This way of life, a slow, being-with-God is the kind of new life for a new year that will restore our souls.

WHAT DO WE MEAN BY ETHICAL? Ethically traded products are crafted by artisans who work in safe conditions, receive a fair wage, and maintain reasonable working hours. No child sacrificed their education to create your new favorite item, and no parent toiled in a sweatshop for 80 hours a week. We ensure that all of our MHG Clubs items are ethically sourced. HOW ARE MHG CLUBS DIFFERENT THAN OTHER SUBSCRIPTION CLUBS? MHG Clubs are operated by Mercy House Global, a 501(c)3 charitable organization. All proceeds from MHG Clubs empower vulnerable families in Jesus’ name with opportunities that provide hope. MHG CLUBS PARTNER WITH FAITH-BASED ARTISAN GROUPS ACROSS THE GLOBE. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? While we are a faith-based ministry and collaborate with other faith-based ministries, religion is not imposed on artisans, nor is it a prerequisite for employment. Many women and their families practice different religions than we do, and that is okay. Our belief in Christ compels us to love, serve, and assist others, irrespective of their personal belief systems.
