A balance between research, analysis and outreach.


What think tank do? 

The Objectives of the Think Tank are to;  Deliberate on issues the country is faced with.  To find out possible solutions by formulating and developing the right policies. Focus more on the needs of policy makers and current policy issues. Do what is asked by the policy makers as and when required. Think Tanks will assist the party by recommending these policies particularly for the next five years. Think Tanks will also review and critique the policies of the incumbent Government and other political parties.

A Sovereign Pakistan War on terror  PTI will set up the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NCTA).  An end to all military operations and the withdrawal of troops from FATA.  Re-negotiate the scale/ scope of cooperation with the US in its war on terror.  All drone attacks would be unacceptable and stopped.  Forming a commission to ascertain the human rights violations all through the country especially in FATA, SWAT & BALOCHISTAN. Foreign Policy  All International agreements to be ratified by the parliament.  Negotiate and establish free trade agreements within SAARC.


A Sovereign Pakistan Devolution of Power  Local Government shall be responsible for health, education, policing, lower courts and community development  All allocated funds to the parliamentarians to be withdrawn and transfer to the local government.  The office of denial of rights will be setup in each post office Baluchistan Package  An exclusive Baluchistan package is developed by PTI

Economic Development - Continued…         

All income across abroad will be taxed. Increase annually the tax collection by 2% of GDP. Mobilize and incentivize Overseas Pakistanis to attract investment. Attract FDI through clean and transparent Government. Set an annual target growth rate to reach 10% GDP every year. Constitute an employment commission which will ensure employability for all. Start infrastructure projects which will help create jobs and increase GDP. PTI will create a Pakistan Infrastructure Fund (Pi/IDFI etc) through PPPs. Spend 1.5 to 3% of GDP on energy investment.


Economic Development     

 

Abolish ‘across the board’ subsidies and start ‘targeted’ subsidies on food items. Create a new ‘Agricultural Development Authority’ Bring an agricultural revolution. Create Water Resource Development and Management Authority. Formulate and announce 5 year Industrial Policy yielding 10% growth in manufacturing sector. Control general inflation and especially food price hike by stabilizing Pak Rupee and maximizing yield of agricultural crops. Restructuring to Profitability of State Corporation Service sector and banking reforms

Declare an ‘Education’ emergency. Increase education spending from 1.8% of GDP to 8% in 5 years time period. 95% primary education coverage in 2 years & 95% literacy in 5 years. Increase health spending from 0.7% to 3% in 5 years. Regulate private health sector. Ensure potable drinking water for all. Introduce an effective socio economic measurement structure at UC level. Start a Low Cost Housing scheme.
