White Chateau at Cecil Farms The 4,000 square-foot luxury wedding venue is situated on a hill overlooking Cecil Farms and is available for both indoor and outdoor weddings. Inside, there are vaulted ceilings with a floor-to-ceiling fireplace. The space can hold up to 150 people indoors, or 200 guests using the indoor space and outdoor covered patios. The venue rents for 12 hours the day of an event and comes with tables, chairs, a bridal dressing suite, a catering kitchen and onsite staff to prepare the room in advance, take care of details during the event and clean up afterwards. The venue staff create specialized floor plans for weddings based on the wedding party’s wants and needs, and the venue has a list of preferred caterers for events. The Robinette Farmhouse, which is across the hill from the venue, is available to rent for wedding parties who want to spend the night at the farm.
CECIL FARMS 8753 Mulligan Road • cecilfarmspd.com • whitechateau.com Cecil Farms is a community-supported agriculture co-op that delivers farm-grown fruit, vegetables and specialty items to homes in the Owensboro region. People purchase either a share or a half-share and decide if they want a delivery either weekly or biweekly during the growing season. Then, the farm staff pick the fruits and vegetables that are ready on a given week and deliver them. While the basket contains vegetables and fruits, other items, such as meats, eggs, breads and dairy products, can be ordered separately for delivery. In 2021, the farm provided produce to 1,300 families weekly through Owensboro Public Schools’ summer feeding program. The farm grew 25 acres of fruits and vegetables for its community support agriculture co-op programs and grew 500 acres of watermelons for sale in grocery stores. The farm also has 900 beehives for locally-produced honey. In addition to the White Chateau wedding venue, the farm has the Robinette House, a 2,000 square-foot, three- bedroom house with patio, privacy and a view of the farm, for rental.

Hill View Farms Market was established in 2013 by the Gilles family. While the business is relatively new, the Gilles family trace their roots through five generations of Daviess County farmers. The farm raises cattle that are free of antibiotics and growth hormones. In addition, the farm’s chicken flocks are free range and free of growth hormones and antibiotics, as are the pork products the farm sells. The market also sells milk and cheeses, eggs, baking ingredients and sauces, and a variety of other Kentucky-produced products. The market is open Wednesday through Saturday, and items can be ordered online for pickup.
