Here we have again to The Dead Daisies, but this time I interviewed one of their members, John Corabi, current vocalist of the band. About their beginnings in the world of the rock, their step for several bands and many other things, he comments us in exclusive. By: Alejandro PĂŠrez.
Greetings John and welcome to this Cuban rock magazine. Is a pleasure can do it this interview. To start. How was your beginning in the music? Some event in particular that it influenced you in a direct way? A) I remember as a kid growing up watching some video footage of The Beatles on TV...I saw the energy and excitement the audience had for the band and I said, "This is what I want to do. I was probably around 7-8 years old at the time... When you were young, were you in some rock band? Which? A) I was in a band at a very young age. I can't remember the name of the band, but we were in a school talent show. We won that event, and began doing little shows at Veterans Hospitals, and shopping malls... How do you come to MĂśtley Crue? How long you were in this band? What represented for you to be in this band? A) I was in Motley Crue from 1992-1997-98. About 5 1/2 years. They called me after Tommy and Nikki purchased my record I did with a band called The Scream. It was a huge step for me to join that band, and I'm very fond of all we accomplished!!! Have you been in other rock bands? Which? A) I was in The Scream, Motley Crue, Union, and played guitar for the band Ratt...I have been a solo artist as well since 2010, and I have a band here in America that I still record and tour with. We (my solo band) just recorded a live album doing the material I recorded with Motley Crue live!!! And I'm also very happy with The Dead Daisies and our new record "Make Some Noise"!!!!!!
Which rock bands have influenced in you? A) Probably my biggest influences are The Beatles and Led Zeppelin but, I'm a HUGE fan of all the classic rock bands like The Stones, Aerosmith, Grand Funk Railroad etc... In 2012 you enter to The Dead Daisies as a vocalist. How do you come the band? A) Actually Marco Mendoza called me to come and jam with The Dead Daisies, as their former singer was not able to go to Cuba. I went with them for our amazing trip there, and after that they just asked if I would want to record a record. We got together and wrote and recorded a wonderful record called "Revolucion".....I've been having a BLAST with the guys ever since!!! The last year you came to Cuba with The Dead Daisies. How do you remember this visit to Cuba? What is your opinion about the Cuban public? A) I had an amazing time in Cuba!!! The people were wonderful, and kind and extremely enthusiastic about our arrival. I thought your country was beautiful, and I'm happy that America and Cuba are now talking again. I hope this creates some opportunities for Cuba but, I hope it doesn't lose its "charm".... As you know, in March of this year The Rolling Stones played an incredible free show here in the Havana and The Dead Daisies contributed in some way to this. How do you felt whit you known about this success? A) I thought The Stones playing there was such a GREAT thing. I was hoping that The Daisies could have been a part of the actual show but, hopefully we can come there again and play for the most amazing fans... Actually, you being part of The Dead Daisies. Did you collaborate or are part of some other rock band? A) I did collaborate with the Daisies on the last 2 records. Revolucion, and Make Some Noise. As I said earlier, I have a solo band as well in America with my son Ian, and we still do a lot of shows here as well. I love being a part of The Dead Daisies, though!!!! It's a very talented group of guys, and everybody is just a lot of fun to hang with... How do you see the rock in this moment at world level compared with previous years?
A) I know a lot of people say "Rock is Dead"...I say it isn't. Things are just a bit different in the way we have to do things as far as promoting, but the fans are still there, and very enthusiastic everywhere we go!!! How is the life of John Corabi outside the rock? I mean family, friends, favorite hobby’s. A) When I'm not touring with The Dead Daisies, or my solo band, I like to just get home and relax. I'm married, and I love just hanging with my wife, and my son. I usually just chill at home and watch movies, or AMERICAN football...When I'm not doing that, I get together with friends and have a few drinks and socialize...other than that I just play guitar, and try to write new music... If John hadn’t been able to be a rock star. What Jonh had liked to be? A) There was never anything else I wanted to do...If I can't ever tour anymore, I would love to write music for other artists, or produce. But, that’s it... How see John Corabi their future inside the rock music? A) Hopefully I can continue to do what I love...If I can't you can apply my last answer here as well...loll Well, thanks John for this incredible opportunity. In Thousand Lakes is Death Metal Melodic band from Spain. Until the now they have published 4 CD that prove the talent that has all their members. Of their activity in direct is necessary to highlight their participation in the festival Barbarian Rock taken place in Sherry in 1998 next to bands like Manowar or Napalm Death and their performance like support of Cradle Of Filth in the Sala Jam of Bergara. Greetings and be welcome to this Cuban rock magazine. Is a pleasure can do it this interview. To start. Why the name of In Thousand Lakes? Any special meaning? The truth is taken of the CD “Tales From The Thousand Lakes” of the Finnish band Amorphis, a band that influenced us a lot in the beginnings. When arise the band and who are their actually members? The band was formed in 1995 and we were up to 1998, in October of 2013 we decide to return being of the original formation Jokin (guitar) and me Javi (drummer). The current formation is José (voice), Jokin (guitar), Igor (guitar), Pintxo (bass) and Javi (drummer), Up to now they have published 3 productions: “Emotions"; a demo that left in 1996, "Lifeless Waters And Forgotten Land"; CD that published in 1998 and their last production that it left in 2014, the EP "Martyrs Of Evolution". How was the process of recording and edition of this CD?
In fact we have 4 CD, we have to publish the CD ““The Memories That Burn” that includes the CD “Lifeless Waters”, the demo “Emotions” and a new song entitled “The Scaffold”, as much the CD as the demo has been resmastered. The demo is more guided the melodic Death/Doom and we record it with a person that was not familiarized with the Metal it is quite raw as for sound, for the CD we had 9 days for the recording, mixes and mastered and our sound was already more focused to the sound melodic Death with quicker topics and influences of bands like Dark Tranquillity, In Flames, etc… the sound is very better but it is also a production of 1998 and without a great budget. "Martyrs Of Evolution" was our letter of introduction in our turn and we use 2 days in recording the album it was a calm process as for time and the production comes closer enough to what we sought. Which have the main influences of the group been when composing their songs? Well, it is difficult to say that our influences since come from the Death until the progressive Metal, Heavy Metal… what we attempt is really that it sounds to us the entire possible one. Have I been able to listen the songs of their "EP Martyrs of Evolution" and it sounded brilliant. How you would define your music? Thank you for your words, we define it as Death Melodic but good Metal the influences of other styles they are more than evident. In 1998 the band separates and it don’t unite until October of 2013 again. Could you comment us something about the reason of their separation and the time of wait unite again? Because that of the separation simply happened it was not a taken decision of one day for other, there was not a concrete reason. Because the turn was produced by the offer of playing in a festival that will be organized (that was not made at the end) and good as much Jokin as me had stopped to play but we decide attempt it again and the first months they were complicated since we were not able to play our own topics but we arm of patience and dedication and at the end the turn was a reality. During the time that you were separate, you had an outstanding participation in the festival Barbarian Rock taken place in Sherry in 1998, next to bands like Manowar or Napalm Death. It was the first time that you participated in a festival of this type? How did you feel it? After this could you have been able to participate in more festivals; either in their country or outside of the same one?
Yes, it was a big festival I believe to remember that 5.000 people attended and the last concert that we made in our first stage was because the sensation was since of something of pain we knew in advance that it would be the last one but the concert was well and we leave it with a good mouth flavor. We have not still had opportunity to make something like that of big until the moment. After throwing their first demo “Emotions", they had the luck to participate as support in a concert of Cradle Of Filth. What did it mean for the band to share scenario with Cradle Of Filth? After this presentation. Have you had the opportunity share scenario with some other band again? Well, it meant very much since for us we liked a lot in that time after the concert we were of party with them and we have very good memories of that concert. Apart from the festival of the one that we have spoken have not had opportunity to open up for other international bands. What is your opinion about the role that play in ours days in the promotion of the bands, the rock magazines (as digitals and printed)? The promotion is very important for us because it is necessary to give to know to the band and each thing that we publish we try to give him the biggest possible so much repercussion in written press, as digital, Facebook, Twitter‌ all that is within our reach. Every time that I read on the scene of the rock in Spain I don't stop to surprise myself because every time new bands that make gala of an extraordinary and brilliant talent arise. How do you see the scene of the rock at the moment in Spain? It is really well, there is quality and the productions have improved a lot with regard to the past, there are many bands. Future plans? Now we are focus on in the next 5 concerts that we have since we are a band that we like to be active in direct and we will go closing more dates in next weeks, with "Martyrs" we made 17 concerts that it is a very good figure. On the other hand, we are composing new topics and the idea or what we would like is to publish new CD in 2017. Will we be able to see you some day in Cuba?
We would love it, of course, not yet we have played outside of our frontiers but I hope it happens some day. Well, before finishing. Something that you want to say the Cuban public? Toni Amboaje is Rock in pure state. A recognizable voice with a style only and current vocalist of the band Airless. A self taught composer with American style to finally enjoy a rock made here. With the feet in the floor, with pleasure for the well made things, with natural talent and, mainly, with passion for the music. Tony, to begin a greeting and thank you to consent to this interview for this magazine of Cuban rock. Tell about you. How were your beginnings in the music? Hello!! It is a pleasure to speak with you. The beginnings, as all history, begin from under everything and they are full with hope, dreams and small unforgettable moments. It is curious that the more you learn, more realizes the little thing that you know. As I have understood, you are self taught composer. Did you find difficult at the beginning to compose your own songs? My main motivation has always been to compose music, I love to create something to your way and that you can give him all your personality, to evolve him and to try to transmit feelings and ideas to the listener. I really sing to be able to sing my songs and I believe that it is from the beginning something that
has been quite natural, something that I have improved with the years and I would like to continue making it the rest of my career. I still have many histories that to count. Tell us on your step for Hard Spirit. Does the band stay at the moment in active? How many CD did you make with this band? Hard Spirit was a great stage, unforgettable. We put all our illusion in her. We made a single album that I believe that it has left several songs for the memory, and although at the end the pressure and the fatigue could with us and we decide that the better era to pass page, I don't regret anything. Now ' Amboaje' is Hard Spirit evolution and it is my vision from principle. Being inside this band produces the album premiere Walk the Wild", considered the same one of the best CD in the month for the magazine RockHard, being up to now the first Spanish group in obtaining this recognition. Tell us about this CD. It was an entire achievement, a Spanish band had never achieved that recognition and we found being so young very important. It was a pain not to have had more luck and continuity and to have had the opportunity to make a second CD and to overcome us. Thanks to this album the group had the opportunity to carry out diverse concerts in different regions and they obtained different prizes, among them the noted Villa of Bilbao 2007. Also in this time you received the prize to the best Vocalist. How much did all this represent for the band and does it stop your future career like vocalist? Another great backing, the pain is that at the end it is not enough with that, you need a lot of publicity and supports and if it is not this way, or I eat it passed us, at the end you lag behind. You were also part of the group of alternative metal Sauze. How was your step for this band? How many CD did you make with this band? Do you made any tour? Two followed CD and a small tour. I believe that it plundered me young but it was a great learning for me, singing for the first time in Castilian and in a different style. We were not very lucky and it was not the best economic moment to throw a new band, but enjoyment much of the challenge. I imagine that with an extensive trajectory in the rock, you will have had the opportunity to share scenarios with dissimilar bands. Could you mention some of the bands with those that you have shared scenario? Gotthard, Mago de Oz, Soul Doctor, M-clan, Pereza, and many more. All very good ones and all very big ones. We have learned much of them.
In the 2011 you rush to carry out your career in solitary, presenting new compositions and being winning of the XIV Competition of Rock Ciudad of Oviedo. Was it you difficult to begin your career in solitary? Obtained experience of this? After my step for Sauze, I knew that it played to compose and to continue with my songs and my vision. I began this way to work in them and we say to prove them in direct in the competition. I remember that aim ourselves at the last moment the last day and with a provisional name. Two rehearsals and to play… a great moment, we spend it very well. “Able" and “Five Years Gone" that are in the new CD, it opened in that competition. In the 2015 you conclude the recording of your album "All About Living", album that constitutes the first one that you carry out with your band Amboaje. Album that arrived to my hands and allow me to congratulate you for the same one, because it is one of the best albums of Spanish rock that have heard. How was it the whole recording process and edition of the same one? Some video that accompanies to this album? I believe that the key of that CD is that we form an incredible team from the beginning. My step for The Voice in Television opened me doors and I wanted to use them to make the best possible CD. I knew that it had big songs. I believe that it was formed a very special band with the very clear vision of what we had to get. Then we work very hard to achieve a sound of international character, very care and without ups and downs. I fascinate the idea each topic to have its own identity but maintaining the group sensation. He sails it calls himself ' Over and Over Again', speaks of not surrendering, of fighting for the dreams… it is the topic that opens the CD and it has a great videoclip. It is pure energy; we wanted to present this way ourselves with a topic. How is your work at the moment with the band Airless? How many CD do you have facts with this band? I like the idea of not being pending of everything, of centering me more in being the vocalist and frontman. My work is to make the voice melodies and the letters and, although I am not very accustomed to adapt to the songs of other and there are times that I find difficult that it asks me to make it otherwise… on the other hand it is enriching and it makes that everything is fresher, innovative for me…. it makes you see the things otherwise.
We have just published an EP ' Make it right' and now in March - April - May we will make a tour in the main Spanish cities. I believe that it is a great beginning and it promises a lot. Without place to doubts you are possessor of an enormous trajectory like composer and singer. How would you define your musical style? How do you see your future inside the music rock? Rock, without more… a topic can be harder rocker, another more country, another it is a ballad… but the base of everything is Rock and I like the music with energy and that the topics evolve from principle to end. Do you know something of the rock that is made in Cuba? If you were given the opportunity some day of coming to Cuba to show your music? Would you make it? I know several Cuban bands, I even have Cuban friends that are in Spain and they are spectacular, but of Rock not a lot, I would love to travel and to play and to share scenario with those big musicians that you have there. When you say that we go??? Jaja Well Tony, thank you again. Before finishing, something that you mean the Cuban public. I want to send a hug to the whole Cuban public, I am for sure you will love our disk. You don't get lost it. From the Cuban scene
SWITCH The band is founded September 11th 2005, although already the idea had arisen some time ago before it didn't go until this date that decides to leave to the light. From a principle it is determined to defend the gender Hardcore because it gave the possibility to be very critical in the letters and to denounce from our optic youth everything with what we didn't agree on a more and more coarse and dirty society. The members at the beginning would be José M. (bassoonist), Lázaro (drum), Eddy (guitar) and later Darien would arrive. Although it had the formation a second guitar, this never ends up working live. With many desires of leaving to demonstrate to the world what it felt and in the way that would confront it they arrive to the Festival King Metal of Pinar del Rio, taken place in the month of December of 2005, to less than one year and where Tendencia them headquarters their instruments stop this way to make their first appearance in public. In 2006 they continue being presented in several festivals but this year it was marked by something more, the exit by the light of their first Demo called "Days without Sun”. This demo, besides giving them to know beyond the frontiers of the country gives them the possibility of being known being presented in the acquaintance nationally it TV program Cuerda Viva and in which it would obtain in 2008 the prize to better Beginner Band. In 2009 the AHS of Pinar del Rio grants them the Prize D'Arte for their acting in the cultural life inside of and outside of the provincial territory. The recording of a second demo left rule in this year, "Ignorance", the one which although it took a video clip of the topic "Voting", this it doesn't receive the prospective connotation but then they are called to what would be the first international collection with Cuban bands, the Brutal Beatdown where they present two songs that it are pointed out by the famous magazine of rock Metal Hammer. This it would give them the possibility of being listened in diverse homes of the world and of participating in the gigantic Brutal Fest taken place in Salon Rosado de la Tropical. During the 2010 they stay working around in diverse spaces and festivals of the national geography. In 2011 it goes out to the light their first CD called "False Friendship" with which they are nominated to the Cubadisco Prize in the category metal. One year later is united to the alignment a second guitar, Reinaldo Porras (ex-Medula), and for the first time they begin to work with 5 musicians and that year the Demo N.T.S is recorded. The continuous band making a constant work inside the national scene up to the 2013 when, after Reinaldo's retreat, it arrives to the band Yanio Lee (ex-Escape) and sometime later Darien would be substituted by Maikel Pérez by problems of health. A new Demo called "Broth of Thorns" takes in 2014 out of which they take the topic it "Plagues in my Streets” to carry out a clip. One year but it takes, in 2015, a new Demo comes out, "Of the Bowel" and with this they are presented in Alive Rope after two years far from the screens. At the moment they are recording their second CD which will come out under the Brutal stamp Beatdown Rec. and it will take for name “Exile". They are also preparing a new clip which it will be seen soon in the program Lucas. Switch stays working actively even in the scenario after the recent discharge of its alignment of the drummer founder, which is substituted by Roberto, current drummer of Estigma DC and who has worked with several bands inside the gender in the island. At the moment they will be continued presenting in each place where they are acclaimed and they will continue giving the best thing of if on the scenario with it’s already more than 10 years.
Everybody hates Nickelback, here the reason
If you know something of rock, you will know that Nickelback is one of the hated bands in the last times. Their music is qualified of commercial, conventional, boring and completely false, what is a great true, so much that it was studied by specialized critics from Finland to determine the reason behind all this. According to expressed an article of Mentalfloss this Canadian band is something that "all world likes to hate". In fact, if somebody says that they like immediately believes create reject and reject (obviously), for what an investigator of the Eastern University of Finland, Salli Anttonen, took to the task of revising critical of the albums of Nickelback from the 2000 up to 2014, finding that in most of them the band has had the stigma of its popularity mainstream. In other words, it is another pop band, without authenticity, what makes it a plastic product and anything genuine, as it is picked up in most of writings about the music that it produces these "rockers". This critics have also been focused through those years to indicate that the songs of this grouping are good and sure" where alone they are an “illusion of the hard rock", awarding them holding of false, forced and one of the most comic and good: "music interpreted through teeth squeaking", making emphasis in that zeal in seeming rude and with the feeling of the rock, but anything that to see. Another point that it have in against these persons, as if was not enough, it is that they are sometimes accused of sounding very similar to bands so dear as Nirvana, but without adding anything original to the formula, rather they take out topics that can be described as grunge in version light. In a part of the study, Antonne writes: "The hope and memory of the grunge can it turns to settle in the worst way in the hands of bands like Nickelback that
represent everything that in what was in against this gender, as it is it the commercial aspect". It also adds that: "The same success of the band mines its ability to pick up something of the grunge and the metal, because there is not anything metal in something that your mom listens in the radio". Nickelback in essence is a boring band, with too predictable and therefore simple music. Nobody feels that the form that they try to project is real neither, none of them seems dangerous and when they attempt it, it is noticed that they are making an effort too much. They have a song it has more than enough drinking hard (that is to say to drink as animal) but nobody believes them that these good Canadians have a life of excesses, with critics that even finished them saying that they speak of drinking when they not even take in the concerts. Now, where does it end up soaking music of this type with more easiness? If, you guessed, in the adolescents. It seems that this is the public to which point with all their commercial wave and letters pop music, making that in the touches they can be seen adolescent almost in panic screaming next to their parents that have to accompany them", according to expressed Anttonen in another part of their rehearsal. In summary, the study defines this way the reason for which is hated to the band: "Nickelback is too much of everything to be enough of something. They follow the expectations of the gender too well, what you leave like a false, but also not well made imitation, what is interpreted like a commercial tactics and it lacks of a stable and sincere identity�.

Bu: PMU Artist: Congregation CD: Scream of Death Qualification: 4 of 5 stars A couple of days ago, a friend proposed me him to point out this representative disk arguing that in spite of his values, era ignored by good part of the fans of the Cuban metal. After a couple of you listen, I began to not edit this review that took me more time of the accustomed one, because it cost me to decipher the music, but for the sharpness with which I had to approach each aspect, because my friend is a great expert and devote of Congregation. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the challenge and now I wait for their fair valuation, to the one that you friend reader can be added. Already entering in matter, I telling that Congregation is considered as one of the best bands that has given birth to the Cuban scene of extreme metal and particularly, of death metal. Their performances in direct are legendary for the intensity and the brutality wasted on the scenario, alone comparable with those offered by their compatriot Combat Noise. Their CD´s are not much less impressive and influential, and that that it are independent fruits, that is to say, productions that anything has to do with record label. Scream of Death is a CD of death metal that to first listened surprises and it is that the topics are eminently slow with alone some quick passages. It is kind of a death-doom much more blow, anguished and devastating that the one sketched Autopsy (pioneer band of the style) in their celebrated Funeral Mental premiere. I clarify that although Congregation slow down a lot, not for it loses power their proposal, the riffs is overwhelming and robust, and the voices so profusely guttural that touch the humanly possible thing. I can assure to the lovers of the most ominous ferocity that have an option here for the one which to be delirious. The musical production is acceptable, mainly if one keeps in mind that they didn't have the equipment and other conditions that they are required. With this I don't mean that the sound approaches to the international standards of quality, but yes it is in agreement with those gotten by most of the Cuban exponents of metal underground. To go a little farther in this sense, different circumstances are needed and especially, the existence of a record label dedicated exclusively to diffuse the best metal that takes place in the country. To create this work they joined efforts and talent of Jorge García (guitar), Lázaro E. Castro (vocal), Joel Salazar Suárez "Kaoz" (bassist) and Ariel Bustamante Suárez (drummer and manager). As we can notice, it was a typical alignment for the proposal type. The experience played a decisive list in the result, since this it is the second disk that forges the machinery of the capital. The experience is valid for everything, but when making music it can represent a gigantic difference.
Now I will refer to an aspect that I keep always in mind when valuing a disk, the cover, since it is who is in charge of defending it before placing it in the reproducer. We live in a world where the appearances play a fundamental paper and I eat direct consequence there will always be many indisposed people to listen a disk to have a mediocre cover. In this case, I should say that regrettably it is not good, but at least it is in perfect synchrony with the title. It seems that it is a borrowed taken image of some poster of movie of horror, since it exhibits a covered face for a sheet that emits a scream in their agony and with him is escaped the life. The letters approach the desperation, the mental illnesses and the death. Being all these quite recurrent topics for the death metal and their derivations. Imbalance examples and alienation are present in the own titles of the topics, like they are: "Lost Mind", “Neurotic Existence” and “Victim of My Own Paranoid”. Recapturing the properly musical description, I should stand out the success of those vigorous and aggressive riffs that it drive for horrific places. And the voices don't stay behind; alone the residents of the Hell can treat cries of similar magnitude without being destroyed the throat. There are not doubts that Lázaro is a gentleman vocalist. The percussion is competent, when it requires it is calmed and methodical, but when one needs the opposite, it is quick and crushing as a heavy locomotive to all machines. With a total of nine topics and approximately 30 minutes of duration, this it is a little short CD, however, it seduces you, it wraps up and when it finishes, you are requesting more. Highly advisable for the lovers of the flunk and the feeblest ferocity that it can provide the death metal made in Cuban earth.

“Make Some Noise” is entitled the new CD of this super rock band. The CD will be ready present on August 5th. “Make Some Noise“, which was superbly recorded and produced by Marti Frederiksen (Aerosmith, DefLeppard, MötleyCrüe, Buckcherry) in Nashville in February and March 2016, contains ten originals plus two inspired new incarnations of The Who’s ‘Join Together’ and Creedence Clearwater Revival’s ‘Fortunate Son’.

Fear Factory In the already distant decade of 90 in last century, I was a devout of the proposal of the American band Fear Factory. Their disk of 1995, the titled album Demanufacture, published through the record label Roadrunner, follows me seeming fundamental to understand the metal carried out in this decade. In that CD all the features can be appreciated that characterized the sound of the one assembles in that stage, that is to say, the total synchronization among the potent guitar riffs, a battery to all pine nut, a decisive rhythmic support from the first floor and a voice able to move among the style of song of the death metal and in other moments to assume an absolutely clean and melodic vocalization. Tracks included in the phonogram like Replies, Zero signal and Self bias resister, give test of the before affirmed. Regrettably, the egos that so much are given in the musical world they took to that the group is involved in judicial disputes among its main members, to see who kept the rights of property on the name of the community. In the period in that the mediocrity was imposed to the talent, I stopped to pay them since attention the CD that put in circulation in similar stage, I found infamous. In the past 2015, Fear Factory gave to its fans the possibility to enter in contact with a ninth CD, denominated Genexus, to which have been able to consent in recent date, thanks to Alain Manduley. This CD has a conceptual character in the letrĂstico, because it approaches the human being evolution and the machine, until the instant in that both they become one. In that sense, it is inspired by the theory of the technological singularity, developed by the futurist Ray Kurzweil, director of engineering of Google. This way, the texts of the pieces here picked up discursion about what would feel on the world, around itself and in connection with the man's past, the hybrid one arisen between a human and a machine. Genexus is also good to present to a couple of new members in the formation, the drummer Mike Heller and the bassist Tony Campos. With this alignment, we receive a sound proposal that it reminds me the times of previous works as Digimortal, something of Transgression and certain brushstrokes of Demanufacture. We attend, therefore, to a return to the formula that made of the American band an authority inside the panorama of the industrial metal. Autonomous combat system, court that opens the CD, begins with an intro robotics that opens the way at full speed to a double pedal of the drummer, powerful riffs and infernal voices wisely combined with passages in that Burton C. Bell evidences its potentialities for the clean song. From now on, we find topics with an excellent production (classic and heavy sound, but with a fresh and renovated treatment), typical of that it makes the German company Nuclear Blast, it signs that it is the one that publishes the album. In Genexus we also listen certain epic air, provided by Damien Rainuad and Giuseppe Bassi from the keyboards, ideal complement for the dementia’s grooves, syncopated riffs and interrupted phrasing that signal Fear Factory chore. The new thing in the CD would come represented by the use of more commercial melodic lines that in previous works, example of that which you/they are courts like Anodized, Soul hacker and Dielectric. CD that sounds a hundred percent to the Fear Factory in their group, to the margin of the commercial focus that is perceived in some pieces, we are before a proposal that us retrograde to the moment more iconic of the grouping, without the smallest discussion a classic band of the best metal in all the times.
