Directly from Nordic lands we receive this potent band, belonging to the catalog of the label Nuclear Blast. With an outstanding participation band is in the most diverse European festivals it has a very similar style to Motorhead as for the use of certain elements. But let us let that it is Shady Blue, vocalist who puts us a day on this band. By: Alejandro PĂŠrez

When and where arises the band? How are their actually members? The band was started as a jam project back in 1999. At that time only Shagrath and Nagash from Dimmu Borgir was in the band. They wanted to have an alternate band to Dimmu Borgir which played different music. They both had a passion for rock music and wanted to start another band too. It took 5 years until the first album came out, Doomsday Rock n` Roll. By then Tony, Luna, Eddie and Ricki had joined the band, and Nagash had left. The same 5 people recorded the second album in 2007. In 2009 I replaced Eddie on vocals and we recorded Third Round Knockout in 2011. After that album Ricki and Luna left the band. Mr. Damage and Ogee replaced them and that is the line up still today. As we know the band was formed in 1999. From this year to the present many members has left the band and others entered. Why? Well, many different reasons actually. In the beginning Nagash just lost interest and was out of the band quite early. Luna had a daughter and wanted to focus on family and we parted as friends. Ricki was actually removed from the band coz of lack of interest and dedication. He started not showing up for any rehearsals so we had to let him go. Eddie was busy with The Carburetors and other commitments, and when it came to the bands forst Festival in Germany I was asked to fill in for him at the show. I knew the guys from before so it was an

offer I gladly accepted. The show went so well and nothing changed with the schedule of Eddie, so the band finally asked me 6 months later to join permanently. I was on board full time August 2009 then. We found the perfect replacements for Ricki and Luna after the Third Round album in 2011. Mr. Damage on lead guitar and Ogee on bass. The lineup has been steady now for 4 years and it is working very well. How many CD do you have made until now? And videos? 4 albums: 1. 2. 3. 4.

Doomsday Rock n Roll (2004) Booze, Broads & Beelzebub (2007) 3rd Round Knockout (2011) Infernal Rock Eternal (2014)

5 videos: Serial Killer Bulldogs Unleashed Lady of Perpetual Sorrow Endless Nights Ghostriders in the Sky (cover) How Chrome Divison define their music? Pure Doomsday Rock n` Roll. It has elements of heavy metal from time to time, and even stoner rock on the latest album. But in pure form we are a hard Rock band. AC/DC is a huge influence of course, but we don’t try in any way to copy their style. In 2014 you made your last CD until now, named “Infernal Rock Eternal”. Could you tell us how the process of recording and edition to the same was? We worked with EndreKirkesola at DUB Studios in Oslo. We tested one song in this studio coz we had never used it before, and it worked out very good. So we did the rest of the album in bulks over a few months time. It was ok to go back and forth from the studio to your home, but ideally we like to travel far away to a studio and stay there all together for the whole recording. It creates a special vibe that you cannot capture when you go home every night. But we worked really hard on the sound of the album and had the best equipment available so it worked out good! Which the main influences of Chrome Division have been? We are 5 different people with varying taste. But we all agree that classic hard rock from the 70`s and some from the 80`s is the best music. Rock music you can drive to, party to. Music that just puts you in a good mood coz the drumbeat is so cool and the riffs heavy. We don`t have a main influence really. We like to

clear our minds and make our own music, and then people can call it what they want. We even played at a German pure Black Metal festival once and the crowd loved it, so I don`t know. We have a kind of universally accepted hard music and can fit in just about everywhere it seems.

Why Chrome Division decided to sign contract with Nuclear Blast and not with another record label. What are the advantages of work with Nuclear Blast? Well that`s easy. It`s the world’s biggest independent metal label.. Who wouldn`t want to sign with them if offered a deal? I had been there with my old band Susperia for 2 albums and had a great experience with them. Shagrath has been on Nuclear Blast for almost 20 years now so he knows them very good. The label liked the music very much and saw the potential in the band. That`s an opportunity you have to take. Now a days, it is spoken about the problems of the rock and metal scenes, but we have seen as recently are leaving a great numbers of young bands. What does think Chrome Division about this? Any of these new bands that Chrome Division listen and you can recommend us? To be honest I have no clue of what you`re talking about.. I haven`t noticed or experienced any problems with the rock or metal scene‌ If you ask me metal is as big as it has ever been. Bands that were big in the 80`s are now bigger than ever. Testament, Megadeth, Exodus, Slayer etc etc. They are all back bigger than ever and playing shows all year around. And the new bands like Sabaton for example are monster huge. There are more festivals in Europe than ever and all the tours I have done the latest years, with both Chrome Division and Borknagar, have pulled a lot of people to the shows. The scene is thriving and

growing bigger every year it seems. I don`t know what`s going on down in Cuba, but in Europe the metal and rock scene is at its most popular ever. A lot is happening all the time. Granted the album sales have gone down coz of the internet, but that is now old news, and bands are touring more than ever instead. I personally don`t get into much new bands these days so I wouldn`t know what to recommend. I am too busy working with music so I probably miss out on some new good stuff.

Thinks Chrome Division that Internet is a good platform that helps to that many bands comes out? Or otherwise is a means that harm to this world? Both yes and no. The internet killed the album. Many bands are just releasing songs now online. But the industry has to adapt to the evolution and find other ways to make a living. I mentioned more touring and the sales of merchandize is still good. But of course the internet is very good for a lot of things. It`s easy to promote your band to millions of potential fans. You can communicate directly with your fans, something they appreciate, and it`s endless ways of reaching out to different people. Everytime something cool is happening you can post it on your Facebook page and promote tours and other stuff you do. Our country was visited by many rock´s band. In 2005 came Audioslave, in 2008 came Sepultura. The last year came The Dead Daisies in February, CJ Ramone in August and ZZ Top on December. Have think Chrome Division to come to Cuba any time? We want to play everywhere, especially places we haven`t been to before. We visited South America in 2012, but only had 2 shows in Brazil. It would be nice to tour the whole continent and do as many countries as possible. But it`s mostly economic reason that prevent it. It is quite expensive to get the band and crew over there and when you`re not the biggest band it gets harder and

harder. We are ready as hell! But we need to find the right booking agencies that have the balls to bring us over. I know the turnout of people would be good. Based on the fact that we have never been touring there, and I know Chrome is quite popular amongst South Americans. And not to forget the overall dedication and passion you guys show the music, it`s unbelievable playing over there. I remember crazy shows with Susperia and the one time Chrome went to Brazil was also amazing. So yeah, of course we want to come. It`s the best place to play, really makes us appreciate what we are doing. Two last questions. How Chrome Division see the future of the band? What Chrome Divison thinks about the future of the rock music in general? I have no idea what the future of rock will be like. But I think it will never die as a music form. Even though all the crappy pop music still dominates the charts, rock music will always stand as a strong independent force on its own. It`s not just music you know, it`s a lifestyle. Once you get inside it you never want to leave. When it comes to the future of our band I know we will continue recording albums and still release them physically, on CD and vinyl. We are in the process of recording the new album now actually. 3 songs down and 7 more to go. It`s sounding really good! Looking forward to get it out there maybe already this year. And we will consider all concert offers that come in and try to put together another Euro tour next year and hopefully do some festivals. And yeah, keep on working towards getting Chrome Division to Cuba and South America, for sure! Well, Chrome Division thanks for your time and for answer this questions. Any words that Chrome Division want to say to the Cuban people that love the rock. Wanna give a big shout out to the fans of many years. Thanks for supporting and sticking with us. Your dedication means a lot and is a driving force when making new songs. We really hope to finally one day come down and do some live shows for you. That would be fucking awesome! Cheers guys and rock in the night!

Teeze is a American Cuban band established in Chicago. With an outstanding trajectory pointed out in the main radio stations and influenced by the hard rock of the years 90, PJ Alvarez (drummer) decided to contact with me so that I interviewed them and with pleasure I consented. Without here I leave you this interview where we will know all envelopes this potent band. By: Alejandro PĂŠrez

When and were arises the band? Who are their actually members? Teeze was formed by Alex Tyler, who had got a gig before even having a band. This prompted quick action into contacting friends who played instruments. Alex Diamond on drums, Dan Szkola on lead/rhythm guitar & Billie Ghetts on lead/rhythm guitar. With only 2 months before the gig, the band worked quickly on rehearsing covers, writing & recording original songs for their debut. They recorded the demo at Windy City Rock. The demo was very low budget & not very high in quality. The 1st gig was played at Skateland Roller Skating Rink in Friendship, Wisconsin. Immediately after, the band continued rehearsing & writing new material, but due to the distance & living on college campus, Dan Szkola couldn't make half of the rehearsals which resulted in the band seeking out new lead guitarist Joe Schnoebelen. With Joe on board, the band rehearsed & started playing out in the Chicagoland area. Teeze went into the studio to record their self titled debut album, but half way through the session the recording studio closed its doors & for no apparent reason the band called it quits leaving the album unfinished. Soon after the break up, Alex Tyler asked some friends from other bands to back him as Teeze in hopes of getting a new line up together, but after playing

& searching he eventually gave up & moved on to join local band SIIN as their bass player. Alex Tyler and PJ Alvarez dug out the old master tapes, completed the Teeze album & In 2007 signed a deal with Retrospect Records. It was released on February 1, 2008. As a result of the release, the band has reunited & has been doing shows in support of the release. Current lineup: Alex Tyler (Lead vocals and bass) PJ Alvarez (Drums.) Martin Contreras (Lead & rhythm guitar.) Bill Bhullar (Lead & rhythm guitar.) Why the name of Teeze? Any special meaning? Its dirty, nasty and Rock n Roll. How many CD´s do you have made until now? And videos? We have two CDs one original from the nineties and another release of raw material and live material. We are currently in the process of releasing to live CDs period one when we opened up for Ace Frehley and the other when we opened up for Jackyl. We do have a full-length DVD live concert coming out that was recorded when we opened up for Ace Frehley at the Arcada Theatre

in Saint Charles Illinois How you define your music? Pure rock and roll. Along the lines of Motley Crue AC/DC Van Halen Which have been the main influences of the band? The band has many influences it's hard to pinpoint what really drives our music. We just like good clean fun rock and roll. Okay maybe not so clean LOL As band you have the opportunity to participate in many festivals and play a lot of concerts. Any festival or concert that you remember in particular? It’s very hard to narrow that down. We enjoy all our shows. Whether we play for 10 people or we played to a thousands. They are all memorable for us. What means for the band to have shared scenario with big rock stars as Ace Frehley (KISS) and others? Which band have been shared stages?

Sharing the stage with this really was an unbelievable experience for all of us. Especially having to grow up and being influenced by Kiss. It was an unbelievable honor. We have share Stage with Ace Frehley Jackyl (3x) Ted Nugent Quiet Riot Warrant Bret Michaels (Poison / Rock of Love / Celebrity Apprentice) Yngwie Malmsteen Slaughter Danger Danger King of The Hill Tuff (4x) D'Molls (3x) Lita Ford Enuff Z'nuff (8x) L.A. Guns (3x) Phil Lewis (LA Guns) Taddy Porter Bang Tango (5x) Trixter (2x) Ted Poley (Danger Danger) Cheap Thrill (junto con miembros de Cinderella & Collective Soul) BulletBoys (5x) Jeff Lebar (Cinderella) Jazmine Cain. Killer Dwarfs Dilana (3x) PJ Farley Wayland Pretty Boy Floyd Let it Rawk (Warrant frontman Jaime St. James como vocalista, Dokken's Sean McNabb en el bajo, Robbie Crane (Vince Neil Band and Ratt, Stryper's Oz Fox) como guitarra lider y Jeff Duncan de Armored Saint como guitarra lider) How is the scene of rock in Chicago? The scene in Chicago has always been a rollercoaster ride. A good one but also a tough one. If you’re in it for the money forget about it don’t join a band. You gotta love what you’re doing. And we definitely do. Any band that you can recommend us? Yes, Teeze.

Have you had the opportunity to play with some Cuban band? No. But we do have an incredible opportunity come 2017 to be direct support for La Cuca. Can we see you here in Cuba some time, now we are neighbors? I would love to have the opportunity to be part of a big Festival. It would also be great to finally meet my family. They have been dying to meet me all their lives lol. Do you know something about the rock that is made here in Cuba? I’m not really familiar with what Cuba has to offer as in rock bands. I do know the fact that The Rolling Stones and The Dead Daisies were recently there. I would love to be part of an event of that scale. Just to expose cubita more great rock and roll

Well, before to finish something that you want to say to the Cuban public and to the readers of this magazine. Music is an unbelievable drug. And we need to make sure that everybody is exposed to it. That’s why I thought it would be a great opportunity to have this interview. With the Cuban magazine. Me being Cuban. It’s a way to get us exposed to a Market and culture that would normally not know anything about us. Websites teezerock.com Facebook.com/teezemusic

Parasomnia is a Cuban band coming from Santiago from Cuba. Although the members of the band are not professional they stand out for their high level and outstanding participation in diverse national festivals. But let us let him to be their managing Ernesto Piedra who puts us a day on the band. By: Alejandro PĂŠrez. Greetings to the members of Parasomnia and be welcome to this their Cuban rock magazine. It is a pleasure to be able to interview them. * Thank you for the invitation, a greeting for you and to all the readers. To begin. When and where Parasomnia arises? Who are their current members? Of where they proceed? I will begin being that Parasomnia arises in Santiago from Cuba in November of the 2008, the current members are: Rosario FernĂĄndez (vowel) of HolguĂn, Marta Acevedo (bass) of the Havana and Ernesto Piedra (guitar) of Santiago. How does it classify the music of Parasomnia? * Our music classifies in the death Melodic. Which have the main influences of the band been? The influences have been made of the European metal, of Sweden specifically. How thematic it approach in your songs? The thematic ones are all the related to activities paranormal, extraterrestrial, abductions, etc. I have listened several topics of you and I see that they sing in Spanish. Why didn't you decide to sing in English as most of the rock bands in Cuba? * Well, with regard to singing in English, approximately 5 years ago we are making it, that that you listened was with the previous singer who didn't have a lot of easiness for English and he decided to leave them in Spanish. Until now you have recorded two demos "Expediente X" and "Parasomnia". Comments us something on these two demos. How was it the edition process and recording? How was it received by the public these two disks? * We have 3 CD: "Expediente X", "Automata" and "Automata (remix)" in English with the singer, the recording process and edition and it mixes a total due

disaster that the time was money was and you already know you arrived to a limit of time and there was not but money of where to take out and of course everything stayed fifty-fifty, separated the one that recorded is not expert in metal and he didn't help us a lot when mixing, a lot of people like the musical work, but with the mixtures and everything the rest is disappointed anyone. "Parasomnia" is the name that will take our demo or independent disk that it is in process and I wait that it goes out with all the possible quality, since we are preparing it and designing ourselves with great tranquility and time more than enough. In the 2012 they participated in Cuerda Viva festival where you obtained two nominations. What did this represent for the band? * Yes, in the 2012 we obtained two nominations, one eats beginner band and the other one as demo metal, and in the 2015 we obtained another as better metal band, it won't be a lot, but for us it meant enough, they were opened many doors, mainly thanks to the interview of the first presentation in Alive Rope, since I had the opportunity of the q to say it was passing in Santiago with regard to the rock and the remiss case that made the institutions like culture and the Association Hermanos Saiz in the territory. After that explosion in the middle of concert, the AHS had the gracefulness of granting us the cards of this association in public, jaja that nerve class. Time later receives us the profesionality, this time if it was thanks to the national AHS that made all the steps for today to belong to classify of the Provincial Center of the Music in Santiago from Cuba. The band has stood out for the wide participation in diverse national festivals where you have shared scenario with the main Cuban rock groupings. How do you see in these moments the rock festivals in Cuba keeping in mind organization, quality, the public's attendance, etc? * I won't mention the festivals that are for not hurting feelings, but some are in decadence, their organization is terrible, many are centered in bands of the capital, and it is not that I has anything in against, but man, alone you have to look at the posters, example, a local one, two or three of counties and the remaining of the agency, with regard to the public in occasions are very poor, other times there is a lot, that is also relative and complicated in turn, because it depends on the bands that they play and it can be that that it is not since a good day the selection of the bands they are not to its pleasure ,o they are not well located, sew that the organizers and producers should work a little but when to organize and to locate the positions of the bands that they will play that day, because the festivals are to have a good time, it doesn't stop to get bored and less to be saturated. One of the main impediments that finds in these moments the bands rockeras in Cuba is the impossibility of consenting to the cultural market of the island and mainly to be able to record some disk with record

Cuban. What does Parasomnia say of this? Do you believe that this someday it changes or will they follow the bands recording their disks in an independent way? * I believe that it leaves of blame in this he/she has it the different entities of the country, all that markets vat for the world is the rumba, rum, tobacco and mulattress, alone you have to look at the catalogs, the specialized magazines and never truth something that this related with the rock made in vat. It leaves of blame we also have it us same for not making us feel, or to conform to with very little and of having some change that it will depend on that we make, and if, the only road at the moment that it is necessary to take it is the independent production of disks, because any record one Cuban it goes you to pay attention, unless you have a ´´BIG ´´ presupposed and everything leaves the curtain from behind as always, believe it. Which do you believe that the true paper of the Cuban Agency of Rock is? To defend the rock in Cuba or to brake their development? * Will this sound brutal, but the only thing that the Cuban Agency of Rock, do they defend their personal interests they are, because with regard to promoting bands of the country I see it very distant unless the bands of the Havana that if they have their support, I remember when the agency one believes, was it said and did it publish in an number of Scriptorium that it was necessary to be professional and to belong to the center of the music to belong to the Cuban agency of rock, do I ask you, of all the professional bands of county ,me could say those that belong to the agency? This 2016 the band arrived to 8 years of having created. Eight years where you have had to overcome thousands of obstacles and they have known how to leave ahead. What will we be able to expect presently from Parasomnia and the future? * With regard to the present, not to stop, to focus us in what we want to make to be able to arrive and to make it in big, of the future the only thing that I can tell you is that there will be changes in the band and I wait that it stops well, that of but it is to wait results. Well, I want to thank them again to consent to this interview. Before finishing something that they want to express or to add. * Ok, is necessary that you have as these they continue expanding for the whole island to have information of all that related in the one that to make and thinking of the bands, and that a form or other these they can be expressed without nobody points out them with the finger. On the other hand we are very grateful to keep us in mind, and we want them to be very successful in this voyage so difficult that they are undertaking. Particularly, my respects and a lot of luck.

I knew about this group through the noted Spanish rock magazine The Heavy and I decided to contact them. Their music is totally different to the rest of the Spanish bands because they sing in Galician. On the why of this, their first CD and other questions comment us David and Javier, with contributions of Cristian. By: Alejandro PĂŠrez.

David Greetings to the members of Millo and be welcome to this Cuban rock magazine. It is a pleasure to be able to carry out this interview. Thank you. For us it is a hugh pleasure to carry out this interview. To begin. Why the name of Millo? Some meaning especially? There is an internationally well-known group that it calls himself "Korn" that means corn, but clear, like it is in English and it is " Korn " it sounds brilliant, because we are "Millo" that is corn in Galician. To it collides. When and where Millo arises? Who are their current members? What cause the change of members? The first time that was spoken of joining to make this musical project was in Ourense in 2010; that year we left Erasmus and we said that to the turn we would join to form a music group. Said and fact; in the 2011 we join to play and in the 2012 Millo arises. Los miembros actuales son: The current members are: -David Count Seoane; voice -Abraham smaller Blacksmith; bagpipe, wistle, flute travesera and gralla. -Javier Montenegro GuillĂĄn; guitar, second voices and choirs.

-Cristian Sergio Rodríguez Martínez; bass and choirs. -Eloi Pascual Nogué; drummer, percussion and choirs. The change of members was due to different likes and work; Our first drummer, Victor Montenegro, left because he wanted to play heavy metal and more complicated things that the punk. Cristian left during one year to work to Cyprus and it was substituted that time by Alfonso. Our first gaiteiro is a wild, cheerful gaiteiro, to play in popular parties, to drink, to dance, to encourage to it collides, but that when locking in a study, to tune their instrument and to record during hours repeating an and another time the same thing, because he didn't feel to pleasure, then Abraham entered contributing, to part of the bagpipe, the wistle, flute travesera and gralla. How would define your music? As punk-folk, rock, ská and reggae. We always decant for the punk, and little by little we went him taking to terrestrial folki. Although from a principle we speak of not classifying our musical style, if somebody wants to play a ballad, a country or a reggae, because it is played. Which have the main influences of the band been? Los Suaves, Siniestro Total, Lapolla Records, Bob Marley, the Xabarín Clube, Os Rastreros, Juan Pardo, Heredeiros Da Crus, The Berrones, Andrés Dobarro… At the moment, it don't stop of arriving new musical influences. Why to sing in Galician and not in Spanish or in English as most of the Spanish bands? The question is simple. In the place that we live there is an official own language apart from the Castilian that is in fact the Galician. It is a language with certain attractiveness to communicate apart from that is a little what we use here to understand each other when it is necessary to understand each other, for this way to say it, with forcefulness. There is a bad situation that we try to correct using the Galician for the songs. Separated, it has this way more merit to leave out. English has its validity, but how he/she could have it Italian or Swedish. There is not anything that it grasps us neither anything that it means us with English. That concept of globalization should disappear of our mental outlines. Here a lot of music is listened in English, and most doesn't understand it. However, there are thousands of problems to put a song in any other language of the own state because it doesn't understand each other. Here is a

little hypocrite, if one thinks well, and the music doesn't stop to be in itself an universal language. It is not the language, it is the soul of the music what arrives to the heart. I have understood that the band stands out for the use of instruments like the bagpipe and the flute, among other, something that is not very common in the rock bands. Why do you decide to use these instruments? The truth is that those instruments of wind supplement the songs very well, and the rock admits many variables. In our culture the bagpipe means happiness, party, culture and tradition. A good bagpipe in a song beast, makes that beast sounds to the square, she gives him a traditional touch and folki that we love. AC/DC was the pioneers in recording bagpipe in “It's to long way to the top if you wanna rock and roll” in 1975, and the result is brutal. For another band, it seems that the idea of the rock is limited to fill the scenario of guitars, a first floor and a battery, when keyboard, contrabass and instruments how the trombone or the saxo were part of the beginning of this style. In February of the present year it leaves your first CD homonym. How was it the edition process and recording? How many songs does it bring the CD? Thematic that approach in the letters? Some video to promote the same one? It was long, productive, amusing and expensive. Everything in one. We didn't know very bién what we faced when we spoke of recording a disk, for us it is the first time that we face a serious project as this. We have burdened some loose song, but not something like that, and the truth is that we learned much of this experience. We begin recording in a study in Ourense, a study that didn't understand our musical style, so finishes burdening 90% of the disk in Breaker Studies in charge of Eloi Pascual, and he made an excellent wor, we are very happy. The artistic design of the CD was in charge of Santiago Paredes, great type that plundered our idea from a principle. The disk brings 10 songs; 9 own topics and a version of a Galician traditional topic "Estróupele Estróupele" that is a muiñeira, of which we made a version heavy. In our letters we use the humor to speak of the hypocrisy that exists

everywhere, the unemployment that we suffer for some time, and people that look down on you. We have a videotape of the song “Curriculum" that it speaks of the difficulties that it is necessary to find work in Spain, the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4nl1D-Pq6r8 Have you had the opportunity to participate at some time in some festival, so much national as international? With which bands have shared scenario? Yes, we have played in festivals in Galicia and Palencia. El Sons da Lameira, in Vigo, in the Naufrago do Paradiso, in Monforte, in local festivals, in employer parties‌ One time we share scenario with Def con Dos, it was the most potent group with which we play so far. Every day I surprise myself with the quantity of rock bands that there is in Spain. How do you see in these moments the scene of the Spanish rock? In ascent or just the opposite? Some band that you could recommend us? Last month it was organized a called festival Rocktiembre that was carried out equally 38 years ago that surrounded the attention of the specialized and not so specialized means. The poster was compound for practically the same bands that in 1978. I believe that that almost already gives answer to the three questions, because how they say here, to good listener, few words are enough. The supposed scene is very local, but the truth is that that almost you can appreciate in all the environments of the culture. What opinion does it deserve you the paper that it play the rock magazines like form of promoting to the rock bands so much well-known as not very well-known? They are valiant and they make what they can, but, the consideration that is necessary to keep in mind, is that what you can make is to certify which are the big and well-known (those that were historically, rather) placing them in its covers and indexing them in several pages, to get the attention of a great public, waiting the small or less well-known to also be read in the holes that can have in function, many times, of what you/they can pay for it. Separated, we return to that of before. The physical format is decaying, and the digital one, no

matter how much it is in rise, it doesn't replace that hole. To see if not reason big publications said goodbye to so much personnel along these years. Future plans? We are preparing everything to record a new disk, closing a concert in Naples and one in Madrid in San Patricio's day (St. Patrick´s Day). Do you know something on the rock that is made in Cuba? I am certain that it was difficult the rock that was made in Cuba to come out outside of the opposite ones and even that enjoys Eloi popularity in the own island, since the wellknown line here is that of people how Pablo Milanés, Silvio Rodríguez, Celia Cruz or Buenavista Social Club. But to my hearings it arrived a called group a couple of years ago Porno for Ricardo that they turned out to be a so much transgressors and peculiar. Not very more, because in spite of having family in the island, the styles that become trained us move away some what is the thematic rock. If at some time you were given the opportunity to come to Cuba would you make it? Undoubtedly if, we would be charmed!!! Well, before finishing, something that you want to say to the Cuban public and all the followers of this magazine. Well, what to say in the times that it run? We are very grateful that avid readers of novelties exist in the musical panorama that occupies us, and of course very grateful also to notice this small territory to occupy with their pages the magazine, giving us the opportunity to arrive to some people that, for our own means, it would be impossible. This yes that can be the globalization very expert, assisting to the peculiarities of each territory, allowing them to have a place in the one that to raise their voice to be listened and read, for all those that consider this way it opportune. La Ley de Mantua is a group of Rock from Madrid that it was born in the year 2003 to make of the music its expression. Its aim point at level of influences noticed bands like Muse or Heroes del Silencio, but in turn they looked for its own sound language, that that made them sound fresh and moving at the same time, since another of the big intentions of the band, it has always been the one of causing intense sensations among its followers. On the beginnings of this band, their most recent CD and other elements Alex Mantua singer, guitarist and leader of the band comments us By: Alejandro Pérez. Greetings to the members of La Ley de Mantua and be welcome to this Cuban rock magazine. It is a pleasure to be able to interview them. Hello, very good. It is a pleasure to speak with you. We are glad a lot that you are interested in our musical project. To begin. Why the name of La Ley de Mantua? Some meaning especially? Yes, our name has a special meaning. We take it out of the work of Shakespeare, "Romeo and Julieta". La Ley de Mantua, inside the work, is the law that prevents the Druggist to sell Romeo the Poison that finally will end up with him. Our name was chosen, because it is identified very well with our thematic one dramatic and sentimental of the songs. When and where does the band arise? Who are their current members? From where do they proceed? The band arises in Madrid, Spain. Nacho and me (Alex Mantua) we begin to interpret the songs of our favorite artists; soon after we decide to compose our own works, for this way to be able to share and to make of our music expression form. Lineup: Alex Mantua (Singer and guitar) Ignacio Benítez (Bass) Sergio Córdoba (Drumm) Iván Guzmán (Piano) The past October 22 you new disk titled "Calma" came out. How was it the edition process and recording of the same one? How many songs does it bring? Some promotional video? How thematic it approach in the songs?

Plans to promote the CD? How has the so much CD been received by the specialized critic as for the public? The CD contain 10 tracks: Rostro en Guerra, Siempre, Despiértame, Corazonada, Merezca la pena, Se escapa, Casiopea, Lo que nos mueve, Trato de disimular y Réquiem. The recording made it with the producing Iker Arranz. It was a process very care and very beautiful. We leave ourselves the soul in the composition and in the execution of the disk. We knew what we wanted of the disk and Iker he helped us to take out all the force of the songs. We have recorded a videoclip recently of our it sails of the CD, "Siempre", in which we play with the lights and shades like dramatic visual resource. It is available in our Channel of Youtube. There is thematic diversity in the CD, but the feelings and the hope prevail. We believe that the sad songs are very encouraging. The disk has been very well accepted by the public that has grown since we take out it. Our promotion plan is to give it to know to all the possible means, as well as to play it for more and more people until nobody is indifferent with our music. Apart from "Calma ", how many disks does it possess the band? We have 3 disks. "1". Which we gave ourselves to know and with the one that we win the competition of bands Viñarock. Where we could share scenario with very potent bands of the National musical panorama. "El Origen de Todas las Tormentas". In this disk we had the pleasure to collaborate with Leo Jiménez that contribute their great voice to one of our songs, "Fugaz la madrugada." "Calma". Our current project, with which we are very built up hopes.

Which have the main influences of the band been? Our main influences are Heroes del Silencio, Dinero and Muse. As you would define your music? Intense, sentimental and sincere. What did it represent for the band having been winning in the 2012 of the competition Viñarock? With which bands shared scenario like part of the carried out tour that year? A great experience that it opened us doors was and it helped us to mature as band. We share scenario with Sober, Hora Zulú, Skunk DF… Thanks to the success of "El Origen De Todas Las Tormentas", you carry out a tour at national level. Comment us a little on this tour. In that places were presented? How was the welcome on the part of the public? We were for the whole Spanish coast, of tip to tip from Tarragona until Huelva. The welcome was excellent, very warm and grateful. This year the band turned 13 years of having created, and that is enough time. How do they remember the beginnings? Did you think that you would arrive so far? What do you believe that you lack to improve or to change? We are a band that day by day we learn and we grow. We improve to each concert and with each composition, to connect more and more with our public. You never imagine until where you will arrive, but certainly us, from the beginning, we have wanted to work a lot and very hard to arrive far the more

ones possible. The Beginnings of the band were that of some 16 year-old boys that enjoyed with the music, and every Friday when leaving class they met to play. What opinion does it deserve you the paper that it play the magazine like form of promoting to the rock bands? It is very important for us that a means as this is interested and want to lean on. We are glad a lot the magazines to help us to make echo of our songs. Future plans? To give many concerts and to continue composing to be better band every day. We want to share our music with the whole possible people. Do you know something on the rock that is made in Cuba? The truth is that not but we would love to know more. If at some time you were given the opportunity to come to Cuba would you make it? Without a doubt some, would love us. It would be a pleasure and an opportunity that we would not allow to happen. We are wanting it. Well, before finishing, something that you want to say to the Cuban public and all the followers of this magazine. A pleasure to have spoken with you a while. The Dead Daisies “Make Some Noise” By: Toño Martínez Mendizábal (taken from internet) Supergrupos, superbandas… very used terms and, for it, many times worn away by the use. A superbanda or a supergrupo, in my modest opinion, are that that is compound for big musicians that, also, believe and they interpret big topics. It is for it that not all the formations to those that that label has been applied are it for me. The Dead Daisies yes that are worthy of her. It is still stranger than bands of that type they continue maintaining that consideration after important changes in their formation. However, the project that began the composer and guitarist David Lowy (Net Phoenix, Mink…) in 2012, it left more than reinforced of their first changes and a tremendous Revolution was marked that was of the best thing of last year and it was good them to rotate and to open up for Kiss for our satisfaction. In this occasion it only is not a change of members, since to the extraordinary Richard Fortus (Guns N' Roses and guitarist of the first formation) the brilliant Doug substitutes him Aldrich (Whitesnake, Gave…), but rather it is also conceptual, because Dizzy Reed (pianist of Guns N' Roses) it has not been substituted, passing the band to the classic singer formation (John Corabi MötleyCrüe, Ratt…), two guitars, under (Marco Mendoza - Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy…) and battery (Brian Tichy - Whitesnake, OzzyOsbourne, Foreigner). With this team Make Some Noise has been created, an album of category that has not conformed to with the mentioned modifications but rather, also or in fact for it, he has given a stylistic turn, being centered more in the classic rock with white influences of Aerosmith or Mr. Big, to mention some of the big ones, but in the one that has space the creative freedom, reflected until in the two elected versions for the band: Join Together of the Who and Fortunate are of the Creedence. Both are very resolved and they surrender tribute to the musical tradition of the rock, like it is the desire of the group, but they don't stop to be versions. The essence of this Make Some Noise whose title is more than a declaration of intentions, they are its own topics and with them we go now. Long Way to Go opens the CD to the guitar style and it constitutes the battering ram of this album, like in its day it was it the Mexico for Revolution. That yes, without a videotape so I magnify as that. The rhythmic base TichyMendoza, very accompanied for Lowy, it spreads and it pays the land for the crop of the duet Corabi-Aldrich, but it is clear that this company is a cooperative and its objective they are the songs of this level. Virtues that will accompany the whole work that continues with a rhythmic We All Fall Down, in the one that, that is said that is said, I begin to see the touch Aerosmith that Make Some Noise has and that it hooks me. The work of Corabi, full with master and personality like of habit, and the musical talent that Doug demonstrates it would not shine without the team that they have behind. Song and a Prayer leans on in a riff that remembers to those of Slash, but the topic goes in the line that I have just pointed out, very clear in the refrain and the antesolo-alone one, as well as in the rhythmic treatment, only within reach of both bands. Mainline deepens in those qualities, with that type of melodies and registrations that so much transport us to Boston, to create one of the roundest and classic topics in the disk. What don't you find enough cane for a direct one? Because

there the Make Some Noise with a beginning based on the battery and the guitar; box and riff and the voice in the way hymn for direct". Simplicity only broken by the alone one and with the objective more than clear. Last Time I Saw the Sun is another of those compositions that, if as me, you love the mentioned references, they will make you enjoy the pretty thing and you will be wanting to enjoy live. All mine it Mines sample the same virtues and sound and, I insist, for there is it to have a rhythmic base of first. It has a refrain that will embroider in the skittles the duet Corabi-Mendoza, like in their day made Marco with the teacher Coverdale. How Does it Feel, And what you feel for the time being? I enjoy, the truth, with a topic whose refrain with choir and answer, their rhythmic treatment and their guitars (except for the alone one that is more " Aldrich " than other) they evoke more than ever to the hosts of Tyler. Tremendous. But, if it is necessary to be liberated, one is liberated with a riff more hard rockero-metalero and we already have a Freedom that takes out us some the line that most of the album marks. The first floor and the refrain shine, but at the end everybody unites to the party, demonstrating that this nosegay of stars doesn't lose occasion of loosening. Because they can and they know. Before saying goodbye, with the second of the versions, an All the Same us very classic and full Same of references mentioned that, as the whole album (available in CD DigiPak + Sticker and in 2 LP + CD), it demonstrates that one can make a personal work and of great quality without giving up to surrender tribute to a style or other bands. To me this Make Some Noise likes it a lot. Tracklist and cover of the CD 1. Long Way to Go. 2. We All Fall Down. 3. Song and a Prayer. 4. Mainline. 5. Make Some Noise. 6. Fortunate Son. 7.
