Editorial At the end of June the world of the rock was shocked with the sudden death of Chriss Cornell to the 52 yearold age. Although they were never said which was the cause of their death, everything seems to indicate that he decided to follow the steps of their idol Kurt Cobain and he took off the life. With their absence the Grunge loses since another of its maximum defenders, as everything they will know, Chriss was the mind teacher behind two monstrous bands like they were Soundgarden and Audioslave (both already disintegrated). As many of you will remember, Chriss Cornell landed next to Audioslave in Habana in 2005, where they offered an unforgettable concert of more than two hours of duration. This way, Audioslave became the first North American rock grouping in offering a completely gratuitous concert and outdoors in Cuba. Another news. After 23 followed editions being developed in United Kingdom the one Download Fest, one of the most important rock festivals in Europe and of the whole world it will arrive at the end of month in Spain for another of their editions. This first edition of the festival in Spain will be developed the days 24, 25 and 26 of June in the Magic Box in Madrid under the name of DOWNLOAD MADRID. Another of the big losses was that of the brilliant monster that was Chuck Berry, pioneer of the jazz and of the R&B that later it would bequeath us big contributions to the world of the rock and at the same time it was inspiration in the entire world for thousands of bands. Next month of September this magazine will turn two years of having created. Two years in those that in an uninterrupted way, I have taken them all that that as for the world of the rock, so much national as international, it happens. It is for that reason that from the previous edition and starting from this the following numbers will come quite loaded with news, reviews as well as interviews to big bands and many things more. This band created in the 2011 already counts in it’s to have with 5 CD, 2 of study and 3 EP. "Whe The People” constitutes the 3rd album of study of this band and its most recent work, which will see the light the next one June 2. To star. When and were arises the band? ¿Who are their actually members? The band started in 2011 by myself & Russell Allen. The current lineup is: Russell Allen - Vocals Mike Orlando - Guitars Jordan Cannata - Drums David Zablidowsky - Bass The next June 2nd will be released “We the People”. ¿What can tell us about this new album? Well, “We The People” it is our 3rd studio album in which we feel encompasses a great blend of all the musical styles that band has covered in the previous releases & what makes up the sound of Adrenaline Mob. We are also excited to debut our new drummer Jordan Cannata on the new album as well. ¿Plans to promote the same? ¿Next tours? We have currently just started a worldwide promotion for the new album “We The People” & just released our new video for “King Of The Ring” out now along with pre-order for the album & single. We just announced the 1st US Tour & plan to continue touring straight through 2018.
How do you think that your fans will received this new album? And the specialized press? We hope the fans will very much embrace the new album as it has a great blend of all the styles & sides of Adrenaline Mob's sound. What represented this for the band? Any experience that you remember about this tour? It was an honor to tour with such great acts! Those were 2 of my favorite tours for sure. The bands treated us really great & we had such an incredible time being out on the road with them. Every night for me was a night to be remembered so it's hard to pick one out. In 2015 during the presentation of your EP “Dearly Departed” you lost to your drummer A.J Pero due to a heart attack. How the band overcame this
tragic event? What represent for the band the lost of A.J Pero? It was very hard to overcome the loss of AJ. For me personally he was not just a band mate but one of my closest friends for the past 20 years. It still affects me & always will. AJ was not only a phenomenal drummer he was one of the nicest most caring guy guys I've known. He is truly missed & the band was thrilled to have shared the time, albums & touring that we did with him.
This year you will arrive to 6 years of have been created. What we can wait of Adrenaline Mob in the future? Well lots of touring to come for sure for our new album “We The People� which comes out worldwide June 2nd. We've only just begun lol... lots to come. Can we see to the band here in Cuba sometime? Influenced by the roots of the European Viking Metal, these 5 friends a good day they decided to unite to make rock of the good one. With the step of the time they were consolidating and Yggdrassil, band coming from Spain was born this way. On their most recent titled work “All Shar Burn”, future plans and other questions comment us their members. Por: Alejandro Pérez Tell us about the beginnings of the band and who are their current members? At the beginning we were as colleagues to rehearse a covers couple and the afternoon to happen, but as we advance we decide that we no longer wanted to play another people's music, we wanted to begin to compose own things, and YGGDRASSIL was born this way. At the moment YGGDRASSIL composes it, Growlmund (David/voice), Sküld (Claudia/guitar), Mjölnir (Dani/guitar) and Ivar (Ivan/drum). Of where it leaves the name of Yggdrassil? What does it mean? Because we like the topic of the Nordic mythology, we chose this name like a reference to the tree that holds all the worlds of this mythology. Yggdrassil is the tree of the life that sustains the 9 Kingdom in the Nordic culture What bands did they influence you to choose the Viking Metal like definitive gender for their music? Each one has our own influences, a white influences obvious general it is Amon Amarth, but we don't owe him everything to them since among us we listen to bands like Six Feet Under, Arch Enemy, and Wardruna... Bands that don't have to see among if, but that they influence us to take out that sound. In 2015 was released your First EP entitled “One step closer to Valhalla” and recently through a Verkami campaign saw the light your first CD “All Shall Burn”. What advantages did it bring you that campaign with Verkami and that we can find of new in this work with regard to the previous one? The campaign of Verkami helped us much since regrettably we don't have more than enough money, so that help impelled us to carry out a more professional work, since we could invest it to be able to take out a very good sound quality. Tell us a little on "All Shall Burn". How was all the related with the recording and edition of the same one? The recording is carried out in the same place that our previous CD, the studies Inguz of Zaragoza, while the masterización was work of Lucas Toledo of Theocide Studios, also of these lands.
How many songs does it bring? On that the songs go? It is made up of 10 topics which have topics based on mythology or in battles, we try to create an atmosphere of war in the CD. Some promotional video? At the moment we don't have any video but in a future we will take out it sure. How was received the CD for the public and the specialized press? At the moment we are happy since we are receiving very good critics of countries like Germany, Finland... that are countries that promote much more this musical style, and of course many Spaniards which are also very good critical toward our work. Where one can acquire this work? At the moment we are planning the tour for this summer, we are closing dates. In regarding festivals, not yet we have had occasion of defending our music it has more than enough scenarios but we don't close to anything! To the being a young band, I imagine that it has been them difficult to open up road inside the panorama underground of Spain. As they come in these moments the scene underground in their country and the options for the young groups that arise, like you? The Spanish scene the truth is that it has rough many diamonds, but is people the one that has to make triumph to those bands and that it is one of the main problems, people's lack that bets for new bands‌

To star. When and were arises the band? Who are their actually members? Greetings to the metalheads and rockers of Cuba and thank you for this interview! Amken were formed back in 2011 and the original members included me and Giannis. After several lineup changes many lives and 2 (EP and LP) recordings AMKEN now are: Vanias on vocals/guitars, Giannis on guitars/backing vocals and Harris on the drums. Which are the main influences of the band? We are mainly influenced by the old-time classic thrash metal giants. You know, Metallica, Slayer, Sepultura, Kreator etc. But we always have our ears and minds open and listen to newer thrash metal bands like Suicidal Angels, Havok, and Lost Society and so on. Apart from thrash metal there are some other genres that each of us listen, like and may influence a part or a whole song of AMKEN. We are pretty open about that! How do you define your music? We would define our music as old school thrash though we have a lot of different styles mixed up in our songs. Mainly though we play Thrash! YEAH!
In 2014 you released your first EP “Adrenaline Shot�. How was the process of edition and recording? How many songs contain the EP? How was received the same for the public and for the specialized press? Where it can purchase the same? The recordings of our EP called "Adrenaline Shot" started at the last months of 2013 and ended early 2014. It was recorded, mixed and mastered at Made In Hell studio from sound engineer David Prudent. It is a 4 songs EP. We had so much fun during the whole process and learned a lot of how it is to be working with a professional studio. Ever since, our relationship with the studio is very close since we have been rehearsing there every week, since then, plus we decided to record our debut album there as well. The press and the public really enjoyed the outcome of what came to be "Adrenaline Shot". It was the first thing that presented us the opportunity to play with some very cool bands such us Six Feet Under, Sodom, Skeletowitch, Nervosa, Bio-cancer, Skull fist and also to have some mini tours in Europe.
What represented for the band has won the first Top Of The Rocks contest? Top Of the Rocks contest was a nice deal. It was a two phase contest; first you had to be chosen from the public to play to the finals and at the finals there were also three judges among with crowd voting again. The cool thing was that although there were not as many metalheads in the finals (the other 2 bands were rock) and we didn't get as many crowd votes as the other bands, we won the contest because all of three judges voted us as 'best band'. Pretty cool!! In 2015 the band was support of Planet Of Zeus in the School Wave Festival in were you played in front of more than 1000 people. Did you think any time be part of a festival like this? What represented this for the band? We always dreamt of playing in a festival as big as School wave. It's a dream that every person who plays in a band wants to come true. Our goal is to be able to play to festivals like this and much bigger and we are working hard to accomplish that. School wave festival was an awesome experience and it gave us the chance to play in front of a really big crowd and show them our music! In this moment you are working in your full-length album. Tell us something about the same? What will be the name? How many songs will be containing? Well actually it just got released, 1 month ago from No Remorse records! It is our debut album which we recorded during July-August of 2015 at Made In Hell studio. It is called "Theater of the Absurd" and it contains 8 fast, neck breaking thrashes metal songs. If someone liked our EP "Adrenaline Shot" he's gonna love "Theater of the Absurd"! What we can wait of AMKEN this year? Future plans? As I mentioned before we just got our debut album released so we can't wait to hit the road. Immediate future plans involve a European tour for the promotion of "Theater" so we are now looking forward to plan this. Well, before to finish. Thanks once more for your time for this interview. Biography
GROND shows their first signs of life in the year 2002, in a basement of the dark and cold Moscow (Russia) due to their founders and motive force, Kist (drummer and vocal) and Dust (guitarist). In the 2005 the band made explode to the audience during its first concert. In that same year their first demo was recorded. Then, of some concerts, some that another tour and changes in the alignment, they record “Steel Coffins”, EP that would go out in the 2010 with the record label Atomic Carnage Records. After 3 years in the 2013, you see the light of the day the album “Howling from the Deep” via Assault Records. For that time Daemorph (bass) unites to GROND, taking the control mainly the concerning thing to design in the band. From that moment they begin to look for topics in all the concerning one to the marine depths discovering mysteries of the gods that you/they inhabit the aquatic world. The second guitarist Raze is inserted to the group before the recording of the EP “Cosmic Devonian” of the year 2015 that it was thrown by Grotesque Sound Productions and with the blessing of the powerful Dagon, believe their second album “Worship the Kraken”, that it has 9 hymns dedicated totally to the marine God, warriors and you kill of the grandiose ocean, including a version of the American monsters GOATLORD and that it was recorded by Xtreem Music. The music of GROND is a Death-metal of the old school, originated at the beginning of the 90s, with a rusty and invaded sound of algae and mollusks.

The Cuban underground music continues their renovation and modernization through the mixture of several sounds, and today is tendency among the beginner bands the coalition between the hardcore and the electronic music, giving a gender as a result to which the critics have denominated electronic hardcore, electrocore o trance core. In this scene it has stood out, without a doubt some, the Cuban grouping that today occupies this review: Waiting for Nadia, that with their CD premiere La última palabra, it was able to open up a space in the independent musical scene. The name of the group was kind of an enigma for its followers during a lot of time, but its members cleared the doubts a couple of years ago, when they explained in an interview that the term Nadia didn't make allusion to a person in specific, but to that that more each person wants for yes, or what hopes to find in some moment of her life. Before carrying out a deep analysis, it is important to mention some data of interest. The album in question was thrown in the year 2014 first floor the independent stamp Studio Zero, it is compound for ten songs and a bonustracks, possesses a duration of 41 and a half minutes, and their design, consistent in an almost empty theater with the logo of the band among the borders, it was in charge of Viktor J, while the credit of the masterization corresponds to the own recording study. Already entering in matter, that that more we will find along the disk they will be the electronic arrangements, the distorted guitars and the duality between the clean voice and their guttural tally. So that Waiting for Nadia believes an attractive and modern atmosphere, and a radiant sonority of freshness. Almost similar of attractive it is that most of the songs is interpreted in Spanish that which, although it is not an unpublished phenomenon inside the Cuban metal, it is not a practice very diffused among our bands. The CD starts up subtly with the intro “Decisiones”, that it combines keyboard and synthesizers, to break up in the second ends with the sentence: "This is my decision", and to open the way to one of the achieved topics in the CD, and the only one sung completely in English: “Nadia”. In this hint they are prominent the distortion of the guitar and the quick percussion, but the most excellent thing is the catching refrain to two voices and the harmony of the final choirs, as well as the one fadeout, that it stumps the hint until the complete silence, and that it will almost be a habit, like we will see later on.
Another hint that sounds particularly well is “Nuestra meta”, that it begins with energetic screams and strong distortion on the part of the six strings, and it continues with moderate intensity until a refrain to clean voices where the synthesizers and the battery are tinged, achieving this way a little a piece more melodic than the previous ones, with a superior finish to the rest, and a sonority in the same line that groups of first line in the gender like the North Americans Abandon All Ships and the British Enter Shikar. Flirting fifty-fifty among the techno and the dubstep, and although in the last compasses it incorporates something of percussion, under and guitar, “E=mc2” it stands out highly as the first topic without voices and the only one of electronic music. While “Javelin”, the bonustracks of the CD, it intrudes in the roads of the extreme metal, particularly in the Deathcore, without leaving to a side the coalition with the electro, the breakdowns of metal core and the habitual fadeout. Already in the lyrical plane, “Un kmbio en mí” and “Regresa” they propose us histories of love that don't always culminate with a perfect end of soup opera. “Falsa ilusión” and “Sueño despierto” reflect the abrupt rupture that exists between the utopia and the reality. “Seres” tosses us in face that everything in the life will arrive to their end, and the potent “Imita y fracasa” reminds us that the main virtue to achieve the victories is the originality. With a to become promising, Waiting for Nadia not alone it reaches with La última palabra the premiere that many desire in the popular musical scene, but rather it is able to produce a CD of high sound quality. Not to fall in the routine, to vary the letters a little and to acquire experience through the time will be the mission of this group in a next future. While that happens, it has left us then to their followers to complete the mission that these youths propose us in the back cover of the CD: "to go outside there, to where it is, to find our Nadia." News The rock musician Bruce Hampton dies in the scenario The musician and rock guitarist died while she took place in the scenario her 70 birthday with a concert homage among friends in Atlanta. The musician and American guitarist of rock Bruce Hampton died last Sunday April 30, while he took place in the scenario its 70 birthday with concert homage among friends in the Fox Theatre of the city of Atlanta (Georgia), they informed today local means.
