Javier Hernández, Boni, was during more than 30 years the vocal of Barricada, one of the most famous Spanish rock bands of the all times. About their beginning in the music, their step in Barricada and his personal projects talks us in this interview By: Alejandro Pérez

Boni, first that all a greeting and thank you to consent to this interview for this magazine of Cuban rock. Thanks to you for the interest. Tell us about you. How your beginning in the music was? Said us something about your first band, Némesis. In my house I listened a lot of music thanks to that I have had bigger siblings and they were enough a day of what was listened in that time from the 70 to the 80, Rolling, Beatles, Pink Floyd, Lou Reed etc., undoubtedly of there I was sharpening my pleasure for other things with the time, but I remember it as something that hooked, music. It already began between the 15 and 18 years to entangle with all it with respect to play and to learn of what listened. For that time the one that had restlessness for this history joined with kindred people, and the purpose was to be able to have a place to be able to play. In the case of Nemesis it was that, four lads that had the opportunity to make noise in a local, but it didn't end up being band. The case is that if there were instruments and local, there was opportunity to pass a good while with something that roused you like it was our music. How do you arrive to Barricada? Nemesis made an only performance (1982) in a square of a neighborhood very emblematic of Iruña called the Chantrea, in Basque Txantrea .En that performance appeared the Drugs and its partner, we met each other and there it was the thing. But then we coincide in a line bus and surprisingly it was when it outlined me to be part of a group that had in mind, to what I answered him without doubting it that yes. He was quite well-known in the city and in their neighborhood for their linking with the rock of that time and I saw opportunity to make something serious. Being inside Barricade already participates in several projects and collaborations. How much did this represent for you and your future career as musician? Could you mention some of the bands with those that you made collaborations?


I have always been open to collaborate with who requests it to me; it is something very beautiful that they want you to put your grain of sand in projects where they trust you. And every time that made it I dove until the bottom, if they trusted me I have to make it and to take care of it as if it was mine, and that era my philosophy. I took place to a group of Bilbao like the Rage, Bad Swigs of Barcelona, and I collaborated in enough songs of bands where they wanted to have my voice in some verse or refrain. All this represented and it represents a valuable learning for the technical and human of each moment. In 1992 you record your first CD in loner titled "Dangerous Animal Company". Do you talk us about this CD? This CD that was recorded and it published in 1992, it was carried out a stop that made Barricade to take air taking advantage. The pretense was not to make it durable, my head simply had songs and I wanted to build them to my way, conscious era that had to make it in one year and it was this way. In the texts of the songs I adapted my brother's poetries José María Hernández L. to mingle with letters of my crop. I had for the preparation of this work another brother that played the battery in a group of these called lands Zarrapo, to the first floor Angel Aryans, this came from blue Blood, it was also part of Red Baron, taking advantage of these relationships rushed to record it with Polygram, company of the moment in which Barricade published its disks. We made a performance here in Pamplona (Iruña) and we had to suspend another in Madrid for an accident that it had the battery, it turned out to be a tour sigh, didn't give time to more. In 2013 for different problems it arrives to their end Barricade after an extensive career. How much did it represent for you the end of Barricade? It was a very important moment for the delicate of the decision, but the band already had before fissures and it was not very surprising, although for that reason I didn't stop to be a difficult situation. But it was necessary to continue ahead and I kept the positive thing that it is to have been able to live 33 years with a band of rock and roll.


Now in the 2015 you return with another production. Is it the CD “Incandescent”. How was it the whole edition process and recording of the same one? After to digest that the things will change and to take a time to know that that exactly wanted to make, I began to want some enormous ones of making songs, so much so that locking in my small study and without respiration beginning to compose. They flowed me the chords, the letters fit with my ideas, it felt well, and for the good and bad I was my only critic, that challenge I liked it. All this without having clear who it would have to record it, that that more I worried in that moment they were the songs and their content, knowing that it was a challenge this new adventure and just as the rock industry is now. Once clear the songs moment went of getting the musicians that it was quite laborious for changes of formation that I had to make of last hour. In this aspect I should admit that to secure the band is it that more it is costing. But to record “Incandescent”, my recent work, I guessed right with the musicians that worked in the study. It was recorded between November and December of the 2014 to leave to the street in April of the 2015. How would Boni define its musical style? I like many music types, I am of the opinion that each moment has its sound band, but for the musical education that has received my hearing, I like what has hardness and attitude, I would like this way to be defined, with some word that contains those two postures or direct Roc and roll… hopefully to the heart. How do you see your future inside the music rock? To be sincere, very tricky. It is not easy to begin a project and to explode to be in the breach from a first moment, it is long career and of patience, although I sometimes think that neither for those. I don't put on very high goals, to my alone history I ask him to have a hole to be able to make my music, to know people that wants to share this idea and to play where wants to see you the


personnel and that you of option of to live and to be able to continue thinking of another excited work. As we know you come from Spain, a country with a great reputation as for the music rock, groups like Baron Rojo, Angelus Apatrida, Heroes of the Silence and Mago de Oz, among others possess a great trajectory as much in Spain as in the whole world. How do you see today in day the scene of rock and roll in Spain? The rock and the punk in all their slopes, they have always been excluded but I knows how to defend and it has arrived at the moment up to now, today it shares with many more styles the musical scene that before, although I believe that that has enriched it. They are the own bands those that take out to it floats their projects in an almost handmade way. I would not say that the panorama of rock and roll is bad, but yes very difficult, for that reason when a group rock comes out ahead, I find an achievement, and I speak of leaving to before referring to that has a circuit of concerts and enter to a study to work etc. there are more shades but this would be a summary of my opinion. In all ways it is continued hearing the noise of the guitars‌ Do you think that it has gone decaying or just the opposite? It has gone decaying their diffusion, the CDs is not sold, now it is other the format, that of the nets! But you depend that their acceptance is for millions of person, but you are more an ant. The performances in rooms are difficult to fill when it is something novel or that it doesn’t have a strong promotional support. They are difficult times with those that it is necessary to cross with the social and clear problem, everything it affects. But however they continue going out groups with desires of making things, knowing that they will have to put of their pocket if it is that there is something in him, and everything for the great liking that tosses him people that wants to be devoted to this. If you were given the opportunity some day of coming to Cuba to show your music. Would you make it? Without doubting it, I know something of Cuba and I would not care at all to repeat, it is one of the many places that have engaged to visit with my partner and if it is also to play it would be grandiose! Well, Boni before finishing something that you mean the Cuban public. I would tell them that I like Cuban character and for that reason I wish them the best in the futures, mainly because they have worked him to him and they deserve it. Brutal Fest During the days 19 at February 28 the so prospective Brutal Fest, this time corresponding to the winter edition, Brutal Winter Fest will be developed. The friend David Chapet, president of the organizing committee of this important festival, kindly has sent me the data of the bands that will participate and the promotional poster of the event.


THE PRESTIGE is a four piece alternative hardcore band from Paris, France, formed in 2009. Biography: Hailing from Parisian outskirts, THE PRESTIGE delivers adrenalinefuelled music outside the classic bounds of hardcore, punk and noise into an ideal of tense-and-release aesthetics. Their heavy and fierce live shows brought them around Europe (Netherland, Belgium, France, Italy, Switzerland) and United Kingdom along with bands such as The Dillinger Escape Plan, Every Time I Die, Stray From the Path, August Burns Red, The Secret, Hierophant, Raein, Liferuiner, Goodtime Boys, etc. Recorded in two weeks in an old chapel in Normandy with Amaury Sauvé (Birds in Row, As We Draw, Comity) and mixed by Magnus Lindberg (Cult of Luna, Refused, Poison the Well), their debut album, “Black Mouths”, showcases a raw and intense hardcore sound with strong rock’n’roll and punk influences along with subtle and breathtaking interludes. Paris has always been filled with clichés of romantic love and bright lights over the river Seine but those was has spent time in the French capital could speak a different portrait of the City of Lights. Filthy streets and the heady smell of piss in the metro corridors are the real face of Paris and this is what bred THE PRESTIGE upon writing their second album “Amer” (2015). « Paris is the city we were born and grew up in. We love our city as much as we hate it. And it naturally became the background of this new record» explains Alex Diaz, singer and guitarist. “Amer” draws a new face of the Parisian quartet and pushes even forward the boundaries set on critically acclaimed debut album Black Mouths. Darker and heavier, the band’s new effort is driven by raw bitterness. But bitterness is not anger. Bitterness is not hatred. Bitterness is not a revolution. Bitterness is the rotten fruit of haunted memories and aborted innocence. Bitterness is the familiar frustration and underlaying violence that one gets used to. It is the rage that was tamed. It is the golden hopes that don’t shine anymore. It is the mumbling of a disillusioned youth that grew up too fast. And that struggles to explode. BIRDS IN ROW is a 3 pieces hardcore band from Laval, France, formed in 2009. Biography BIRDS IN ROW is a band of Hardcore coming from Laval, France. Is formed the band in 2009 and after a line-up change in 2014, the current alignment is made up of Bart (voice, guitar), Quentin (bass) et Tim (battery), being the true names strangers for the public and the images of its cut faces or not identifiable in its videos and promotional pictures with the only objective of seeing in B.I.R. an united band and not three individualities. “Rise of The Phoenix” (2009) and “Cottbus” (2010) are first two EP taken out by Vitriol Records who reissued them together in 2012 first floor the name of “Collected.” Deathwish Inc, stamp of Jacob Bannon (of it CONVERGES, to see RM#02) apparent their interest of reissuing “Cottbus” but the deal of the band is other and it proposes Deathwish the new disk in which you/they are working. This way, BIRDS IN ROW becomes November 2011 in the first and only French band signed by the noted North American stamp and “You, Me & The Violence” it leaves in 2012; from then on, B.I.R. it has not stopped of rotating for almost all the continents and it shares the European scenarios, Englishmen and American with the biggest in the Modern Hardcore as it CONVERGES, RISE AND FALL, BLACKISH HILL, THE CHARIOT, DEFEATER, TOUCHE AMORE, CODE ORANGE KIDS and many more. A split-up BIRDS IN ROW with WAITC (band of the same city) it leaves in 2015 first floor one of the best French stamps (Throatruiner Records) and through Deathwish it leaves “Personal War” to final of October 2015. At the present time, BIRDS IN ROW is one of the bands from more grateful Hardcore to international level, proposing a music mixing hardcore, punk and other subgoods, loaded in abrasive sounds, emotions, melancholy and crudeness. YARDS are a four piece a negative hardcore band from London, United Kingdom, formed in 2011. Biography: YARDS are a negative hardcore band from London, UK. After spending years in real bands, we all met and decided being in a fun band that made a crazy noise and bled from every orifice would be much more entertaining. We've written 15 songs together in 4 years, which is pathetic, but it'll make the album a banger once we finally finish it. Alex, Tom, Rainey, and Hugh complete the handsome line up.

THE CANYON OBSERVER

Biography: THE CANYON OBSERVER is and a five member sludge, post-metal and atmospheric black metal. They involve sheer primal aggression and atmospheric noise escapades in their music. THE CANYON OBSERVER shared stages with bands like Russian Circles, Rosetta, God Is An Astronaut, Ahab … The band also made quite an impression with their cover of Nirvana’s Territorial Pissings that was made for the 20th anniversary of Nevermind. In October 2011 they released their first EP, Chapter I: “The Current of Her Ocean Brings Me to My Knees”. Exactly a year later another EP, Chapter II: “These Binds Will Set You Free”, followed. It saw the band’s expansion of the previous heavy, nasty noise with inclusions of progressive and even more daring concepts. The band is touring more often than not. They played in Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Bulgaria … The list goes on and on. They released their first full length LP “FVCK” on November 20th. FVCK is the embodiment of senses overcome with animalistic overload that turns them into nonsensical pleasures of nothingness. FVCK is cruel, merciless lust that devours the body with the power of a thousand orgasms. This time, it features even more horror-like screams, more fearsome growls and creepier chantings by Matic Babic. Darker guitars, heavier riffs and more intriguing entwinings of string by Gašper Letonja and Miloš Miloševic. More atomic booms, more vociferous rituals and lower frequencies of the rhythm section, bass player Nik Franko and drummer Simon Intihar. THE BUTCHER'S RODEO is a 5 pieces Hardcore band from Paris, France, formed in 2010.

Biography: THE BUTCHER'S RODEO is a French Hobocore band formed in 2010 with Vince (Aqme, Noswad) Kwet (Strike Back), Thomas (Vera Cruz), Tonio and Guigz (Seed From the Geisha). Hobocore you say? A raw, furious sound, close to Every Time I Die or Cancer Bats, fed by different influences from the band members which creates a unique register! THE BUTCHER'S RODEO recorded their first EP ‘Like a Hobo Bison’ at Studio Ste Marthe in Paris in 2011 and affirmed their musical freedom. Many shows followed, including opening acts for prestigious bands such as Protest The Hero or Cancer Bats. By the beginning of 2013, Guigz left the band and a new bass player, Junior, replaced him. With this new line up, THE BUTCHER'S RODEO, more eager and determined than ever, recorded their new EP ‘Ghosts in the Weirdest Places’ under the direction of Etienne Sarthou (Aqme), and mastered by Magnus Lindberg (Cult Of Luna, AqME). If the lyrics paint the portraits of ghosts that haunt us, musically, THE BUTCHER'S RODEO hobos trace a winding path between different musical registers: from hardcore to simple and effective stoner riffs, punk or rock. The charismatic frontman, Vince has a voice that ranges from clearly hardcore to mastered, beautiful melodic parts. In 2014 THE BUTCHER'S RODEO released the digital version of ‘Ghosts in the Weirdest Places’, along with their first video clip for the track ‘Eye of the Storm’ and organized a release party in Paris, supported by French Radio OUI FM. Earlier this year, the five Parisians also joined the RAGE TOUR roster and are preparing a European tour! Because it is on stage that THE BUTCHER'S RODEO best share their music "we crash through another barrage of Hardcore shrapnel laden riffage and vocal force but still get a harmonious treat thrown in there" (METAL TEMPLE). FROM THE CUBAN SCENE

Combat Noise is a band of War Death Metal with elements Grind that comes from City of Havana, Cuba. From their birth doesn’t stop to be strong plate in national festivals for the intensity of their music and the explosive of their presentations. Their letters are inspired by the warlike events that were given and they are given starting from the Second World War until our days; making stress in the horrors that these they bring I get, so much for those that fight like for the innocent ones that suffer them. -1995: The band begins to rehearse and to prove musicians. -1996: August 23 offer their first concert, as trio, in the legendary Maria’s Patio and in October their first Demo records: "Marching of Terror” in the Ulises Studies. -1997 After going by different rehearsal local, they are able to establish their base of operations in Maria’s Patio and they begin to be part of the Hermanos Saiz Association. -1998: In February they are chosen by the "School of Cinema and Television" of the Finnish city of Turku to record the documental "We come from Underground", title of one of their songs. In June they record in that Nordic country the one it sails: "Soldiers must like to kill" and interviews are granted for the radio in Helsinki. They enter to be part of the SGAE. -1999: They recorded the Demo: "For Military Supremacy”, sponsored by Juan Formel - from Van Van - (One of the icons of the Cuban Popular Music) in their “Paloma” studies.


-2001: By the middle of that year it leaves the documental "Ruidos Silenciosos" where the band appears next to other national groupings. In November they recorded the Demo: "Awakening in Holocaust" in the Estudios Marine. -2002: In June recorded the Demo: “Radical With The War Enemy” in the “Radio Progreso Studies” and there are established taking into account the survey made by the “Illusion” fanzine (inside a national preselection of 40 with right to vote) in one of the 5 Cubans bands of Rock and Metal more popular of the all times. They go for first time to the TV and they recorded three sons for the “Cuerda Viva” TV program. -2003: In July their appeared in the double compilatory CD “Free territory… In the Frontiers of Cuban Rock” (made by the Cuban Institute of Music) with the track “Platoon”, of their new single: “Under my Rifle´s Fire”. One month later the Government closed the Marias Patio as a concert square, but Combat Noise and other genre bands to keep in that place their rehearsal local. -2004: In June recorded the CD: “After the War… The Wrath Continues”, compilation of the classics group until that date and come to the third place in the survey of the radio program “Sabarock” and the first place in “27 Minutos” of the radio station national Radio Progreso. -2005: In April went for second time to the TV and recorded three sons for the TV program “Cuerda Viva”. -2006: In August come back to the TV with other three sons for an "Special of summer in Direct - Cuerda Viva”. On November of this year organized a concert in celebration of their “Tenth Anniversary”, when other rock national bands made cover of the group and shared stage with other invited musicians. They are selected in the national survey of the program “Sabarock” like more popular band of that year among the Cuban rocks bands. -2007: In August recorded the video - art: “Weapon of Fight”, produced by the recognized Cuban documentary maker Roberto Chile with music and letter of Combat Noise. This work was made in tribute to the plastic artist Jorge Saints and it was exhibited January of the following year 28 in the “José Martí Memorial” and repeated times in the national TV. They achieve contract with the record Mexican “American Line Productions” and this CD took out them “After the War… The Wrath Continues" at the beginning of 2008, being distributed at international level. -2008: n January auditioned for the new Cuban Agency of Rock and they enter to be part of their catalog. In April Not Sauce appears in the compilation of Cuban bands of metal… “Not Salsa… Just Brutal Music” stamps Beatdown Rec with the topics “Sniper is in Position” and “The Empire Strikes First". Months later appear in the one compiled “Brazilian Strength Metal Vol 4” with the song “Gestapo: Bringer of Doom", in charge of Anaitez Prods". That same


song is proposed by the TV program “Cuerda Viva” of and appears in the one compiled of Cuban bands “Rockvivo” of the national stamp “Bismusic". In March the CD records: "Frontline Offensive Forced” and they appear with three songs of the same one in the program TV program “Cuerda Viva”. In August Maria’s Patio closes definitively and they lose its rehearsal local, but in November “Maxim Rock” settles down in the Auditory (headquarters of The Cuban Agency of Rock) next to other metallic bands of the capital. -2009: In February they appear in the “Awards of Ceremony” of the TV program “Cuerda Viva” In April masterized the CD: "Frontline Offensive Forced" in the Durán Studies and they give it to the "Brutal French" stamp "Beatdown Rec". In the voices of the topic Cuba Death Metal the collaboration of Ghost appears (vowel of Witchcraft). In May they rotate successfully during 15 days next to Zeus and Escape for the east of the country. The song “Paratroopers” of its last long duration will come out in the compilation "My Generation that Rises" of the Cuba -Basque record label "Metal" that its production already concludes. In October they record their first video clip for television, under the direction of Alejandro of the Tower, with the topic “Platoon” On Combat Noise has become critical and comments in important magazines, newspapers and national fanzines as Granma, Juventud Rebelde, Caiman Barbudo, Revolution and Culture, Jarock of Coffee, La Huella de España; and international as Metal Hammer (England), Heavy Rock (Spain), Rock Hard (Germany), Iron Pages (Germany), etc… Line up: Juan Carlos Torrente - Voices (1995…) Jorge L. THE NOTTINGHAM PRISAS it is a group of Spanish rock with a very peculiar sound that remind us to the big bands of the year’s 80th and 90th. On their beginnings in the music and other details count us in this interview to which they consented kindly. Answer me Pedro Morcilla, singer of the group. By: Alejandro Pérez.

First that all a greetings and be welcome to this pages of Metal for your Veins. For me is a big pleasure can do it this interview. 1- First question. Why the name of The Nottingham Prisas? Any special meaning? In all the interviews they ask it to us (laughs), this arose once one arrived late to the rehearsal, you already know with the daily stress and with " hurries " and hesitating in this respect and making a game of words is not in a hurry the name of our band it left, it also sounded well us and we decide to call this way ourselves. 2- When and where arises the band? Who are their actually members? The band arises I believe as other many joining 5 friends to enjoy the music, at more professional level starting from the 2009. We are of Miranda of Ebro (BURGOS). 3- Which have the bands that have influenced in The Nottingham Prisas when composing their topics been? Bands of rock-hard rock of the year’s 80th and 90th, by example: Barricada, Leño, Marea, La Fuga etc... (Sphanis bands) and internationals bands as: Whitesnake, Gotthard, Gary Moore, Pretty Maids, AC/DC, etc. We could fill a whole folio (laughs). 4- I have been able to listening your CD “Canciones Perdidas” and I tell them that they have a peculiar sound. How would they define the music of The Nottingham Hurries? It is a mixture between urban classic rock and hard rock, but obviously we identify ourselves with the hard rock.

5- Until now you have made your Scale model-CD “Primera Parada” in 2011 and this year arrive with your second production “Canciones Perdidas”. How was it the edition process and recording of these two productions? Do you have thought to take out another CD later on? "Primera Parada" was our CD premiere which was car published by ourselves in whom we presented our beginnings not very well with a rock defined still, of its recording and edition we have a beloved one I remember since it was with quite reduced means. "Canciones Perdidas” supposed a bestial evolution of the band in all the senses, engraving in the studies LEKIM MUSIC and with the production of Mikel Herzog a singer and producer recognized in Spain supposed a professional sound.


We are preparing topics for this year and if we have idea of taking out new album, although we don't put on date the time goes us marking since we have to coordinate it with concerts.

6-¿ Have you had the opportunity to participate at some time in some rock festival in their country or outside of this? With which bands have shared stage? We have participated in the Miranda rock a festival carried out in our city and we have shared with rock groups like Lord Witch, Porco Bravo, Nekrobabies and a long etc.... 7-Future plans? That it is given to know this CD “Canciones Perdidas” of which are very proud, to prepare face at the 2016 our new album hard-rock and to continue making direct as we take making from the 2009. 8-If at some time you were given the opportunity to come to Cuba you would make it? Pearl Pearl Jam

The Smashing Pumpkins

It would be already moment that Pearl Jam enters in the Living room of the Fame of the Rock. To 25 years of their album premiere, Ten, the group continues having a nurtured legion of followers who in turn maintain active and vital to the band. In spite of having been minimized and insulted by the critic and their colleagues, today in day is undeniable the influence and importance of the band in the history of the Rock. Surprisingly in the moment of their appearance the album didn't sell great thing but until the following year. So

Billy Corgan would like anything more that to be part of the "Olympus of the Rock". Maybe finally would stop to complain that the musical industry, their former partners, the internet or the fans have put him the foot to continue triumphing. We know that the RRHOF has him a particular aversion to the Metal and the Progressive Rock for some strange reason. Kyuss Wretch is the first album of the band under the name of Kyuss, when the previous Sons of Kyuss. Obviously it won't happen, but we wanted to dream for a moment. That of the cap is Josh Homme and the blonde of the mop is by the way Nick Olivieri.


Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and the rest of N.W.A. will be part of the Hall of Fame The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is kind of a prize for groups and North American soloists (and of other Hispanic countries) so coveted as arbitrary. The main clause is that artists that have published its first album at least 25 years ago only consent. Although doesn't have the popularity of the Grammy, the Rock Hall of the fame of the rocker it is kind of a podium to which many want to consent, but, mainly, to arrive. Their music is an amalgam of extreme sounds, but the most recognizable are the death metal and the thrash metal. In the international environment there is who denominate the coalition of these goods like death trash. Demons Have Eats it is an independent disk that takes some time circulating of hand in hand, but that has not received the necessary attention, reason for the one which I decided to point out him. It is attractive to first instance the name, and it is that Cancerbero in the Greek mythology is a monster with appearance of dog of three heads and snake line that it guards the Door of the Hades (underworld or hell). It is always vigilant and it doesn't allow that the deads come out or enter the alive ones. Credited by their previous demo "Start To Fall", engraving in the 2013, the Spanish quintet DEATH & LEGACY publishes its promising premiere now “Burning Death", a work in which present us an aggressive and compact proposal, in which combine to the perfection some potent riffs, some solid and overwhelming rhythmic bases, some melodic vocal lines in charge of its singer, Ely Álvarez, and some firm guttural contributions, giving some compositions that sound as a result fresh, strong and addictive, and that they can end up reminding bands like TRIVIUM or ARCH ENEMY. For the recording of this interesting premiere the Spanish formation has recovered the three compositions that were part of its presentation demo and they have had the services of the producer again Dan Díez in the Sonovision Rock Lab Studios of Logroño. Without place to doubts are before an album where the group seems to have very clear the ideas that they wanted to capture in its compositions and there is not better test of this that the initial topic “Dark Heaven", guided by some potent guitars, some melodic vocal lines and some powerful guttural registrations. But if we want to listen some sharp and sharp guitars and to dive


in the densest and dark thing, anything better than allowing us to guide for the potent voice of Ely in the topic “Start To Fall." Although this proposal of DEATH & LEGACY could be defined perfectly as a thrash/death of modern court, from time to time the grouping plays with a style but traditional and classic, like it happens in the extraordinary piece "PC 49". "Through The Dawn", it is characterized by the presence of acoustic airs that serve from preamble to the following topic " Rise ", which is elaborated keeping in mind the potential thrash / death of the quintet, with the rhythmic base formed by Hugo Rodríguez and Charly Casas mashing their instruments intensely to crawl on a slow and rhythmic end. Making show of their potent voice, this time Ely tore us with some brilliant refrains in “Carnage", where we can also appreciate the potent riffs of the guitars. Although along the whole piece certain resemblances are appreciated to classic as METALLICA, the certain thing is that it is in topics as “Time To Die" - he/she fears that he/she closes the CD - these are more palpable, especially for that rough sound and I dry off of the guitars, and for their complex and changing structure that transform the piece into the most varied and ambitious in this whole premiere. Without place to doubts DEATH & LEGACY has marked an incredibly satisfactory premiere, presenting us nine potent compositions with a visible orientation that surpasses the frontiers and that they tinge for its amenity, its forcefulness and its melody, but also for a truly brilliant production. Review of the first CD of RABIA PÉREZ Artist: Rabia Pérez. CD: Rabia Pérez. Pérez rages it is the album premiere of the band from Madrid of the same name, guided by the vocalist also called Rabia Pérez that began in 2011 this new project after a musical trajectory begun in 1997 that after four years of work his effort is compensated. With the technical limitations characteristic of a work produced car, Pérez Rages it proposes us a journey for the profiles of the hard rock and the heavy metal, having as main character to the vocalist, main composer of the letters and music and, consequently, very present in all and each one of the songs. To their side, the guitarist Gabriel Rock who position of the production has also been made, is the other key piece of the engagement he gives the band that is completed with Sergio (battery), Victor Moreno (bass) and Jorge Baeza (guitar). Review of the CD “Incandescente” of Boni By David Mariezkurrena It Incandescente a double album, care until the last detail in their design and presentation, with a first delivery formed by eleven topics in electric format, to those that eight more compositions are added with a more relaxed musical treatment, near to the acoustic one but with a great variety and freedom of arrangements. The disk opens up with an authentic declaration of intentions. The passion to devour rock and roll of «Test me», the warring ardor of Boni in «Incandescent»,, their energetic nature in «Explosive», where their guitar shines with a radiant shine, and its attitude toward the rock and rebellious in " «Desakato»,, they are an entire vital manifesto of who is not afraid to throw the blanket to the head, to break up with the past and to rush without net to continue offering devastating moments in the path of the music. And because also in the philosophy of their rock it has been always present the accusation, Boni uses its songs like speaker equally against practical with those that it doesn't agree. «Blade» clamor against the imposed frontiers and the violent methods to defend them; «For before» it draws us with their overwhelming battery the heavy machinery of the fracking and with their jive the insolent one of those who play with the future of all us, and « Chronicle of Iguala» it is the story of a news that should have been produced never, the death of 43 students at the hands of the mafias in Mexico. The different feelings of the life also have their space in this first part with topics like « With you a secret », «Sinister» or « Isolated », but where Boni really shows it’s more intimate side it is in the acoustic block of Incandescente. Their torn voice, very weather beaten with the step of the years, he sings their dear beings; to the nearest, like it is the case of the attractive titled topic « The forgetfulness », or to those that stayed in the road, like « From above ». With that color different from this second part, the author doesn't forget the «Real Street» that steps, with social topics as «The hideout», where it denounces the drama of the ousters, or as passionate as «Sua» (‘Fire’), giving voice to a poem of Jasone Osoro. The farewell that Francisco. Javier Hernández offers us it is a reinterpretation of a topic that it composed for Barricade, «Close your eyes», but in this occasion leaving you to take in an intoxicant way for the keys of a piano. The final result of all this is a burning work, of a great quality, son of a long musical experience, but interpreted with the desires of who is beginning. In this new disk Boni offers us in an explosive way, like in essence it is him, the reflection of its feeling toward the music and the life, and whose shock wave. Seeks him to arrive to the maximum possible of people. An overwhelming dose of energy that is appreciated in these times that it has played us to live.


Died Glenn Frey, one of the founders of the rock band The Eagles The American musician, 67 years old, one of the founders of that rock band, famous for successes like “Hotel California�, died the past January 19 in the city of New York.

A message of several relatives and colleagues diffused through the place of internet of the group informed that Frey died after fighting a brave it battles in the last weeks with their problems of health.
