About 100 people will descend on the MarketFrankford line Sunday afternoon, bundled in winter gear, but missing one thing — pants. It’s local comedy group Urban Playground’s third annual No Pants Subway Ride, a title that explains the premise. Inspired by New York City’s Improv Everywhere, which started the event 11 years ago, the concept is part comedy, part performance. “You can totally see the hilarity in the situation, but it definitely has some performance art in it because everyone plays their own little part,” said this year’s coordinator Emily Prohorchuck, taking the reins from founder Ari Melman. “It’s nice to show people can band together for good things, not just

Aside from its humor, participants in the event, now held in 50-plus cities across the world, cite many reasons for riding pantsless — from the unity forged to a good time. “It’s fun for people to get together with their friends and do this crazy thing, rather than just going out to a movie or to a bar,” said Improv Everywhere Producer Matt Adams. After disaster in Pa., Rick refined his game The new Huckabee? Most Pennsylvania political consultants doubt Santorum can win the nomination. “He is the Mike Huckabee of 2012,” said Neal Oxman, who steered Rendell to his first mayoral victory. “He was the last man standing, the guy brought in at the ninth inning. Tim Pawlenty or Mitch Daniels would have won if they had lasted as long.” Oxman also noted that Santorum has failed to get on the ballet in both Virginia and Tennessee. METRO
Santorum’s strong Iowa showing completes a turnaround many believed impossible Observers say he learned from loss and worked hard in comeback
After suffering an ignoble 18-point loss to Bob Casey Jr. in his U.S. Senate reelection bid, many believed Santorum’s political career was finished. But the far right conservative who represented Pennsylvania in Congress for 14 years has already proven conventional wisdom wrong. Like Richard Nixon before him, Santorum rose from the ashes of defeat and practically tied Mitt Romney in the Iowa caucuses Tuesday. Quinnapiac College professor Terry Madonna, founder of the Keystone Poll, dismissed any similarities between 2006 and the current race for the GOP presidential nomination. “In 2006, Santorum ran ... in a year when it was bad to be a Bush Republican,” he said, adding that Santorum seems to have learned much in defeat. “Santorum is more refined, mild-mannered,” said Madonna. “During the 2006 race, he was more hyperbolic and outspoken.” LAURA GOLDMAN

Iowa contest throws wrench in GOP race The man to beat The Iowa result boosted Romney’s status as the person to beat in the nomination race, although the slim margin underscored his continuing in ability to secure the trust of conservative Republicans ahead of what is likely to be the most expensive presidential campaign in history. Known as a moderate when he was governor of predominantly Democratic Massachusetts seven years ago, Romney had not been expected to do well in Iowa, a midwestern state where conservative Christian voters are a major influence on Republican politics.

Bachmann stepped down after a dismal sixthplace finish in the Iowa caucuses contest, which was decided by a difference of only eight votes out of the 122,000 cast. Former Massachusetts Gov. Despite vowing on Tuesday night to stay the course in the fight to be the Republican nominee, Bachmann finally threw in the towel. “I have decided to stand aside,” said Bachmann, a conservative congresswoman and one-time front-runner. Camille Escobedo’s artistic beginnings were decidedly prim and proper: She moved to Philadelphia from Arlington, Texas 17 years ago to study vocal performance at the University of the Arts. ‘Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol’ Tom Cruise may be deep into his 40s, but that hasn’t stopped the impeccably fit actor from performing most of his own stunts in the fourth installment of this series. With a bombing of the Kremlin incorrectly blamed on his team, Ethan Hunt (Cruise) and his colleagues are forced to go underground to prove their innocence. “Instead of sticking strictly to what you know you like, be open to someone new and different and give yourself a chance to discover if, in fact, you might find something attractive or appealing in a person you previously would never have given a chance.” GREER give you is to think outside the box. Drop your preconceived notions and go out there with a completely open mind. Everyone typically has their “type” — whether it is tall, short, brown or blond hair, conservative or free-spirited — and thus instantly screens out people who they think aren’t it. Instead of sticking strictly to what you know you like, be open to someone new and different and give yourself a chance to discover if, in fact, you might find something attractive or appealing in a person you previously would never have given a chance. You might even discover that you like a different “type” more. By increasing your options you will greatly increase your odds. While doing that, look for and gravitate toward the positive energy — a nice smile, those who
show they’re interested by asking questions about you, considerate behavior — rather than focusing on appearance alone. And at least as important, keep a smile on your face. That’s a green light to starting up a conversation wherever you are — on the train, in a store, at a party. All it takes for chemistry to happen is for two people to simply click, which can begin with a few words. Take the initiative and ask questions. Show interest — and see if it is returned. — Relationship expert Dr. Jane Greer is the creator of “Shrink Wrap” – national commentary on what we can learn from celebrity relationships – and host of “Let’s Talk Sex” at Healthylife.net. Why is Tom’s Wife Smiling?
And the simple trick he used to help him perform like a 20 year old! Without drugs, pumps, or embarrassing doctor visits. By, Stefan Rothler; Freelance Health Writer; If you’re like Tom, you know how frustrating it is when you can’t “Stand Up” for yourself. Especially in the bedroom! And even though your wife tells you “its okay”— she secretly wishes you weren’t such “a softy”. For your sake and hers.
Tom’s Story: Tom M. had a big problem. His love-life was “coming up short”. And like a lot of men his age, he had a tough time “performing” in the bedroom. But Tom’s wife was kind. She reassured him with words like “it’s no big deal”--- but it really was. So she urged him to get some help. He took her advice… Tom searched the web for answers, and came up with nothing but scams. Everything he tried failed. He thought about asking his doctor about that well-known “little blue pill”. But it was way too expensive (as much as $30.00 per tablet). Plus, it doesn’t work for 32% of all men who try it. And according to its warning labels you could wind up deaf, blind, or even dead! It’s just not worth the risk.
The Secret of the Adult Film Industry And by age 60, you’re left with a fraction of the HGH you used to have. The signs of aging become impossible to ignore... narrower shoulders and more weight around the middle... thinner skin that loses elasticity... creases and wrinkles... aching joints and brittle bones... all signs that your body is gradually breaking down. Add to that, decreased desire and ability and a loss of muscle tone that leads to a dangerous loss of agility and balance. But none of this has to happen...
Secret of The Rich and Famous As Tom continued his research, he came across something unusual. He read that male actors in the adult film industry use something called “Herbal Virility”. Before filming, the actors would pop one of these tiny pills in their mouth--- so when the director yells “action”- there’s always plenty of it! It’s been the secret of adult film producers for years! That’s because instead of taking a full-hour for it to work, Herbal Virility starts giving you “solid, long-lasting results” almost immediately after you take it --- no waiting! Tom was excited to try it. After all, Herbal Virility helped thousands of men get back their confidence in the bedroom. And since its all-natural Herbal Virility is a lot safer than drugs. There are no pumps to hassle with, no embarrassing doctor visits needed and it’s surprisingly affordable. Plus, it’s based on Nobel prize-winning research...
Here’s How It Works: In 1998, three scientists shared a Nobel Prize for discovering that the chemical compound nitric oxide (or NO) plays a vital role in widening your blood vessels so blood flows more freely... especially in the “intimate areas” of your body. When you’re young, nitric oxide flows abundantly through your body. Unfortunately, as you grow older, your NO production starts to diminish. As a result, so does your love life. That’s why Herbal Virility is so important. Just pop a Herbal Virility into your mouth. Its proprietary formulation has no bitter taste and dissolves quickly into your bloodstream.
Herbal Virility contains all 25 of the most potent natural male enhancement boosters on earth. It helps kick-start your body’s natural ability to produce nitric oxide on its own. So you’re ready for action when you want it --- and as often as you want it. You’ll get a “big boost” of confidence in the bedroom. And your wife will be so excited she may wake up the neighbors!
Rave Reviews Coming in Everyday Most men, who experience Herbal Virility’s firm results, can’t get enough of it. Here’s what people are saying... W. Pritchett II of Newport News, VA, tells us; “After I turned 52, I couldn’t get it to work. I thought my fun was over. But now, thanks to Herbal Virility I can heat things up in the bedroom anytime I want to.” Please send me another 6 month supply!” Melissa M. of Key Largo, FL reports; “Herbal Virility saved our marriage! What a difference it made in my husband. He’s like a new man! All I can say is WOW!”.
Not Available in Stores The demand for Herbal Virility has been overwhelming. And until now, there just wasn’t enough of it to go around. That’s why the makers of Herbal Virility are limiting its supply to newspaper and magazine readers only. Herbal Virility is amazing. Men who try it can’t seem to get enough. But to really understand why, you have to try it for yourself. That’s why the makers of Herbal Virility asked us to “spread the word” by offering our readers a full-month supply, at a super-discounted, “readers only” price.
Try Herbal Virility Risk-Free... Plus a 1 Year, Money-Back Guarantee See for yourself. You have a whole year to decide. Here’s our guarantee; “If Herbal Virility doesn’t give you back your desire, your stamina --- and get you “interested” whenever you need it --- you won’t have to pay a dime. You have a full year to make up your mind. Either you’re absolutely thrilled with Herbal Virility… or you get back every red cent!

We played ball, now sitting out Over the decades, workers have been told that in order for our companies to compete internationally, we have to contribute to their profitability. In our cooperation, we have lost cost-of-living adjustments, union membership, nonparticipatory health care and pensions, fair and consistent raises and other benefits. Now our “job creators” need more concessions; those at the top have become immensely enriched, and the average worker has fallen further behind.

According to the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center, the reasons for the 47 percent of households that don’t pay taxes are deductions and poverty. If you
really put the screws to those people, you might get a few million in taxes out of grandma and her grandson in college. Some of the deductions stem from the Bush tax cuts, which you probably blame Obama for. I wonder which direction your head spins when you hear that we will no longer be throwing roughly $7 billion per month at Iraq now that Obama held to the date that the Bush administration set for bringing the troops home.

Temple upsets No. 3 Duke 78-73 at Wells Fargo Hollis-Jefferson, Wyatt lead way as Owls defeat Blue Devils for first time since 1996
How long has it been since Temple ousted perennial powerhouse Duke? Keep in mind that the arena no longer exists. For the first time since Jan. 25, 1996 — when the Owls eked past the Blue Devils 59-58 at the now-defunct Spectrum — they did it again across the street last night at the raucous Wells Fargo Center. Temple 78, Duke 73. “I don’t think it’s hit me yet,” said Temple guard Ramone Moore, who had nine points. “It’s a great win.” The Owls had lost nine straight since that last victory in ’96, including a 17point defeat last season at Cameron Indoor Stadium. It was a completely different scenario this time around. Khalif Wyatt paced the Owls (10-3) with 22 points, one of five players in double figures. Consecutive three-pointers by Wyatt late in the game gave the Owls a 66-57 lead. And it got the sellout crowd of 20,420 — the third-largest college basketball crowd in the history of the Wells Fargo Center — behind Temple while drowning out the Duke supporters. “My teammates trusted me,” Wyatt said. “I just tried to come through for

them.” For the fourth straight year, Temple has knocked off a Top 10 team. Yet this one might be the most enjoyable, especially playing without center Micheal Eric and forward Scootie Randall. Duke fell to 12-2 with its only loss coming against Ohio State. This Duke team is ultra-talented but young. The Owls shot 56-percent from the field and played tough defense. It was that simple. “It feels really great,” Wyatt said. “It’s an unbelievable feeling. Coach [Fran Dunphy] said to enjoy it and we will. Then he said, ‘Get ready for Dayton.’ We’ll enjoy this now and come back to work for the next one.”

The Owls trio of Ramone Moore (10), Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson (32) and Khalif Wyatt combined for 48 points. Temple shot 56.4 percent from the floor.
Not be outdone, La Salle knocked off A-10 power Xavier 80-70 last night at Tom Gola Arena. Senior Earl Pettis paved the way for the Explorers (11-4) with a seasonhigh 23 points. METRO
Credit Card Debt?
Solutions that can help you get out of debt. Tom Hill CGA STAFF WRITER
Every three minutes another person falls behind on credit card debt. It’s no wonder, since every major credit card company has nearly doubled the minimum monthly payment on consumers’ bills. Federal Regulators forced the change because of their concern about the growing mountain of consumer debt, which stands at $2.17 trillion. Many consumers can only pay the minimum payment, which can take up to 30 years to pay off. Now, relief is in sight for millions of Americans. CreditGUARD of America, a non-profit licensed debt management service provider, is making a new program available to lower debt payments and become free of all credit card debt in only three to five years. Consumers need only $2,000 or more in total credit card debt and behind on any account, to cut their payment by 35% to 50%, and reduce or eliminate interest charges altogether. Over 200,000 families, located throughout the U.S. have regained financial independence with CreditGUARD’s licensed, bonded and insured service. CreditGUARD of America has received high marks in consumer surveys showing high consumer satisfaction and confidence. The CreditGUARD debt management program can actually turn a person’s life around. One such case is Sandra L. who proclaimed “CreditGUARD cut my monthly payment by $656 and saved me over $29,206.53 in interest. They saved my way of life and gave me back my piece of mind! Top NBA pickups Early-season adds can pay big dividends for the rest of the season:
1
2
Brandon Rush, SF, GSW — Dorell Wright is already on thin ice as the starter. Rush has more raw talent, he was just under-utilized in Indiana. Marreese Speights, PF, MEM — Speights certainly has the offensive skills to excel while Zach
Randolph (knee) is out. We’ll see if his defense is strong enough to keep him on the floor.
3
Gary Neal, SG, SA — Manu Ginobili is out at least six weeks after undergoing surgery on his shooting hand. The Spurs now desperately need Neal’s long-range shooting ability on the floor.

TARGETING THE 2011 TALENTS Even at the NFL level, certain guys jump off the game tape as freaks. They are the playmakers, the difference-makers, the elite talents.
I
n fantasy, these are the players we need to take note of. Their coaches force-feed them the ball and when they get it, they do things that other mere mortals are incapable of.
Making it rain If it wasn’t for Rob Gronkowski and Jimmy Graham, we’d be talking about Aaron Hernandez as the biggest freak at the tight end position. His skill set is so unique that the Patriots call reverses and bubble screens for him. That’s because in the open field, Hernandez makes defenders miss like a wideout.
Here are some guys that emerged as truly different players in 2011:
Julio at the schoolyard Julio Jones ran a ridiculous 4.39, 40-yard
dash at the NFL combine and has ideal size at 6-foot-3/220 pounds. In his rookie year, he proved that he knows how to use those measurements. Jones is already a better receiver than teammate Roddy White, dominating defenses with his physicality.
Moore for Denarius The ability to go deep at the NFL level is an art form. Denarius Moore showed that he’s close to mastering it already. His ability to adjust on long balls and make extremely tough catches is something that can’t be taught.
Julio Jones has the ability to be a Top 5 NFL wideout.

Speights traded to Memphis Marreese Speights checked out of town a year ago. Yesterday, the Sixers made his departure official. Speights, who fell into coach Doug Collins’ doghouse at the beginning of last season, was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies as part of a three-team trade that netted the Sixers two second-round picks. The move clears a reported $1.7 million in cap space. Speights’ horrific basketball IQ and lack of commitment to defense kept him pinned to the bench this year despite the Sixers’ thin frontcourt. It probably won’t be a warm greeting as the Flyers welcome Chicago back to town tonight for the first time since losing Game 6 of the 2010 Stanley Cup Finals. That 4-3 overtime loss allowed the Blackhawks to celebrate on the Flyers’ home ice. “I remember the next

day waking up and there was no meeting, no media scrum, no fans, nobody waiting for you anywhere and it was a very, very empty feeling,” Danny Briere told reporters. This year, Chicago leads the Western Conference with 52 points, which is tied for tops in the NHL with the Rangers. The Flyers’ 48 points rank seventh in the league and fourth in the East.
Briere has 10 goals and 15 assists (25 points) this season.
