Road rage ends in arrest An Allentown man was charged yesterday with allegedly impersonating a police officer and pulling over a woman last month for driving too slow, according to a report from The Morning Call. Police said Luis Collazo-Figueroa, 24, became upset with a female motorist because she did not drive quickly enough out of a McDonald’s parking lot at 7 p.m. on July 28.

He allegedly yelled at her and the two argued.

About two blocks away, he pulled out a blue emergency light and placed it on the top of his Ford Crown Victoria, which looks like an older model police vehicle, according to investigators.

The woman reportedly said Figueroa pretended to talk to someone on a walkie-talkie and told her, "I work for the police." But when she told him she was dialing 911, he allegedly fled.

A 30-year-old woman who fell onto the tracks at a SEPTA subway station early yesterday morning before being hit by a train got in because the station was unlocked, SEPTA officials said.

The woman, whose name was not released, entered the Lombard-South station around 2:15 a.m., surveillance video shows, SEPTA spokeswoman Jerri Williams said. The woman fell onto the third rail and laid there for hours until being hit by a train around 5 a.m. An autopsy yesterday confirmed that she was electrocuted, Williams said.

Although SEPTA did not release the video out of compassion for the woman’s family, a Metro reporter viewed the footage, which shows the woman, who appeared to be under the influence, on the platform for about four minutes. On the video, the woman sits down on a bench and rocks back slightly before standing up and walking to a concrete pillar. The woman rubs on the pillar for about a minute before taking two steps and falling sharply off the platform.

“I just can’t believe it,” 93year-old Viviette Applewhite of Germantown, one of the plaintiffs named in the petition, said in a statement. “Too many people have fought for the right to vote to have it taken away like this. All I want is to be able to vote this November like I always have. This law is just ridiculous.”

The petition was brought to court by a coalition of civil rights groups who argued the law, Act 18, would disproportionately burden low-income citizens and the elderly and posed an unconstitutional, partisan-driven attempt at restricting the rights of those demographics to vote.

Commonwealth Court Judge Robert Simpson found that the inconvenience of gathering the required documents and trekking to PennDOT is not substantial for “the vast supermajority of registered voters,” nor is it restrictive enough to pose a constitutional violation.

Sandusky reportedly working on autobiography in prison It appears that convicted pedophile Jerry Sandusky has found to pass the time in jail as he awaits sentencing.

A television station outside Pittsburgh, WJAC-TV in Johnstown, first reported Tuesday that Sandusky is writing his second book with the help of his wife Dottie. The former Penn State coach authored “Touched: The Jerry Sandusky Story” in 2001.

The report, citing unnamed sources, says that Sandusky is writing his version of the events that rocked Penn State University and led to the firing of several officials, including coach Joe Paterno. Jerry San-

dusky and his wife were reportedly corresponding so much on the book that Dottie had her correspondence privileges revoked.

It is unclear how the book will be published or what it will be titled. As the report points out, Sandusky could not profit off the book because convicted felons are prohibited from profiting for writing about their crimes. Any potential proceeds to Dottie Sandusky could, however, help defer legal expenses.

Sandusky is scheduled to be sentenced in September. Last week, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service said it was investigating whether Sandusky shared child pornography with others, although Sandusky’s lawyer denied the claims.

The bondage scene: It’s now more than mommy porn fodder After the sensational story of a hot-blooded breakup between a young Manhattan sex slave and her high-powered CEO master — coupled with the popularity of “Fifty Shades of Grey” — curiosity is on the upswing about New York City’s underground fetish world.

And it’s prompting those who live it to speak out.

The city plays host to dozens of sex clubs, both public and private, visited by thousands of people looking to quench their sexual desires. Though the mainstream perception of BDSM (bondage, dominance, sadism, masochism) and S&M (sadomasochism) is a sexual free-for-all, those who practice it say a relationship formed within these communities is just like any other.

“People fail to realize that BDSM is just a microcosm of the population as a whole,” Guy Sanders, spokesperson for The Eulenspiegel Society, a BDSM education and support group, told Metro. “It’s kind of like how being gay was years ago. Because people have formulated their own opinions about you and what you are, it’s not prudent to allow your sexual history to come out.”

And many more Americans have engaged in some type of BDSM sex play than one may realize: According to the 1993 Janus Report on Sexual Behavior, 14 percent of men and 11 percent of women in the U.S.

Bondage breakup in the spotlight In a real-life “Fifty Shades of Grey” scenario, Frankie Santiago, 27, submitted to daily whippings from her 53-year-old lover, Edward Sonderling.

That is, until Santiago discovered that Sonderling had recruited a new apprentice to replace her and, in response, sent him more than 40 text messages over a 12-day period. She was arrested Monday and charged with stalking, according to the Post.

The fetish sex scene is very much alive and well.

BDSM-based relationships are not immune to jealousy or messy breakups, but bondage community members say they hope the media attention to this case will combat stigma.

But don’t expect those involved in such relationships to be very forthcoming about it.

The stigma that surrounds alternative sexuality makes many of those who practice it keep it under wraps.

“One in three people who are kinky are persecuted. That could be losing a job or losing child custody to having troubles with your family,” Susan Wright from the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom said.

And she applauds books like the “Fifty Shades” for making bondage sex more accepted — or at least, easier to experiment. “[Fifty Shades] has been wonderful publicity for the BDSM community,” Wright said. “I’m hoping ... that it will become tolerated that people have kinky elements to their sexual relationships.”

BDSM and S&M relationships can be monogamous or polyamorous, meaning couples either swing together or both partners share other lovers. And insiders said plenty of solid relationships and marriages exist among community members.

“It’s not all whips and chains and sleeping around,” Sanders said, “There is a love and commitment in these relationships.”

CB: I think that Incubus and Linkin Park share a lot of similarities in terms of when we became popular, in a time when selling tons of records was what people did, and the Internet wasn’t really a strong force in the world. And then transitioning into a time where no one’s buying records, and yet people are spending more money on music than any time before. Going through all that and getting older definitely shapes the way you think about business. But the things that inspire me are all the same kinds of things that inspired me when I was 15.

As you each grow older, how do you connect to the style of music that is very rooted in a much younger you?

BB: Actually, it’s been a real struggle. Being so identified with a particular style and a particular time ... certain music reviewers will literally have not looked beyond Incubus’ very first album, “S.C.I.E.N.C.E,� which we wrote and recorded when we were just freshly out of high school. It came out in 1997. ...

The result is a website that helps the dumped compose what Melnik describes as a “nonchalant, not clingy� e-mail that politely asks the one who did the dumping for full disclosure. “The tone that I wanted to set pretty much throughout all of it is: ‘I’m not trying to get back together with you; I just want to know so I can not make that mistake in the future and improve the next time,’� Melnik explains.

When Josh Harris bought the Sixers, everyone told him Philadelphia wasn’t a basketball town. Anyone that attended yesterday’s surreal Andrew Bynum press conference would beg to differ.

As Bynum strolled into the National Constitution Center, the atmosphere ranged somewhere between high school pep rally and Beatlemania. The Sixers’ dance squad and Flight Team were there. Fans chanted “An-Drew By-Num” and “Beat L.A.” All that was missing was teenage girls crying at the mere sight of the 7-foot Sixers’ savior.

Even Bynum, who has spent the last seven years doing some wild things in Los Angeles, seemed stunned by his reception.

“I actually have never seen anything like this,” he said. “It makes me super excited. Hopefully they can match my energy and keep me going.”

Bynum’s health not a concern; owner could empty bank Andrew Bynum has been a Sixer for less than a week. He already feels like he’s home.

Bynum, who is entering the final year of his contract, faced questions yesterday about his plans for the future.

“To be honest, man, my first experience here has been so great I’m really leaning toward making this my home,” Bynum said, inciting deafening cheers from the fans.

Prior to last season, Bynum was a knee injury waiting to happen. Between 2007-08 and 2010-11, he missed 31 games per season while undergoing separate surgeries on each knee. It wasn’t until last season that he finally sustained health for a full season.

But that didn’t stop owner Josh Harris from jokingly asking Bynum, “Where do I sign?” Team trainer Kevin Johnson took Bynum for Xrays and an MRI Tuesday, and he gave the 7-footer a clean bill of health. In fact, they appear happy that Bynum will head to Germany in early September to undergo a non-invasive procedure called Or-

thokine/Regenokine. It involves blood-spinning procedures and produced spectacular results last season for Bynum’s former Lakers teammate, Kobe Bryant.
