Rotenberg’s shock therapy is at center of FDA inquiry Canton. Authorities are considering whether to ban the therapy used at the special needs school. Food and Drug Administration officials on Monday spoke about the agency’s potential ban on shock therapy devices like the ones used at a special needs school in Canton. The Judge Rotenberg Center is believed to be the only facility in the country that uses an aversive conditioning device
that delivers cutaneous electrical shocks intended to address self injurious behavior, according to the FDA. “The FDA’s primary concern as it considers the use of these devices is the safety and well being of patients receiving the treatment,” said FDA spokesman Jeff Ventura. The center’s use of shock therapy has caused controversy in recent years, with some critics saying it is tantamount to torture, while parents of some of the center’s residents have said it is the only thing that works for some who have severe developmental disorders. In order to ban a device, the

FDA must make a finding that a device presents substantial deception or an unreasonable and substantial risk of illness or injury “based on all available data and information.” In April, it convened the
Neurological Devices Panel of the Medical Devices Advisory Committee. The idea was to seek expert clinical and scientific opinions and public comment on the appropriateness of the devices’ continued use. The panel, however, did not take a formal vote. The panelists were, according to the FDA, asked to comment on scientific issues that will inform whether these devices should be banned. “The FDA’s understanding of the risks and benefits of these devices has changed since they first came into use more than 30 years ago, leading us to re-examine whether they should continue to be used,”
said Ventura. Recent reports from New York state and hearings by the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services raised concerns about the use of these devices, such as a lack of evidence for monitoring potential adverse physical and psychological effects to patients, according to the FDA. The FDA is also troubled by the risks posed by use of unapproved electric shock devices. The center did not respond to requests for comment. DANNY MCDONALD @DMacCash daniel.mcdonald@metro.us

Cambridge looks to expand on truck side guards The Cambridge City Council on Monday night was expected to hear from pedestrian and cycling safety advocates who want more protective “side guards” on city-owned trucks. City Councillor Dennis Carlone introduced a policy order
in the hopes that the side guards, which protect people from being pulled under the wheels of large trucks during a collision, will be considered “more broadly across all city trucks.” Boston Mayor Marty Walsh has filed a similar ordinance that would require large, cityowned or contracted trucks to be outfitted with the protective guards. Massachusetts State Police have released a video seeking information that could help solve a two-decade-old murder. Susan Taraskiewicz was found in the trunk of her car on Sept. 14, 1992, outside an auto body shop on Route 1A in Revere. Her murder has yet to be solved. She had worked for Northwest Airlines at Boston Logan International Airport and had left to get sandwiches for her co-workers, according to police. Garden of Peace
Names to be added to homicide memorial The names of 40 homicide victims will be added to the Garden of Peace on Thursday at a ceremony that will feature remarks from a former gang member whose brother was killed during a shootout with police. The names will bring the total number of murder victims memorialized on the plaza to close to 1,000 since the garden was dedicated in 2004. SHNS
The 27-year-old didn’t return to work or her family’s home in Saugus. She was found the next morning. At that time, police say, a group of Northwest employees, not Taraskiewicz, had been part of a credit card theft ring and Taraskiewicz had been the subject of persistent sexual harassment by her male coworkers. In the eight-minute YouTube video uploaded Sunday, Taraskiewicz’s mother, Marlene, pleads for information pertaining to the homicide. “She would be so angry and upset knowing this has destroyed her family — that somebody taking her life had destroyed her family.” DANNY MCDONALD @DMacCash daniel.mcdonald@metro.us

Titled “Seven Moon Junction,” the new 70-by-76-foot mural by artist Shinique Smith features vibrant shades of yellow, red and magenta. “This particular work draws inspiration from various sources such as alchemy, astrology, music and the mythology and art of indigenous cultures,” said Smith. “By taking a small aspect of this existing work and enlarging it to the scale of 70 feet, this microcosm of materials is seen and experienced from a new perspective, becoming a distinct new presentation.” The Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy commissioned Smith to create the mural in conjunction with her current exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts. Keys to long-term financial success I’ve made millions in the stock market, written the best-selling book, “An American Hedge Fund,” used the money to travel all over the world, and now my top student just passed $2 million in profits. successful, be prepared to study and work harder than you ever thought possible. You can’t just go the normal route and expect to get ahead. Do what you love, even if it’s weird. Some of the most successful people I know think way outside the box, but because of their determination and work ethic, they’ve made it.
Tip No. 1: Study and work hard
Tip No. 2: Embrace failure and learn from it
Some people find success through sheer luck with little work or effort, but the odds of that happening are very slim. To increase your odds of being

people get discouraged and let one or two failures stop them or slow them down. In the past, I’ve lost hundreds of thousands of dollars in the stock market when I broke my trading rules and I was ridiculed by the press and my industry and became very depressed. You won’t be seeing Tom Hardy in another rom-com anytime soon, and you can blame Reese Witherspoon for that. “I probably won’t do a romantic comedy again, do you know what I mean?” Hardy, who starred with Witherspoon and Chris Pine in “This Means War” in 2012, tells USA Today. “I love to do things I hadn’t done before. Robin Thicke blurs lines even further
When it suits him, Thicke claims he had a part in writing “Blurred Lines,” but when it doesn’t, he’ll throw Pharrell under the bus.
Yes, we’ve made that pun we just made in the headline a few times before, like how Robin Thicke blurred the lines of what being faithful in a marriage meant, but this time there’s just no way around it. The singer, whose 2013 hit “Blurred Lines” sparked controversy for many reasons
(date rapey lyrics, sexist video, rip-off of a Marvin Gaye song), has added a new controversy to further sully the song’s reputation. It turns out that he didn’t even have a hand in writing it! In court deposition documents obtained by the Hollywood Reporter (for that aforementioned Marvin Gaye
rip-off lawsuit) Thicke said, “I was high on vicodin and alcohol when I showed up at the studio. So my recollection is when we made the song, I thought I wanted — I — I wanted to be more involved than I actually was by the time, nine months later, it became a huge hit and I wanted
credit. So I started kind of convincing myself that I was a little more part of it than I was. … But the reality is, is that Pharrell had the beat and he wrote almost every single part of the song.” So yeah, blurred lines of authorship due to blurred senses from booze and pills. PAT HEALY

Speaking French with Kevin Kline Interview. The Oscar-winner finally gets to share a screen with Maggie Smith in “My Old Lady.” “My Old Lady” is not Kevin Kline’s first French film (though it’s mostly in English). In “Queen to Play,” he spoke the language fluently. (And of course, he played a stereotypical French pseudostud in “French Kiss.”) But in “My Old Lady,” adapted by Israel Horovitz from his play, he’s an American who mangles his limited knowledge of the language, playing a malcontent displeased that his late father’s Parisian apartment is unexpectedly populated by an old tenant (Maggie Smith) and her daughter (Kristin Scott Thomas). Was your experience with French films or playing French how you got involved
with this? I was sent the play by a very nice, misguided French producer, because he thought I could speak French well enough that I could do it in French. I begged to differ. Years went by and I was in Paris. It was the weirdest thing. I was doing press on “Queen to Play,” and I’m with friends at the Cafe de Flore, where Sartre invented existentialism. I go upstairs to the men’s room and I see Israel and a couple other people. Israel said, “You know, we were just talking about you.” They were talking about who should play the lead in the film and someone said, “Kevin Kline.” And then I just appeared. Israel thought it was staged.

Bostonbased Sons of Serendip have made it to the final six contestants on “America’s Got Talent.” It’s been a long and difficult road, but the Sons of Serendip have made it to the final round on NBC’s summer talent show, “America’s Got Talent.” Lead vocalist Micah Christian is from Randolph, Massachusetts, and was responsible for forming the group, a quartet featuring a harpist, a pianist and a cellist. We checked in with them ahead of their final performance to see what their plans for the future are and how they think the group can win. How would you describe the atmosphere back stage as you head toward the final round? The contestants are all working very hard and at times are feeling the pressure because it’s the finale, but everyone is still very positive and excited about the upcoming show.
While we would enjoy it if the “New Girl” writers named Jessica Biel’s character “Jess” as well, it appears they’ve gone with the safer choice of “Kat.” / RAY MICKSHAW, FOX

What do you think the group has that helped it advance this far in the competition? We think that we made it this far because we are unique. Our sound is different because of the instruments that we

play and the arrangements that we create. What will it take to win? Because all of the other contestants are so talented, and there are many musical acts, a lot of it will come down to song choice and making sure that we give the best performance that we can. The rest will be up to America. What made the group decide to compete in the first place? Micah had the idea when he heard about “America’s Got Talent” auditions. He had always
wanted to work with [group members] Cordaro, Kendall, and Mason, and he saw this as a great opportunity to see what they would be capable of as a group. What does the future hold for the band? That is something that we are going to figure out step by step, but we plan to stay together in hopes to build a career in music. LISA WEIDENFELD @LisaWeidenfeld lisa.weidenfeld@metro.us

Young adult. British TV personality Dawn O’Porter has a lot in common with the characters in her new young adult novel, “Paper Airplanes.” British TV personality and journalist Dawn O’Porter might be 35 and expecting her first child, but she admits she often still acts like a teenager. “I did this program for TLC last year in the U.K. where I’d spy on teenagers with their parents,” she says. “The parents would say they were going away for the weekend, and then we would spy on them. The whole time, I wanted to say, ‘Just let them have a messy room and sleep in! That’s what we do!’ And I realized I was saying that as one of them.” Out this month is O’Porter’s new young adult novel, a story of two unlikely best friends that’s so right on that it’s generating a lot of pre-release buzz. The book is about two high schoolers, Flo and Renee. Flo is the timid one, not brave enough to stand up to her Regina George-esque frenemy. She also has quite serious problems at home. Renee is the classic boy-obsessed party girl. After her mother dies, she and her younger sister move in with their stoic grandparents. When Flo’s father dies, the two form

an unlikely bond. “You go through so much when you’re a teen, but you don’t have the emotional capacity that you do when you’re an adult,” O’Porter says. Her book realistically addresses traumas that are a big deal to teens, of course, but also how the little things, such as boys and embarrassing moments, are a big
deal, too. Much of Renee’s character was taken from O’Porter’s own life. Like the character, she lost her mother when she was 7 and was sent to live with her grandparents. Her own teen diaries were a big resource for the book. “[My diary] was full of stories about boys. It was like, ‘So-and-so was mean to me, I was mean to so-and-so, everyone hates me, I hate everyone, I love boys,’” she says. “I smoked my first joint. I got really drunk for the first time. It was all so basic, but it reminded me how overwhelming everything felt because you don’t have experience under your belt to put it all in perspective.” O’Porter and her husband, actor Chris O’Dowd (“Bridesmaids,” “Girls”) recently announced they are expecting a child of their own by posting a video of O’Dowd doing the ice-bucket challenge and then nominating “baby O’Porter,” followed by his wife dumping a glass of water on her pregnant belly. Even with babies on the brain, O’Porter says the book hasn’t changed her views of parenthood. “I’m so many years away from even dealing with a teenager that it’s not on my radar,” she says. “Fundamentally I’m still a teenager, but obviously that’s about to change.” EMILY LAURENCE @EmLaurence emily.laurence@metro.us

Consumers rush to get free TV after Supreme Court ruling U.S. households to get free TV with slick little micro antenna device engineered to pull in all over-the-air TV channels for free as law forces network giants to broadcast all TV signals regionally to all 50 states Free TV: Crystal clear HDTV picture with no cable, no satellite or internet connection and no monthly bills NATION WIDE - Consumers just got handed a really good reason to get rid of cable and satellite bills. Everyone fed up with high cable and satellite bills, huge channel bundles and poor customer service are now flocking to get a slick little micro antenna device that lets U.S. households watch broadcast TV legally without paying a cable or satellite company for it and no monthly bills. So much attention is now being focused on this slick little device since the High Court handed down the big win for consumers. The landmark decision highlights the public’s ability to get all the top rated national TV network and regional shows broadcast over the air absolutely free. The only thing consumers need to do to get the slick little micro antenna device is call the Free TV Order Hotline beginning at 8:30am this morning or simply return the Free TV Claim Form printed at the bottom of this page before the 3-day postmark deadline ends. Everyone who does is getting the slick little $88 device at a real steal because it pulls in crystal-clear digital TV channels for free with no monthly bills. The target audience for the slick little micro antenna device has been young urban professionals who don’t want to watch more than 20 or 30 live TV channels. But now older folks are snapping up the slick little device because it’s rapidly becoming popular for those on fixed incomes and anyone who just doesn’t want to pay a cable or satellite bill anymore. “When advanced technology enables consumers to just plug in a simple device to get free TV, consumers are the winners,” said David Martin, Senior Analyst at CompTek, the company that makes the sleek little micro antenna device that works on virtually any TV. “This special advertising feature is being so widely published because there’s never a monthly bill to pay and all the channels you get are absolutely free,” Martin said. “That’s why the slick little device is not like being tied to a cable or satellite company. The device is engineered to access solely overthe-air signals that include all the top rated national and all broadcast stations, like DISNEY (ABC), COMCAST (NBC), CBS, 21st Century FOX (FOX), PBS, CW and about 90% of the most watched TV shows like America’s Got Talent, NCIS, The Big Bang Theory, 60 Minutes, The Bachelorette, Blue Bloods, Dateline, Person of Interest, American Idol, The Voice, Dancing With the Stars, CSI, Two and a Half Men, Sunday Night Football plus news, weather and sports all for free with no

Consumers in all 50 states who want to get Free TV with no monthly bills just need to call within 72 hours or beat the 3-day postmark deadline. AEREO
Consumers who get a slick little micro antenna device like the razor thin Clear-Cast® brand will get free TV with no monthly bills. The courts ruling emboldens the ability for consumers to legally use the slick little device in their own home to get free TV. The simple device is engineered to pull in nothing but free TV channels in crystal-clear digital picture with no cable, satellite or internet connection. That’s why this slick little micro antenna is a real steal at just $88 because it is such a smart alternative for everyone who is sick and tired of paying cable and satellite bills.
Aereo will likely suspend its business since the court’s decision after it developed a way to bootleg major TV network’s content. Aereo charged subscribers $8 to $12 a month to lease a dime size remote antenna located in the company’s facility.

DEVICE MAKERS
With the victory, all major networks and TV stations get to protect their copyrights, but they must continue to comply with Federal Law 47CFR SEC. 1.4000 which allows consumers who have a slick little micro antenna device to receive all the crystal-clear over-the-air broadcast channels for free. Shown here are a handful of the major networks that must broadcast over the air channels that consumers can receive for free with the slick little micro antenna devices that saves money by not picking up expensive cable only channels like ESPN so there’s never a monthly bill for consumers to pay.
The Computer & Communications Industry Association backed Aereo’s position, having concerns that the ruling could be detrimental to other cloud services.
Network trademarks and programs are the property of their respective owners and are not affiliated with or endorsing the antenna devices. Consumers report the crystal-clear picture quality with the Clear-Cast brand micro antenna device is the best quality picture they’ve ever seen.

Hollywood cheered the high court’s decision because consumers who have a slick little micro antenna device will receive all of the major network Hollywood movies broadcast over the air for free.

Austin is the new Portland. It attracts free spirits, hippies and more than a few aspiring musicians. Sometimes it feels like there are more food trucks than people. There’s a reason they want to “Keep Austin Weird.” But the coolest part of Austin is probably the food scene; you can get everything from trendy foods at a food truck to Texas-themed sushi.

EDUCATION GUIDE
History. A 1920s-era college form reveals how education has evolved To say that the college application process has changed over the course of the last century is a vast understatement. A newly discovered college application from 1922 shows just how much educational standards and cultural expectations have changed over the last 92 years. A student assistant at Elon University in North Carolina was going through a stack of old maps when he stumbled onto the faded application for what was then known as Elon College’s class of 1926. He promptly asked his boss, special-collections librarian Katie Nash, if he could upload a photo of the one-page application onto the social networking site Reddit. Users of the site were thrilled with the unusual find, and the photo has been viewed over a million times and generated over a thousand comments. “Honestly, I’d never heard of Reddit until he did that,” Nash said in an interview with the Chronicle of Higher Education. “But then it exploded.
The questions A sampling Elon College asked prospective students on its 1922 application:

WHEN SCHOOLS SAY THEY OFFER STUDENT SUPPORT, WHAT DO THEY MEAN? It could mean a lot of different things. At Bay State College it means we understand that going back to school is a big decision. And, it means we understand your concerns about succeeding at the college level. That’s why, regardless of how you see yourself doing in college, we see an opportunity to help you realize your potential with a community of support. What else does it mean? It means that admissions counselors can show off our campus, answer your questions and guide you through our selection process—even before you apply. It means helping 95 percent of this year’s freshman class receive grants or scholarships that don’t have to be repaid. It means personal success coordinators and a closely-knit student body that can help make America’s biggest college town feel a little more like home. In the classroom, it means a wide variety of Associates and Bachelor’s degree programs in such in-demand fields as healthcare, business, fashion, criminal justice and more. No matter which program you choose, it means learning in small classes from accessible professors with real-world
experience in their field. To fit your schedule, it means making classes available at night or online. As you advance toward your degree, it means having a personal career advancement team. It means helping you write cover letters and resumes, creating mock job interviews and using social media to help you get noticed. It means internships at some of Boston’s best companies and organizations to build working relationships with people that can help you find a full-time position doing what you love. In the end, what does it all mean? It means that at Bay State College, we care as much about your comfort as we do your success. It means we’re committed to providing you unmatched student support throughout your college journey. It means that going back to school doesn’t mean going it alone.
In short, it means Bay State is the right choice for you.

Applications. Will more colleges soon embrace the video application? One school is betting the answer is yes Will the college application as we know it soon be a thing of the past? Goucher College seems to think so. The liberal arts college in Maryland recently announced that it will begin accepting video applications from prospective students this fall. Instead of submitting a traditional application, high school seniors now have the option of creating a twominute video in which they explain why they want to go to Goucher and why they feel they would thrive there. There’s also an added bonus for students who go the video route: Those who choose to do so will not have to submit any standardized scores or a high school transcript. A video posted to Goucher’s YouTube channel touts the freedom that the new video option gives students. “I’m more than just a number,” several students say on camera. “So maybe test bubbles

Discourse on male victims distracts from Ray Rice issue
Rice was the victim of a horrific attack does nothing but distract from the terrible nature of the crime and remove much-needed empathy for her. The obvious fact of the matter is that Ray Rice is not a victim of domestic violence, but an abuser who deserves the harsh media scrutiny he received for harming his then-fiancee in such a way. Implying that men would be mocked for the reverse scenario is conceivable, but irrelevant in this context. B. MASON, VIA EMAIL
Re: ‘Men can be victims, too’ (Metro, Sept. 15) Letter writer Byron Watson has a valid point in saying that men can be victims of domestic violence on the same scale as women, and it is true that this type of crime is often played off by society as “non-serious.” However, discussing the abuse of men during this case in which Janae
This assertion, true as it is, doesn’t add anything to the discussion about what happens to women with odious frequency. Would a woman abuser’s speculative immunity change the fact that Rice’s alleged actions are absolutely prosecutable? SCOTT PERRY, VIA EMAIL

The long haul about to begin for tweaked B’s NHL. Here’s what you missed this offseason as the Bruins prep for training camp later this week.
If it feels as though it has been a while since the Bruins played a real game, you are correct. After getting unceremoniously bounced by the hated Canadiens in a Game 7 at TD Garden on May 14 in the second round of the playoffs, Boston experienced a much-longer-than-anticipated offseason. The good news for the B’s and their fans is that the lengthy break is coming to an end and Boston enters the earliest stages of the 201415 season as one of the favorites in the Eastern Conference and the NHL. Here are a few items to keep tabs on as camp opens up later this week:
The art of the re-up
Earlier this month, center David Krejci signed a six-year extension worth $43.5 million. Coming off one of the best seasons of his underrated career (19 goals, 50 assists — most points on the Bruins; an NHLbest plus-39), locking up the 28-year-old Krejci made sense on many levels. He’s the Bruins’ top-line center and a guy who typically picks his game up a notch in the postseason. For whatever reason, he wasn’t himself in the playoffs last season (zero goals, four assists, minus-3), but the same could be said for most of his teammates against the Canadiens, who more than any other team in the NHL continually take it to the B’s. There aren’t too many juicy storylines heading into training camp, which is certainly how GM Peter Chiarelli and Co. want it, but one thing to pay attention to is the contract status’ of defenseman To-
Quoted
“I felt that there were moves I could have made that, at the end, I didn’t want to make. I thought is was to the betterment of the organization, to the team, not to do it, and that’s kind of where it stood.” Peter Chiarelli, Bruins general manager, on the decision to not re-sign Jarome Iginla and to free money for younger players
SPORTS
rey Krug (14 goals, 26 assists) and right wing Reilly Smith (20 goals, 31 assists). They are two of the Bruins’ top young players (both are 23) and they are currently restricted free agents.
Holes to fill The two most notable losses that the Bruins suffered over the summer were right wing Jarome Iginla (30 goals, 31 assists) going to Colorado and enforcer Shawn Thornton (74 penalty minutes) heading to Florida. Boston wanted to keep Iginla but with his strong season last year, they couldn’t afford him. Thornton is 37 — so they were prepared to move on. The name bandied about to replace Iginla’s dependable production on the first line with Krejci and Milan Lucic has been incumbent forward Loui Eriksson (10 goals, 27 assists). He isn’t Iginla, by any means, but there weren’t many other legitimate options out there for Chiarelli. As for Thornton’s spot, it’ll be a preseason battle royal between Justin Florek, Matt Fraser, Justin Lindblad and Ryan Spooner, among others.
David Krejci registered 69 points last season but struggled in the playoffs, compiling just four points in two series. / GETTY IMAGES

DEAR MR. PETERSON, GO AWAY
I’m part of the problem. I realize that. My first reaction to the news that Adrian Peterson was indicted on child injury charges last Friday, was, “There’s goes my fantasy football season.” My second instinct was that I had to pick up Vikings backup running back Matt Asiata off the waiver wire. My third move was to read what actually happened to Peterson’s child. I admit, that timeline is disgusting. But I know I’m far from the only one who reacted this way. On that third step, I first had to find out exactly what a “switch” was. A switch is a tree branch. And hitting a child with a tree branch in “the South” is common, tradition even, according to proud Southerners like Charles Barkley. On Saturday, more details came out regarding Peterson’s alleged abuse in a CBS Houston story. Peterson allegedly stuffed the leaves from the tree branches in his child’s mouth before beating him. While beating his kid with the switch, he also “hit him in the nuts.” His kid later “expressed worry” that daddy would punch him in the face if he told authorities about the on-going “whoopings.” His kid

said that daddy “likes belts and switches” and that daddy even had his own “whooping room.” Just imagine what would happen if TMZ released a video of what actually happened in that “whooping room.” Peterson would be not only be suspended from the NFL for life, but he would likely wind up in jail for life. But because we can’t apparently comprehend how serious a situation is today until we see the video evidence (police reports just don’t provide enough information, I guess), Peterson will get the benefit of the doubt going forward. Peterson apologized Monday and is going to play this Sunday against the Saints. Barkley’s comments on the matter, much like my initial concern for my fantasy team, are gross. I literally can’t think of one other public figure in
CLASSIFIED DIRECTORY
America who could say this on National TV, as Barkley did on CBS Sunday, and get away with it: “I’m from the South. I understand [Boomer Esiason’s] outrage and anger. But he’s a white guy and I’m a black guy. I don’t know where he’s from, I’m from the South. Whipping — we do that all the time. Every black parent in the South is going to be in jail under those circumstances.” Barkley is basically playing both the race and “tradition” cards here, but his true crime is ignorance. He truly thinks that Peterson simply hit his kid with a twig a couple times on the ass. That’s not what happened. Barkley, like myself, didn’t bother to take the time to investigate the seriousness of Peterson’s actions right away. The discussion will now undoubtedly turn to whether
or not the NFL should suspend Peterson despite him not being found guilty of anything yet. It’s entirely possible that the NFL will grandstand on this issue and suspend Peterson “indefinitely,” to make up for the Ray Rice case botching. But let the NFL breathe here for a moment. Let’s put this one on Peterson himself, first. Peterson should not only have apologized Monday, he should have said that he’s sitting out the rest of the season. He should really just go away for a while. Save everyone some time. So long, Adrian. No one wants to see or hear from you right now. Seriously. Go away. Even if Peterson gave a phony, “I’m taking the rest of 2014 off to spend more time with my family” excuse, only to father more children by more random women on his vacation from his problems, that would be better than him playing again this season. But Peterson will press forward this week and act as though he’s a victim in this whole thing. Meanwhile, Vikings fans will be ecstatic to see him back and idiot fantasy owners like myself will waste little time re-inserting him into their lineups. The show must go on, right?
Adrian Peterson apologized Monday. It looks as though the Vikings running back will play next Sunday against New Orleans. / GETTY IMAGES
