GORSUCH CONFIRMATION WATER LINES TO BE REPLACED IN FLINT VOTE WILL BE APRIL 7
1
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said that the Senate would have a final vote on April 7 on President Donald Trump’s nominee for the Supreme Court, Neil Gorsuch, even as more Democrats opposed his confirmation. The Gorsuch nomination, McConnell told reporters, will hit the Senate floor next week after the Senate Judiciary Committee on Monday approves him. McConnell added that Gorsuch will
be “confirmed on Friday” of next week. Senate Republicans continued to put the pressure on Democrats to lend enough support to Colorado appeals court judge Gorsuch to avoid a showdown that in turn could trigger McConnell to seek a change in Senate rules that would clear away a Democratic blockade. FACEBOOK ADDS CAMERA FEATURES
5
Facebook Inc. is giving the camera a central place on its smartphone app for the first time, encouraging users to take more pictures and edit them with digital stickers that show the influence of rival Snapchat. Shares of Snapchat owner Snap Inc (SNAP.N), which held its initial public offering this month, were down 4.1 percent at $22.85 after Faceook’s announcement. With an update
scheduled to take effect on Tuesday, Facebook will allow users to get to the app’s camera with one swipe of their finger and then add visual details like a rainbow or a beard of glitter. Users will be able to share a picture privately with a friend, rather than to all of their friends, and add a picture to a gallery known as a “story,” similar to a feature on the Snapchat app. REUTERS

Michigan will replace water lines serving at least 18,000 homes in Flint over the next three years under a settlement approved by a U.S. judge to address a 2015 crisis that exposed residents to lead in their drinking water. The state will pay $87 million to identify and replace the service lines containing lead or galvanized steel by 2020, according to the settlement approved by U.S. District Judge David Lawson
in Detroit, court documents said. An additional $10 million is being held in reserve. The deal marked a major agreement to replace piping that played a significant role in the Flint water crisis that prompted dozens of lawsuits and criminal charges against former government officials. Lawson found the settlement to be “fair, adequate, reasonable, consistent with the public interest,” according to online court documents. REUTERS
BRITISH PM MAY TO FIRE STARTING GUN ON BREXIT

Prime Minister Theresa May will file formal Brexit divorce papers on Wednesday, pitching the United Kingdom into the unknown and triggering years of uncertain negotiations that will test the endurance of the European Union. Nine months after Britons voted to leave, May will notify EU Council President Donald Tusk in a letter that the U.K. really is quitting the bloc it
joined in 1973. The prime minister, an initial opponent of Brexit who won the top job in the political turmoil that followed the referendum vote, will then have two years to settle the terms of the divorce before it comes into effect in late March 2019. REUTERS

The Taraboczhia family from Emerson, New Jersey, had just left Notre Dame University where their daughter Riana was just accepted … as they traveled west on US 20 in La Porte County, a wild turkey flew into the path of their rental vehicle. The wild turkey was impaled in the center of the windshield. The 30-pound Tom was killed on impact and fortunately the family only suffered minor cuts from the glass. Mating season for wild turkeys means that they are often on the move and can be as hazardous as deer. LA PORTE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE FACEBOOK PAGE

Suing ‘commander in tweet’ for defamation: It’s a losing proposition If Donald Trump said, “So what, sue me!” to his haters, is that even possible? Is Trump legally responsible for what he writes on Twitter? KIMBERLY AQUILINA @KimESTAqui

Average citizen Donald Trump tweeted some doozies that left many scratching their heads. At times President Trump’s tweets are inflammatory, but can the POTUS be sued for what he says on Twitter? “The president is ... not above the civil law and he is not above the criminal law,” Alan Sash, an attorney with the New York law offices of McLaughlin & Stern, said, but the chances someone can win a defamation case against Trump are slim. This week, Trump’s private attorneys asserted that he should be immune from a defamation lawsuit filed against him by a former contestant on the NBC show “The Apprentice” because of his presidential duties. “Ironically [the attorneys] are pulling from the First Amendment
— that the president has the right to say what is on his mind without fear of lawsuits,” Sash continued. The president doesn’t have constitutional immunity from defamation, but Trump, just like any average Tom, Don and Harry cannot be sued for tweeting his opinion. “It makes no difference that he’s president and, I think that’s fogging up the analysis here,” Sash told Metro. If Trump drives his car into yours, you can sue him for negligence, but if he calls someone a liar, perhaps a woman accusing him of sexual assault or a newspaper that printed something he didn’t like, that would fall under opinion or hyperbole. Accusing former President Barack Obama of wiretapping during the 2016 election is a serious allegation, Sash said, but Trump could always claim it was hyperbole: “I didn’t give specifics,” he could argue. Obama wiretapped Trump Tower. “I live in Trump Tower. Close enough.” “If I stumbled out of a bar and I started saying Obama is wiretapping me, people will
think I’m a nutjob, but when the president says it, it has some weight,” Sash explained. “But if he heard it from someone [like Fox News] he is then sourcing it, and that doesn’t make it a statement. “He is just spreading false rumors.” Proving libel or slander against a public person is an uphill battle, Sash said, but if Trump were to accuse a private person of a crime, there might be trouble. And what about Trump’s tweets against Nordstrom after the retailer dumped daughter Ivanka’s fashion label? “That’s life,” Sash said. People are allowed to vote with their pocketbooks, and it isn’t illegal for a president to act “unpresidential,” he added. Sash said he would warn any elected official to be careful trying to explain any topic in 140 characters or a few sentences on Facebook. “It’s out of context and whether it’s defamation or not, it’s great to communicate with people, but with issues that can’t be boiled down to 140 characters, it’s best to leave it for a medium where you can explain yourself in full,” Sash said.

New nonprofit aims to raise $50 million for opioid addiction A new nonprofit in Massachusetts plans to raise $50 million over the next three years to support innovative efforts to fight opioid addiction and substance abuse and has already attracted $13 million in funding commitments. RIZE Massachusetts held its first meeting in Boston on Tuesday morning and has begun its search for an executive director. Its board includes executives from the GE Foundation, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Cape Cod Healthcare, 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East, The Dimock Center, Learn to Cope, Partners HealthCare, and Boston Medical Center. “For too long, medicine has failed to treat addiction as the chronic disease that it is, RIZE board member David Torchiana, president and CEO of Partners HealthCare, said in a statement
BRANDON GIESBRECHT/FLICKR
describing the approach behind the new effort. “This effort holds promise because it is focused on the ongoing process of recovery. It is the only approach that will defeat this epidemic. RIZE plans to issue a request for proposals to vet ideas centered around evidence-based treatment. Grants will be made based on recommendations from a review committee and the executive director. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts has agreed to test the cost effectiveness of new models of care.
“The opioid epidemic has had a tragic impact on our Commonwealth’s families and communities, and we are always encouraged to have new partners joining efforts to curb this crisis, Gov. Charlie Baker said in a statement released by RIZE. A total of 1,465 people died of unintentional opioid overdoses in 2016, with another 469 to 562 suspected opioid-related deaths, according to the Department of Public Health’s quarterly overdose report in February. ACLU urges state to ‘hold strong’ against efforts to punish sanctuary cities It followed Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ statement he would pull federal funding from municipalities that don’t comply with ICE agents. KRISTIN TOUSSAINT @kristindakota

The American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts says it is not deterred. A day after Attorney General Jeff Sessions reiterated his intention to pull federal funding from “sanctuary cities for not complying with federal immigration efforts, the ACLU fired back. Laura Rotolo, an ACLU staff lawyer focusing on immigration, called his statements “yet another attempt to bully local police departments into becoming part of Trump’s force. In a conference call on Tuesday, Rotolo urged Massachusetts cities and towns to “hold strong against the Trump administration’s attempts to punish sanctuary cities for refusing to cooperate with immigration agents. The ACLU, which has gone to court to fight President Donald Trump’s

travel ban, warned the administration that punishing sanctuary cities was illegal and would be challenged. “Coercing cities and towns to do the work of the federal government is simply unconstitutional and faces strong legal challenges, Rotolo said. She added that “allowing federal governments to coerce local police into becoming, essentially, deportation agents, break down community trust and makes us all unsafe. The ACLU has previously spoken out about the Trump administration’s efforts to, as it says, “coerce state and
local police into providing information about or temporarily detaining undocumented immigrants until the Immigration and Customs Enforcement can deport that person. Boston Mayor Marty Walsh has also been outspoken about his city’s position as a sanctuary city, and reiterated that in a statement Monday night following Sessions’ comments. “The safety and wellbeing of our residents is, and will continue to be, my top priority as mayor of Boston,â€? he said. Meet Mariah Carey’s hot new BF
Bar Refaeli gets in on pregnancy trend Bar Refaeli took to Instagram on Tuesday to announce that she’s expecting her second kid with husband Adi Ezra. Because Instagram was literally created to be a tool for celebrities to share the most exciting (and other times most trivial) parts of their daily lives. Fun! According to People, the 31-year-old model shared a photo baring her belly with the
caption, “Something’s cooking.” Could be that she’s just bloated and she has a mess of stuff in the crock pot, but I guess not! Refaeli and Ezra, a businessman, already share a daughter, Liv. The model is best known for dating Leonardo DiCaprio back in the day. I mean, is pregnancy even cool anymore now that everyone is doing it?
This ‘Fresh Prince’ reunion is everything
Mariah Carey recently celebrated her 47th birthday — I’m sorry, 47th anniversary — in Cabo San Lucas. There was sun! There was fun! There were poorly lit Instagram snaps! But more importantly? She spent that time with her “boyfriend,” Bryan Tanaka, 33. Is it real love? Or is their relationship just a ploy for Mariah’s reality show, “Mariah’s World”? I literally do not know! Here’s what we do know. At the very least, he is gainfully employed.
Tanaka is chiefly a choreographer slash dancer type. In fact, he and Mimi met back in 2006 when he took the stage as a backup dancer on her Adventures of Mimi tour. Now, he’s her creative director, which, nepotism much? He’s been creeping on her for a while. Tanaka told E! News that he and Carey were meant to be, or whatever. “Something connected with us back in the day and there was just a mutual admiration. She saw something in me that I
pitch-perfectly played Uncle Phil, passed away in 2014. This gives me all the feels. I mean, Geoffery is there! Geoffery! And the second Aunt Viv! Don’t get too excited though — just because the old pals are reuniting for the ‘gram doesn’t mean they’ll be reuniting for a revival: When E! News asked Will Smith about the possibility of a reunion, he said it wasn’t very likely. “I don’t think ever, like pretty close to when hell freezes over.” Alrighty then!
And Carey’s ex-fiance was not a fan. It’s also worth mentioning that Mimi’s ex-fiance, James Packer, was apparently filled with a jealous rage over Tanaka — who, to be fair, is definitely younger and hotter.
He takes lap dances very seriously. MC once gave Tanaka an onstage lap dance to uh, “help” his injured knee. As expected, the experience filled Tanaka with unbridled joy. “That moment when I got to go on stage for a second, it was a special moment in time for Mariah and myself. I’m not gonna lie it made me feel a lot better.” Modern medicine, am I right?

Oscar Isaac to become hot dad? Abby Lee Miller exits ‘Dance Moms’ in dramatic fashion
The cast of “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air” — the seminal, classic show that changed the lives of every man, woman and child in America — had a mini reunion and it is everything. According to Bustle, Alfonso Ribeiro, who lives forever in your heart as Carlton Banks, shared a photo of the reunion on Instagram. “Always amazing to spend an afternoon with my Fresh Prince family,” he wrote. “Wishing that James Avery was still with us to make this complete.” Avery, who
actually didn’t recognize at first.” Cute, I guess!
Abby Lee Miller, the totally evil lady from “Dance Moms,” is quitting the show. According to Deadline, the choreographer admitted as much on her Instagram, in all caps for some reason. “I will no longer take part in Dance Moms. For the past six years/seven seasons I have asked, begged, and even demanded creative credit… to no avail!” Miller, who very
clearly has little to no chill, also happens to be less than two months away from a sentence hearing for fraud. She pleaded guilty to various charges of fraud and violating currency reporting laws — whatever that means — in June. She’s facing two years in prison. This looks like a classic case of deflection to me. Only time will tell: Miller is due for sentencing on May 8.
This is pure speculation, but it sure looks like Oscar Isaac is expecting with his partner, Elvira Lind. That’s right: The man who was once hailed the internet’s boyfriend has now relegated the interwebs to the role of sidepiece and/or mistress. LaineyGossip noticed that a photo agency captioned Lind as pregnant, and she certainly looks the part. Sure, it
could have been a big lunch, but my how she’s glowing! Isaac has been notoriously private about his dating life, but one time he brought Lind, a documentary filmmaker, to the Golden Globes. Which was really nice of him. Congratulations to the couple on what is absolutely going to be an extremely good looking baby.

Alice Lowe is very nice. That’s a little surreal if you saw her in “Sightseers.â€? In the 2012 dark comedy, which she also co-wrote, Lowe played a mousy woman whose boyfriend (Steve Oram) schools her in the joys of gruesomely offing random strangers. Being likable Another thing she wanted to do was make a movie with a protagonist who isn’t exactly sympathetic. Ruth may be mad, but she’s also a murderer, and she takes glee in taking a sharp blade to people she’s never met, or hacking o a poor guy’s member. “One of my inspirations was ‘Taxi Driver,’â€? Lowe says. “I’ve long thought about why there are no female ‘Taxi Drivers.’ Why don’t we have loner, maverick outsiders who are female? People are capable of watching ‘Taxi Driver’ and not thinking, ‘What a terrible representation of men.’ They understand he’s just one man. And you don’t have to like him. Why would
friends who are fellow actresses told me, ‘Don’t tell people you’re pregnant, because you won’t work for ages.’ When it’s over, you can’t say, ‘I’m back! I want to work!’ People perceive you as having disappeared. “Prevenge is the first feature film Lowe has directed herself, and she’s amazed it happened at all. “I had thought my dreams of directing were over because I was having a baby, she remembers. “I was like, ‘Who do I know that directs films and has a tiny baby?’ I know plen-
Travis Bickle need to be likable? Yet that’s a question that gets applied to female characters often. I hear that a lot as a writer and as an actress: ‘Why isn’t she likable enough?’ Who cares? That’s a social judgment. That shouldn’t come into a creative work of ďŹ ction.â€? Lowe hopes that the ďŹ lm industry will take the right lessons from certain recent hits, like “Get Out.â€? “Certain people are underrepresented in cinema,â€? she explains. “People have an appetite to see stories told in different ways. We’re quite jaded as an audience now. I think we want to see something that feels fresh and new. That seems truthful as well. We want to see things in ďŹ lms that aren’t being said, that are the elephants in the room.â€?
ty of men, but no women. I thought it was game over in terms of getting to do whatever I wanted.â€? Backyard brew Hopsters owner Lee Cooper says, “Beer is too fun to be serious.” GORDON DONNELLY @gord_donnelly
gordon.donnelly@metro.us
Whether it’s the spacious layout, the near floor-toceiling windows, the affable brew aficionados or the beer list which sports the affectionately named “Trump Sucks Ass” — something about Hopsters in Newton just feels like home. It’s a feeling that, according owner Lee Cooper, is not accidental. “We wanted to share the mentality that craft beer really is for everyone, and it doesn’t need to be intimidating,” Cooper says. “We’ve become a destination not just for people who really love beer, but for those who want to learn more … without the intimidation of a serious craft beer bar.”
We spoke with Cooper following our own preliminary experience at the brew-your-own-beer startup, which, since its inception in 2013, has become something of a local favorite. Patrons can indulge in

a tour of the brewery, delicious beer and food at the bar, or, if they’re feeling particularly adventurous, a step-by-step tutorial on how to brew their own beer. The latter process, which is Hopsters’ calling
card, can take a couple hours; but fear not — the bites, brews and several TVs are more than enough to pass the time. Think of it this way: Hopsters is a place with all the know-how and attention to detail of a craft brewery, but with the appeal of a sports bar — i.e., if you get lost in the science, feel free to just get lost in the sauce. The aesthetic is somewhere in between. We passed the time with three IPAs: the Comet Citra, the Newtonian (both $8) and the Ship of Fools ($7). The Ship of Fools is a bitterer West Coast IPA, while the Comet Citra and Newtonian are New England IPAs with tons of aroma-forward hops. They have big, juicy flavors that burst with tropical fruit aromas. At 8.4 percent alcohol by volume, the Newtonian will knock you on your rear end at 9.8 meters per second. But don’t worry

— what Cooper calls the “pillowy mouthfeel” will soften the blow. Of course, lost in the amiable atmosphere is Cooper’s anything-butpassive plan for expansion. Construction plans for a Fort Point location are underway, and that’s just the beginning. “I first started Hopsters as a way to make the cask ales and beer varieties I enjoyed at home in the U.K. more accessible in the U.S.,” says Cooper,

“It’s typically pretty hard to find a fresh New England IPA without spending a few hours driving or waiting in line,” Cooper continues. “But because we’re a small brewpub, we’re able to consistently brew two New England IPAs each week and ensure that they’re always on tap.” See the beer, make the beer. Walk down the street and drink the beer. Yeah, we think there’s a market for that.
who grew up in Liverpool. “Now we’re working to open up a second brewpub in the Seaport. After that, our goal is to expand into other cities.” The opportunity to brew your own beer, Cooper says, is a draw in itself, and a niche many cities need filled. But the convenience of having a brewpub right down the street, affably churning out fresh IPAs, is perhaps even more tantalizing for prospective customers.

If living in a neighborhood that resembles The Capitol in Hunger Games is your thing, you’re in luck: Boston’s Seaport is a spotless, futuristic area where you’d expect the Jetsons to put down roots. What used to be a vast wasteland of parking lots is now a spotless vision of luxury condos and office buildings. With the Boston Convention and Expo Center holding main court and looming above, the Seaport is one of the most coveted (and expensive) neighborhoods in the city. “The Seaport skyline changes almost on a monthly basis,” says Stacey Alcorn, owner of LAER Realty Partners. “There are new luxury buildings popping up all over the Seaport.”
It’s quite the contrast, says Alcorn, from five years ago when the Seaport wasn’t even on the top 10 list of areas to live in within the city. But now, millennials with money to burn are flocking to the area — and are ponying up the cash to live in luxurious rental units. Rents range from $2,600 to $3,200 a month for one-bedroom units, with two-bedroom units starting in the $3,800 range, says Alcorn. If you’re looking to actually buy a property, get ready to spend around $1 million for a one bedroom. Residents praise the Seaport’s access to Interstate 93 and the Mass. Pike for those who work in the suburbs, as well as restaurants and downtown Boston. “The Seaport, unlike a couple years ago, now has that ‘neighborhood feel,’ and people want to walk outside their door and have dining options, green space and know they can get to any other

Boston neighborhood in a matter of minutes,” says Patrick Flynn, CEO and founder of Northeast Suites, which helps companies find housing for temporary employees and those who have relocated to Boston from out of state. Ten years ago, filling luxury residences in the Seaport was much more complicated than it is now, with the influx of companies like General Electric, Vertex and the incoming addition of Reebok. Now, Flynn is renting all-inclusive

I remember when we were trying to help fill that building up with 100 Cirque Du Soleil actors because they were hurting for occupancy so bad, and they could actually accommodate a group that size. Rents lingered around the low $2,000s unfur-
nished,” says Flynn. “Now rents are double that and occupancy is in the mid-90 percents.” And while the skyhigh prices in the Seaport are certainly rising, in comparison to other high end neighborhoods in the city, they’re still considered somewhat decent. “Rents are rising in the Seaport just like every other part of the city,” says Alcorn. “But prices are still reasonable relative to the other parts of the city like Back Bay and South End.”

“Football to me is more than just a sport. It has become my life.” Tom Brady, to TheMMQB.com in February
The quarterback of the future for the New England Patriots likely isn’t Jimmy Garoppolo. It’s Tom Brady. GETTY IMAGES
Brady looking like a football immortal The Pats legend really is shooting to play until he’s nearly 50. MATT BURKE @burke_metro
matthew.burke@metro.us
Robert Kraft eased the fears of Boston sports fans this week when he said he thinks Tom Brady will play another six or seven years. Brady will be 40 when the 2017 NFL season kicks off, which means if he plays as long as the Patriots owner thinks he will — he’ll be 46 or 47 by the time he hangs ’em up. What Brady is already doing is superhuman — winning Super Bowls despite being born three years before Ronald Reagan took office. If he’s still decent and playing by the time he’s 46, then he truly will be a GOAT in shoulder pads — gray and hobbled. “As recently as 2-3 days ago, [Brady] assured
me he’d be willing to play six to seven more years and at the level he performed,” Kraft said this week at the NFL owners meetings. “I think Tommy’s sustained excellence is just unbelievable. It’s a lifestyle. He’s in training now, it’s not like he’s stopped. … The only thing that’s probably changed [over the years] is how he eats and his diet. I’m not sure avocado ice cream is right for me, but if I could look like him and perform half as well, I guess I’d do it.” Brady became the second oldest quarterback in NFL history to win a Super Bowl with the Pats’ overtime victory over the Falcons last month (Peyton Manning was 39 years and 320 days when he won the year prior). It’s the level that Brady is playing at that’s unprecedented for this age already. He threw an unreal 28 touchdown passes with just two interceptions this past
season while posting his best regular season passer rating since 2007. As crazy as it sounds, Brady could very well record career high numbers this coming season – especially given that he will now get to play with the best young receiver he has ever played with in 23-year-old Brandin Cooks. “Other than playing football,” Brady explained to The MMQB’s Peter King last month, “the other thing I love to do is prepare to play football. I’ve worked Tom Brady hard to get GETTY IMAGES a system in place that really works for me and
I know could work for everybody else if they just did it. That enables me to play p 99 plays p [[in SuS per p
Bowl 51, a career high for one game] as a 39-yearold in the last game of the season. Football to me is more than just a sport. It has become my life. Every choice that I make — what I have for breakfast, how I work out, all of those things. I love the game. I love playing.” Warren Moon, Vinny Testaverde and Steve T DeBerg were all on NFL N rosters at the age a of 44 but all were a shell of w their former t selves. George s Blanda is the B oldest man o to play in the NFL N at the age of 48, 4 but he was mainly a kicker by m that point. t
What about Jimmy? The one downside to Brady potentially playing until that age is that the franchise will
have to part with their most promising young QB since Brady himself. Jimmy Garoppolo desperately wants to be an NFL starter, but it’s becoming increasingly likely that that opportunity will take place away from Gillette Stadium. The most likely landing spot for Jimmy G — if he is to be traded this offseason - remains Cleveland. Tony Grossi of ESPN Cleveland wrote last week that Garoppolo is still the favorite to be the Browns’ starting QB come September — even ahead of incumbent Cody Kessler. As for Patriots fans’ dream of obtaining the top overall pick in this year’s draft from the Browns in exchange for Garoppolo (who was selected with the 62nd overall pick three years ago) — it’s likely just a dream. Cleveland head coach Hue Jackson was firm this week that the No. 1 pick was not for sale.

The biggest first-round threats to the C’s Before getting the Cavs, the Celtics need to take care of business in Round 1.
to show even more in the playoffs. The C’s swept them this season, too.
Milwaukee Bucks
Why they are a threat: The Bucks have been hot of late and invade TD Garden tonight. This is the least familiar East team left on Boston’s radar, as they’ve only played them once — a 112-108 C’s win in OT. Why they aren’t a threat: Talent aside, when it comes down to coaching, it’s really hard to believe Jason Kidd is going to beat Brad Stevens.
JAMES TOSCANO @Jimmy_Toscano sports@metro.us
We can talk about what a treat the playoffs will be if the Celtics end up in a series against the Washington Wizards, and eventually the Cleveland Cavaliers, until we’re green in the face. But the bottom line is the Celtics have to get out of the first round first. If they start thinking about the next series, they may not make it out of the opening round — which would be an extraordinary letdown after the regular season they’ve had. It’s true, this year should be a lot easier for them. Two seasons ago, they were happy just to be there, and the Cavaliers made quick work of them. Last season, a little slump to end the season put them on the road to begin things against a tough Hawks team. This season? They’re solidifying themselves as a top-two seed in the East and are a virtual lock for one of the top four seeds. And it just so happens their upcoming schedule
Chicago Bulls
Why they are a threat: We’ll be honest, it would be a surprise to see the Bulls make the playoffs. Why they aren’t a threat: Did you see what the Celtics did to them last time? A 100-80 beatdown. Not happening. Isaiah Thomas and the Celtics would probably like to avoid Atlanta in the first round of the playoffs. GETTY IMAGES
lines them up with a few potential first-round matchups. So let’s take a look at some of the options as six teams fight for the final four spots.
Atlanta Hawks
Why they are a threat: Paul Millsap was a stud against the C’s in the playoffs last season.

The Hawks added Dwight Howard, too, clogging things up in the paint. This would be the toughest matchup for Boston. Why they aren’t a threat: Well, the Celtics stole one of their best players from last season in Al Horford. And do you really think the C’s are going to let Dennis Schroder get the best of
them? Not to mention they’re struggling down the stretch.
Indiana Pacers
Why they are a threat: You don’t have to tell anybody in the Celtics organization how good Paul George is. The C’s rumored interest in the Pacers’ superstar is well documented. Jeff Teague

Why they are a threat: Led by Andre Drummond, they rebound well and don’t give up a lot of points. It would be a physical matchup for Boston. Why they aren’t a threat: Sure, the Pistons once won a championship without a superstar. But it isn’t going to happen with this team.
