TRUMP GROWING COSBY: NO PLANS FOR FRUSTRATED WITH CHINA SEXUAL ASSAULT TOUR

NYT: KUSHNER HIRES PROMINENT TRIAL LAWYER

President Donald Trump is growing increasingly frustrated with China over its inaction on North Korea and bilateral trade issues and is now considering possible trade actions against Beijing, three senior administration officials told Reuters. The officials said Trump was impatient with China and was looking at a range of options, including tariffs on steel imports, which Commerce

President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and adviser, Jared Kushner, has hired a prominent trial lawyer to help represent him in inquiries linked to Russia, The New York Times reported on Monday citing another member of his legal team. Kushner took on Abbe D. Lowell, the newspaper said, joining other senior administration figures including U.S. At-

Secretary Wilbur Ross already has said he is considering as part of a national security study of the U.S. steel industry. Whether Trump would actually take any steps against China remains unclear.

Bill Cosby said on Tuesday he has no plans to hold town hall events to discuss sexual assault, days after his spokesman suggested the comedian planned a series of public talks to educate men about how to avoid false accusations. Cosby’s spokesman, Andrew Wyatt, first put forward the idea for the town hall talks in an interview with a Birmingham, Alabama, TV station last week, five days after

Cosby’s sex assault trial ended in a hung jury. The proposal drew immediate criticism from a lawyer representing some of the dozens of women who have leveled sex assault accusations at the 79-yearold entertainer, whose long career was built on a family-friendly style of comedy. “The current propaganda that I am going to conduct a sexual assault tour is false,” Cosby said in a statement released by Wyatt on Tuesday.

HEALTHCARE BILL VOTE DELAYED

4

Facing a potentially disastrous defeat by members of his own party, U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell decided on Tuesday to delay a vote on healthcare legislation in order to get more support from Republican senators. President Donald Trump summoned all 52 Republican senators to the White House on Tuesday afternoon to discuss how to proceed. McConnell had

been pushing for a vote ahead of the July 4 recess that starts at the end of the week. The legislation would advance a repeal of major elements of Obamacare and replace it with a new federal healthcare program. The delay showed McConnell and Trump have failed so far to attract enough votes amid a solid block of Democratic opposition and attacks from both moderate and conservative Republican senators. The White House has come under increased scrutiny since Department of Justice Special Counsel Robert Mueller and a number of congressional committees launched investigations into whether there were ties between Russia and Trump’s 2016 election campaign team.

Facebook Inc. said on Tuesday that 2 billion people are regularly using its flagship service, marching past another milestone in its growth from a college curiosity in the United States to the world’s largest social media network. Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg disclosed the number to his followers in a Facebook post. “It’s an honor to be on this journey with you,” he wrote. The user base is bigger than

the population of any single country, and of six of the seven continents. It represents more than a quarter of the world’s 7.5 billion people. Facebook defines a monthly active user as a registered Facebook user who logged in and visited Facebook through its website or a mobile device, or used its Messenger app, in the past 30 days. It does not include people who use the Instagram or WhatsApp networks but not Facebook.

Madoff settlements reach $12 billion with new accords The trustee recouping money for Bernard Madoff’s victims on Tuesday announced nearly $371 million of new settlements with two groups of offshore funds that invested with the imprisoned Ponzi schemer, boosting the total recovery to about $12 billion. Irving Picard, the trustee, said Lagoon Investment Ltd agreed to repay $240.7 million from an account through which Hermes International Fund Ltd. invested with Madoff, while Thema Fund Ltd. and an affiliate agreed to repay $130.1 million. RENT INCREASES NYC Rent Guidelines Board votes to increase stabilized rents A Tuesday night vote held at Baruch College ended with the city’s Rent Guidelines Board deciding to increase rents in rent-stabilized apartments, ABC7 reported. Tenants with one-year leases can expect an increase of 1.25 percent, with a 2 percent increase on two-year leases, ABC7 added. The 7-to-2 vote affected the city’s 1.6 million residents who live in rent-stabilized apartments. Landlords had been pushing for a 4 to 8 percent increase, saying that operating costs had risen by more than 6 percent in 2016, NY1 reported. For the previous two years, rents were frozen for residents with one-year leases, and this year, tenants were aiming for another round of freezes or even a rent rollback. The new increases will begin taking effect on Oct. 1, NY1 added. JASON NUCKOLLS

Commuter confusion ends as South Ferry subway station reopens The South Ferry subway station in the Financial District is back, almost five years after Hurricane Sandy pretty much destroyed it. South Ferry reopened Tuesday after a fouryear, $350 million repair project — and the current station known as old South Ferry, which straphangers have been using again to catch the 1 train since 2013, goes back into oblivion, NY1 reported. It’s OK if that sounds a bit confusing if you’re not one of the thousands of New Yorkers who regularly use South Ferry and who have been living with the confusion for the past few years. The South Ferry station that has been in use since repairs began in 2013 was an old terminal that was built in 1905 and closed in 2009 when the new, more modern station opened. Just three years later, South Ferry’s new station smell had barely worn off when Hurricane Sandy

devastated much of the East Coast, including many parts of the New York metro region, including lower Manhattan. The new station, which was built below the original one, was completely flooded, destroying mechanical equipment such as switches and escalators. The MTA estimated when repairs began in 2013 that the work would cost $600 million, ABC7 reported. The old South Ferry station, part of the city’s original transit system,

is a bit unique as it only fits the first five cars of modern MTA subway trains, which consist of 10 cars. That means that the trains would travel along a loop to circle back uptown, and if you were on one of the rear five cars, you’d find yourself heading back uptown. The new station allowed modern trains to terminate at South Ferry, then head back uptown from the same platform, similar to how E trains operate at Chambers Street. NIKKI M. MASCALI

Why Knee Arthritis Sufferers Of Almost All Ages Are Opting For Newest Medical Procedures Before Surgery . . . Fraction of the cost, minimal risk and little to no downtime amongst top reasons By Matt Edgar America’s Health Writer New York City - Everyone has said it at one time or another. If I had only known about “this” sooner - things would be very different today. That’s what many knee arthritis pain sufferers are saying about this technology and treatment. “We all know that countless lives are being saved every year because of early detection and better treatment ” noted the clinic director at the NY Pain MD in New York City. “The same holds true for treating arthritis pain. I believe we are having so much success at NY Pain MD because of two factors: One is we are using advanced medical technology and treatments a lot of “If you have knee arthritis pain, viscosupplementation might be the answer you are looking for. The clinics do not use. And second, the word has keys are not wait, get a good evaluation from an expert and make sure precision arthritis targeting is spread to our community and so many knee used to make sure you have the best chance for success.” arthritis sufferers are coming in sooner. And the earlier we can treat knee arthritis the better the results. The key to trying to Can This Be Avoided? Total knee replacement is serious surgery avoid knee replacement surgery is doing the requiring months of rehabilitation. Some doctors think modern treatments correct treatment as soon as possibly” done early enough can keep baby boomers from going under the knife. What is the “correct treatment?” “That depends,” said the director. “There is no one answer when it comes to medical Normal Pain-Free Knee Joint conditions. nee arthritis is no different. That’s why some doctors feel early vis Research Shows Doctors Miss The Joint Space Up To 30% Of cosupplementation gets the best results and is The Time Without Advanced Imaging so important for avoiding surgery. The director believes one of the most important factors for the success of viscosupplementation is making sure you are getting it into the joint space precisely. That’s why the doctors at NY Pain MD use advanced imaging technology to apply Precision Arthritis Targeting during every treatment. A device called the "C-Arm" allows the doctor to see into the joint and actually watch the medicine be applied exactly where it is supposed to. Research shows that performing procedures without Precision Arthritis Targeting (P.A.T.T.)can result in missing the joint space as much as 30% of the time. If you had viscosupplementation treatments without Presision Arthritis Targeting Technology and did not get good results - this may be why.

Failed Treatment The injection (Lubrication medicine) misses the joint space. Research shows this occurs up to 30% of the time without the use of the digital imaging to guide the injection. This is why lubrication medicine may not have worked for you

Modern Doctor's FINALLY Offering These Special Treatments Right Here In New York City Hundreds of arthritis sufferers from tri state area calling weekly to find out if treatment is right for them.Often covered by insurance. If you qualify for this treatment, it might be one of the happiest days of your life. That’s because, for the past year and a half, hundreds NY Pain MD of knee pain sufferers have New York City. That’s when their specially trained-doctors added cutting-edge arthritis treatments to their already successful comphrensive knee pain relief program. Viscosupplementation is unique because - eventhough it is manufactured by a pharmaceutical company, it is NOT considered a drug because it is a natural substance with an incredible story.

Why So Many Want It You see, when you suffer with arthritis - the lubricatThis means instead of gliding smoothly - your bones start to rub and grind against each other. This causes a little pain in the beginning - but over time the pain steadily gets worse until it is excruciating.

Like “Joint Oil” Viscosupplementation works so well because it is like ‘joint oil.” It is a natural substance that contains one of the natural building blocks of the synovial fluid that lubricates your knee. Scientists and researchers discovered this natural building block to synovial fluid in the rooster’s comb - that big red thing on top of the roosters head. It is extracted from the roosters comb, purified and concentrated. They have also developed medical lubricants that are also natural but made a bit like yogurt and "cultured" into highly effective arthritis pain-fighting medical lubricants. When introduced directly into your knee joint, it is like squirting oil on a rusty door hinge. Viscosupplementation allows your joints to glide more smoothly eliminating a lot of the rubbing, grinding and pain.

Can Supplements Do The Same Thing? No. Glucosamine and chondroitin and other supplements are much different. You can only get this from a doctor and it often helps knee pain sufferers who got limited or no success from glucosamine and chondroitin. Beware of unsubstantiated claims made by supplements to do what this advanced medical procedure does.

Why You Should Try This Even If You’ve Already Had Similar Treatments Without Results... “We have been able to help so many knee pain sufferers even many who have already tried other treatments like Synvisc, Supartz, Orthovisc and even Hyalgan. This is because our treating doctors always use “Precision Arthritis Targeting Technology”. This allows us to place he Viscosupplementation exactly where is needs to be. Studies show doctors doing joint injections without echnology can miss the joint up to 30% of the time.” noted the Director of Center NY Pain MD is a state of the art medical facility offering nly the best technology.

Advanced Medical Technology Can Make All The Difference: T Ňuorososcopic imaging allows doctors to see directly into the knee joint so supposed to. Studies show that procedures done without this technology can miss the joint up to 30% of This is one reason NY Pain MD uses this P.A.T. Imaging Technology. with each and every treatment. And that’s not all “Every case is individual. Some patients get quite a bit of relief right away - others take a little more time. But most have been extremely happy. We’ve noted results lasting no less than 6 months for many but up to 2 years for some patients.. Patients who were suffering for years with bad knee pain are getting their lives back... going for walks again and exercising. It’s amazing to see. They tell all their friends - that’s why we are swarmed. After getting treatment and feeling better, many patients have decided to cancel their total knee replacement surgeries.” added the director.

Jellied sea creatures confound scientists and fishermen on the Pacific Coast No relation to jellyfish, they resemble bumpy, opaque pickles in the water, typically a few centimeters or inches long, though some grow 1 or 2 feet in length. Drifting throngs of jellylike, glowing organisms native to tropical seas far from shore have invaded Pacific coastal waters from Southern California to the Gulf of Alaska this year, baffling researchers and frustrating fishing crews. Known as pyrosomes, they are tubular colonies

of hundreds or thousands of tiny creatures called zooids, enmeshed together in a gelatinous tunic roughly the consistency of gummy bear candy. They feed by filtering microscopic algae, or phytoplankton, as they float with the current, and are known to glow in the dark — a bioluminescent characteristic that gives the organism its scientific name — pyrosoma, Greek for “fire body. Pyrosomes have rarely if ever been seen along the West Coast until 2012, when first spotted in California waters. Since then, they have gradually multiplied and spread north, before exploding in numbers this spring, according to scientists with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Although harmless to humans, they have been especially troublesome to the commercial salmon catch in Oregon, with large globs of the rubbery critters clogging fishing gear by the thousands in recent months. Some have even washed ashore. “It gets to a point where they’re so abundant, you can’t even fish out there, so you have to pick up your gear and move elsewhere, Nancy Fitzpatrick, executive director of the Oregon Salmon Commission, said Monday. Columbia River in late May scooped up roughly 60,000 pyrosomes, NOAA reported. Fishermen were also hit in southeastern Alaska, where some crews suspended operations earlier this year when pyrosome densities were at their height, said Aaron Baldwin, a fishery biologist for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game. “There were clouds of them in the water, he said. Karen Johnson, who fishes for halibut and tracks pyrosome reports on her Facebook page in Sitka, Alaska, said she has personally seen them glowing in a bucket of live specimens caught by her brother. “I stuck them in a dark room, and moved the water a little bit, and sure enough, they were bioluminescent, she told Reuters. Miranda Kerr loves herself some jewelry

Serena & Alexis’ rom-com-worthy meet cute Vanity Fair, a publication obsessed with having naked pregnant celebrity ladies on the cover, has the oral history of how the “seemingly mismatched” — their words — pairing of Serena Williams and fiancé Alexis Ohanian came to be. The year was 2015. The month was May. The place? Rome, duh. At the Cavalieri Hotel, Williams and her minientourage of three sat down to order breakfast. Then Ohanian came down to have breakfast too and sat down at the table next to Serena — even though many, many other tables were free. Sounds like a

Kim finally named North’s puppy In utterly fascinating news, Kim Kardashian has decided on a name for daughter North West’s new puppy. Exciting! On June 17, the 36-year-old revealed that she had gotten sister puppies for North and her niece Penelope — daughter of Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick. “Penelope named hers Honey,” she wrote on her Instagram. “What should we name ours?” This question proved difficult for the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star. So on Tuesday, she pleaded with her

Australian model and former bornagain virgin Miranda Kerr has handed over $8.1 million of jewelry that U.S. authorities say was given to her as part of a Malaysian money-laundering scheme. Oh, dear. Apparently, Kerr, 34, was gifted the jewelry in 2014 by Jho Low, a financier and maybe former flame — who is embroiled in a

I mean, “The Longest Ride”? Come on.

Anyway, Tyson took part in a questionnaire with Uproxx, and there are some gems. He loves Migos! If he had to choose between cats and dogs, he’d choose tigers! FILM

17

Reasons ‘Baby Driver’ is the summer’s best big movie Arriving like the cavalry to save the depressingly franchise-heavy season, the latest from Edgar Wright stars Ansel Elgort as a young getaway driver who’s also an ear buds-addicted audiophile. Here are five ways the movie, out today, goes against the modern blockbuster grain to come out on top. MATT PRIGGE

1 It’s the rare action-comedy that works

Action and comedy are two great things that, we’d argue, rarely go well together. Ramp up the comedy, and suddenly we’re not taking the action seriously; ramp up the action, and suddenly things aren’t so funny anymore. Edgar Wright has always been more about comedy than action; “Hot Fuzz” is a loving action parody, whose genuinely thrilling moments are framed by giant quotation marks. With “Baby Driver,” he loses those quotation marks. But amazingly, the comedy still hurts. His action scenes are visceral rushes, but they also find time for visual gags. And it gets to the heart of what makes action, when done right, so thrilling: We’re laughing because we’re excited.

It’s by a real director 2allowed to do his thing Recently, “21 Jump Street” and “The Lego Movie” directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller were fired from the Han Solo spin-off movie for being too them. Let’s hope they make like Edgar Wright, who four years ago walked off “Ant-Man” due to creative differences with Marvel. The movie he made instead, “Baby Driver,” is 100 percent uncut Edgar Wright. It’s filled with all the things he loves, quick with a joke and quick with action. In other words, it feels like it was made by one particular person. This is the film you’d show to today’s studio execs when you tell them that gifting filmmakers with final cut is not something you forbid.

3 It has a killer soundtrack

One of “Drivers’” main hooks is that Elgort’s Baby insists on doing his getaway gigs with his ear buds in, cranking up a carefully selected song timed right down to the second. And so we get The Damned. T. Rex. Dave Brubeck. Barry White. Boards of Canada. Deep-cut Blur. This doesn’t only make the scenes more exciting; it gives each one its own flair, its own personality. Even when Wright uses a song for nonchase-scene purposes — as when Baby flirts with a diner waitress (Lily James) by playing her Beck’s “Debra” — the moment is transcendent. Sound is something few viewer’s pay attention to, but Wright forces you to listen.

Jamie Foxx is no fan of getaway motorist Ansel Elgort in Edgar Wright’s “Baby Driver.” COLUMBIA PICTURES

4 It doesn’t play nice

Movies are way too nice these days. “Baby Driver” isn’t always nice. It has a good heart, with a likeable lead; Baby only wants to get out of the crime business, but they (or at least a kingpin played by Kevin Spacey) keep pulling him back in. His attempts to get out for good, with his new ladyfriend in tow, isn’t easy. It involves fighting Spacey, as well as fellow criminals, including a hothead (Jamie Foxx) and a cokehead played by a winningly against-type Jon Hamm. There are unexpected deaths; there are shocking plot twists. It’s the kind of movie big studio execs would ruin through too many notes. But Wright didn’t make this for a big studio.

“I found my friend slumped on her bed turning blue. She couldn’t breathe. I ran to get my naloxone and gave it to her. I thought she was dead. When she came to, she didn’t know what had happened or why I was crying. I’m glad I had naloxone. It gave her a second chance.” ~Will, Brooklyn

NALOXONE is an emergency medicine that prevents overdose death from prescription painkillers and heroin. To find out more about naloxone and where to get it, call 311 or visit nyc.gov/health/naloxone. If you need help or referral to treatment call, 888-NYC-Well.

5 It doesn’t need a sequel

It’s depressing to talk about movies this way — that we even have to address the possibility of spin-offs and sequels and franchises. It cheapens a film that stands on its own just fine. It also reminds us how few big movies these days are rewatchable. Instead, most Marvel movies are forgettable, to be replaced by some forthcoming sequel or fellow Cinematic Universe entry. So much of their running times are eaten up with setting up future installments or following up on plot threads planted in previous outings. They live primarily in the past or the future; they rarely live in the present. “Baby Driver” is all about the present, and it’s so jam-packed with goodness that it does what all truly great movies do: It makes us want to see it again as soon as possible.

Debi Mazar is the spitfire that shakes up every production. The 52-year-old actress, whom you might know as Vincent Chase’s blunt publicist Shauna on “Entourage, or Henry Hill’s smart-mouthed, cokesnorting girlfriend Sandy in “Goodfellas, brings her signature attitude and charm to the role of Maggie on “Younger. On the TV Land comedy, filmed in Williamsburg, the NYC native plays Liza’s (Sutton Foster) best friend and roommate, an older, lesbian artist, probably the only real grown-up on the show. Although it was Maggie’s idea that Liza lie about her age (40, not 26) to get her job in publishing, Mazar says it was a necessary fib. “You gotta hustle in life. It’s New York, she explains. “[Liza] has a teenager in college! She’s got a deadbeat ex-husband who gambled away the money. She’s trying to get a job. Who cares if she lies? When we chat, GETTY

the Windsor Terrace resident is headed to Ireland to film the “Younger season four finale. She lets us in on the fact that it’s going to be “dramatic: At the close of season three, Liza came clean about her real age to her other bestie, Kelsey (Hilary Duff), and season four, out tonight, is about the repercussions. “The truth’s coming out, Mazar says. “Liza’s been spinning her little web, and things are starting to unravel.

How is the Brooklyn depicted in the show different from the Brooklyn that you know? I don’t live the Brooklyn life that’s on the show. I’m not a hipster, I’m a mom. I stay home, I run my errands, I see my friends. On the show, I get to do that. They’ll say, “You’re not in the next two scenes, so I’ll get two hours in Williamsburg. I take myself out for lunch, I go to little shops. I feel like I’m on location in a different country, almost.

This season, the Kellyanne Conway-esque pundit (Kristin Chenoweth) is pitching a book that’s basically about alternative facts. Is “Younger getting political? Not at all. She’s not like Kellyanne Conway, she’s like Kristin Chenoweth. The reason “Younger is a success is because it’s not about politics. We don’t need anything more about politics. If you want that, turn CNN on. [“Younger] is light, refreshing fun.

What makes “Younger relatable? What women tell me is that they’ve been through exactly the same thing. They took some time off or had kids and then tried to come back to work. It’s an experience that I, as an actress, have somewhat felt in aging, but I have always managed to work. I’m like, “OK, I can’t be bitter. I keep my chin up and say, “F— everybody, I’m gonna own it and figure it out. I think some of my best roles are yet to come. This show is very pro-women. I’d like to see more color in the show, quite frankly, but [my character] seems to have affairs with mostly black and Latin women, so I’m responsible for bringing some color. [Laughs] Season four of “Younger premieres tonight at 10 p.m. on TV Land.

Rangers will rely on free agency While their division improves, the Blueshirts have to wait for free agency to make their moves. JOE PANTORNO @JoePantorno

joseph.pantorno@metro.us

There has been no shortage of wheeling and dealing around the NHL throughout the last week or so since the Vegas expansion draft. But the New York Rangers have been generally quiet despite making some notable transactions. Veteran defenseman Dan Girardi’s contract was bought out before New York dealt forward Derek Stepan and goalie Antti Raanta to the Arizona Coyotes for the No. 7 pick of last Friday’s NHL draft and defenseman Anthony DeAngelo. With that pick, the

Rangers selected forward Lias Andersson, one of the highest-rated European skaters in the 2017 draft class. While it’s a solid addition, the rest of the Metropolitan Division is improving by leaps and bounds. On the trade front, the Islanders acquired Jordan Eberle from the Edmonton Oilers and the Columbus Blue Jackets picked up Artemi Panarin from the Chicago Blackhawks. In the draft, the New Jersey Devils selected Nico Hischier with the first pick while the Philadelphia Flyers’ consolation was the explosive Nolan Patrick. Of course, this is being added to a division that already contains the Washington Capitals and the two-time defending Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins. The clock is ticking for the Rangers to go out

and make something happen, or else they are going to be left behind in hockey’s toughest division. Lucky for them, the moves they made freed up over $20 million worth of cap space that can be used on the freeagent market, which opens July 1. The largest need for the team is for a top-tier defenseman that can take some pressure off goaltender Henrik Lundqvist. They also are desperate for a quarterback of the power play, which was a train wreck during the postseason. Kevin Shattenkirk fits both of those needs as the heavy-shooting right-hander is one of the top prizes to be had on the free-agent market. He also grew up in New Rochelle idolizing Brian Leetch and the Rangers. Can’t get much of a better fit than that. But there is also an

These are troubling times in the Bronx, even if the New York Yankees are somehow still in first place in the AL East. Monday night’s 6-5 win over the Chicago White Sox provided a rare triumph in a stretch that has seen the Pinstripes win just three of their last 13 games. The injury bug has made its way from Queens over to Yankee Stadium as the Yankees have seen CC Sabathia, Aaron Hicks, Starlin Castro and Adam Warren all go down with injuries. Before Monday’s game, Yankees general manager Brian Cashman spoke with 98.7 ESPN Radio where he talked about the return of Jacoby Ellsbury and the possibility of some new faces joining the team. “So getting him [Ellsbury] back will help.

Due to Starlin Castro’s injury, the Yankees recalled Tyler Wade. GETTY IMAGES

And we’ve got a couple more kids we’re going to have to consider coming up at some point if it can help us. Tyler Wade got the call-up on Tuesday morning to help fill the void of losing Castro. He batted .313 with a .390 on-base percentage and 24 stolen bases in 71 games with triple-A Scranton/ Wilkes-Barre. Outfielders Clint Frazier and Dustin Fowler could join him soon

with Hicks out. Each player has hit 12 home runs while Fowler has one more RBI (42) in one less game played (69) compared to Frazier. On the mound, Caleb Smith, Chance Adams and Domingo Acevedo might get a look at a jump to the big leagues. Smith has been electrifying this season with a 6-0 record, 2.25 ERA and 72 strikeouts in 76 innings pitched. JOE PANTORNO

Who could the Mets sell this summer? The Mets’ once-promising 2017 campaign has been a disaster. It’s time for the team to sell. But who goes?

MATT HARVEY Harvey’s value on the trade market is probably so low right now that the Mets would most likely scoff at the offers that came their way if they were to make him available. A fractured relationship with the club, injuries and poor performances on the mound will only push Harvey toward leaving when he becomes a free agent in two years. The Mets should start fielding offers now.

With Cabrera’s contract up at the end of the season, the Mets should find a way to get something in return for him before he walks in free agency.

CURTIS GRANDERSON

The streaky power hitter has proven unreliable at the dish and at the doctor’s office. But an American League team that is looking for pop at first base would love to give Duda a chance, especially if that team has a short right field porch. Hmm, I think there’s one of those teams across town.

If there is anyone that doesn’t deserve to be traded, it’s Granderson. The consummate professional has represented the Mets fantastically during his tenure here. However, he’s not doing the team any good as a fourth outfielder and could be dealt to a contender that needs some added power near either end of their lineup.

LUCAS DUDA

ASDRUBAL CABRERA The shortstop has made it known that he wants to be traded due to the Mets playing him at second base. Given the way his season has been going with injuries, it might not be easy for the Mets to send him off. New York also might not want to deal him because he is their most valuable available infielder right now with Neil Walker being injured and Jose Reyes having the worst season of his career.

JOE PANTORNO @JoePantorno

NYU School of Medicine is seeking adult volunteers to participate in a research study evaluating the effectiveness of medications in reducing alcohol use.

Eligible participants will receive treatment at no cost and be seen at Bellevue Hospital Center. Compensation will be provided for time and travel.

JAY BRUCE Bruce has been one of the Mets’ most important bats throughout this tumultuous season, which could only drive his trade value up for a team looking for a rental around the trade deadline. Look for a team in the midst of a playoff push to come asking about him.

Aries Just because you are a pioneer doesn’t mean that you must indulge in every new thing. Careful consideration will spare you angst and unnecessary costs.

Libra Welcome changes that will make your life easier, but make sure you can afford the updates before you begin. Lowering your personal expenses will ease stress.

Taurus Help the ones you love. What you do will be well received and will put you in high regard. A business expense should be monitored closely.

Scorpio Being honest about your feelings will lead to answers to problems that have been causing you stress. Taking a short trip or doing fact-finding is in your best interest.

Gemini Keep your emotions under control and your mind focused on the changes you can bring about. Don’t count on someone to give you sound advice.

Sagittarius Emotions will surface. Don’t dodge issues or offer false information just to spare someone’s feelings. Honesty is a priority and should not be ignored.

Cancer Know your limitations and refrain from taking on too much or overspending. Stick to tried-and-true means and methods, and avoid confusion.

Capricorn Sign up for an activity that will broaden your mind or offer innovative life philosophies that will help you keep a positive attitude and set appropriate goals.

Leo Look over your financial and personal papers carefully. Don’t give anyone access to your passwords or information that might be used against you.

Aquarius Joint ventures will not turn out as anticipated. Make sure you read the fine print of any deal. Don’t trust what someone tells you regarding money or legal matters.

Virgo Your instincts will not be wrong when dealing with partnerships or those you love. Express your thoughts and don’t overdo it, overspend or put up with excessive people.

Pisces Get involved in events that address issues that concern you. Children will have an impact on your life, offering a different perspective on a situation. EUGENIA LAST
