On the cover. In 1925, the cotton crop in Oklahoma was cashed in at $157 million. Oklahoma City’s position astride nine railroads made it a hub for transporting agricultural products in the region and the city featured a cotton compress (for making denser, easily transported bales) and a cotton oil mill. But it was also home to the Cotton Exchange on the southeast corner of Harvey and Second (now Kerr). Oklahoma City dealers would buy and sell millions of bales to mills around the country and the world. (Photo by Andrew A. Forbes (1862-1921) 1

LARGE PRINT Where Angels Go

Where Do I Go?

Three irresistible angels, Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy, love their assignments on Earth, and love helping people who send their prayer requests to Heaven. Mercy is assigned to bring peace of mind to an elderly man. Goodness is sent to oversee the love life of a young woman afraid to risk commitment a second time. And Shirley has the task of granting a little boy’s fondest wish. INSP

With much trepidation Gabby Fairbanks moves to Chicago to accommodate her husband, Phillip’s business ambitions. She finds an opportunity that could give her life meaning again. Manna House Women’s Shelter needs a program director, and Gabby has a degree in social work. She feels God’s call on her life, but Philip doesn’t like the changes and gives her an ultimatum: quit or risk divorce and losing custody of their sons.
