Spring is the time for Charity events are back in full swing, new beginnings and and we include photos from the recent new possibilities. Heart Gallery’s Be Mine event held at the Palma Ceia Country Club and the Dreammaker’s Luncheon that honored the Founder of the Children’s Dream Fund, Cynthia Lake Farrell. We are certainly glad to be out and supporting so many worthy causes. In METROPeople, we had the chance to interview Christine Barone, CEO of True Food Kitchen, that graduated from Plant High School, and is thrilled to finally bring the 40th location of the restaurant to Midtown Tampa.

In METRO’s Home + Design issue, we future the home of McCord and Katie Christensen that have a stunning West Indies inspired home on Bayshore Blvd. in Tampa. The home was created by Cooper Johnson Smith architects, and when the couple moved from just a few homes down, interior designers Andrea Lundy and Christina Harcar with A. Label Interiors helped transform the interior into a home that is comfortable for the family, and ideal for entertaining. A simple change of lighting can make a big impact on a room, and we see the latest options in Home Trend by Clayton Gray Homes.

We go high in the sky in downtown Tampa and peek inside a chic and modern condo at the Towers of Channelside, sold by realtor Craig Kincheloe and designed by Chelsea Potthast of Potthast Design.

We’ve always known that Tampa Bay has a thriving culinary scene and great city for start-up restaurants. With customers wanting healthier dining options, writer Mary Lou Janson found four restaurants in Tampa Bay and the Art of Eating Well, that have taken their menus including plant-based concepts to a new level.

Let me know what you would like to see in the upcoming issues. We are always open for ideas and input from our loyal readers. Enjoy this great weather and hope to see you out and about town.

Cheers,
