SPRING PLANTING Gardeners can discover tips for starting seeds in trays for spring planting with the UC Master Gardeners of Santa Clara County. Learn information about seeds, tips for best results and use of containers, pots and tools. The UC Master Gardener vegetable seed chart of what to sow now will also be covered. Attendees are advised to dress comfortably for outdoors, bring gloves and be ready for hands-on sowing. There is no cost to attend. WINE & CHOCOLATE Solis Winery’s Gourmet Wine and Chocolate event is back by popular demand. The event includes five specialty chocolates paired with five different Solis wines. FULL MOON VIEWING The Open Space Authority will host a family-friendly viewing of February’s full moon. Participants will take a gentle 1.2-mile walk around the preserve’s Aquila Loop Trail, and watch the full moon rise over the eastern foothills. Participants are advised to bring warm clothes, a flashlight and drinking water or hot chocolate to drink. Rain or heavy clouds will cancel. VALENTINE’S DINNER SHOW Couples are invited to a Valentine’s Day dinner and musical performance at Granada Theatre. Guests will savor a three-course dinner and experience a musical performance by Michael Bublé tribute artist Scott Keo. COMMUNITY FORUM BREAKFAST The public is invited to the inaugural Community Forum Breakfast, presented by Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley and Gilroy community leaders. HOMEBUYERS WORKSHOP Learn how to become a first-time homebuyer in Santa Clara County at the new Empower Homebuyers SCC Program workshop. Funded by the 2016 Measure A Affordable Housing Bond, this program provides down payment assistance loans to first-time homebuyers.
