SPRING PLANTING Gardeners can discover tips for starting seeds in trays for spring planting with the UC Master Gardeners of Santa Clara County. Learn information about seeds, tips for best results and use of containers, pots and tools. The UC Master Gardener vegetable seed chart of what to sow now will also be covered. Attendees are advised to dress comfortably for outdoors, bring gloves and be ready for hands-on sowing. There is no cost to attend. WINE & CHOCOLATE Solis Winery’s Gourmet Wine and Chocolate event is back by popular demand. The event includes five specialty chocolates paired with five different Solis wines. FULL MOON VIEWING The Open Space Authority will host a family-friendly viewing of February’s full moon. Participants will take a gentle 1.2-mile walk around the preserve’s Aquila Loop Trail, and watch the full moon rise over the eastern foothills. Participants are advised to bring warm clothes, a flashlight and drinking water or hot chocolate to drink. Rain or heavy clouds will cancel. VALENTINE’S DINNER SHOW Couples are invited to a Valentine’s Day dinner and musical performance at Granada Theatre.
