WELCOME TO THE 10 TH EDITION OF BANGLADESH DENIM EXPO
I
The 10th Edition marks five years of us hosting the Expo; five years that have seen the Expo gain international recognition and have seen dramatic changes within the Bangladesh RMG industry – now established as the second largest garment manufacturing hub globally and recognized for advances in compliant and sustainable manufacture. This season the Expo has the theme is CIRCULARITY and it is our objective to enable discussion that will generate new thoughts and practices on

The garment industry is one of the leading contributors to the rapid deterioration of our environment, that is unsustainable for the future. At Bangladesh Denim Expo we believe that the denim industry must adapt and instil the key principles of circularity throughout the product life cycle: Design of product for longevity, considering resource efficiency, biodegradability and recyclability. Produce efficiently, ethically and with regard for the environment. Wherever possible reuse, recycle, repurpose any waste product. Communicate and collaborate with end consumers to promote long product life and product care.
establishing a more circular denim industry, for the benefit of the environment and society as a whole. We will be running a series of seminar & workshop sessions during the two days of the Expo, supporting the CIRCULARITY theme, together with our specifically curated TREND ZONE area and SUSTAINABILITY CORNER, showcasing sustainable initiatives from Bangladesh manufacturers and denim mills.
By instigating change in the whole process of the supply chain, from design, through to production, transportation and communication with consumers, the denim industry can work towards a more sustainable, circular business model for the future.
I would like to wish you all a successful and informative Expo, and would like to personally thank you for your continued support, without which hosting this event would not be possible. I trust that you will enjoy the event, and I look forward to seeing you in person over the two days of the event.

Bangladesh Denim Expo are very proud to be promoting our nation and have developed a new entrance tunnel for our 10th edition, to welcome visitors and exhibitors to the event. The tunnel will feature images of iconic sites in Bangladesh and highlight the nation’s achievements in developing sustainable initiatives that have transformed the Bangladesh garment industry of today!
For this edition of Bangladesh Denim Expo we have made every effort to both control the amount of waste created in organizing the event and to promote this season’s theme of CIRCULARITY. Our new exhibitor booth concept consists of cardboard tubes, used as fabric rolls and reclaimed from local denim companies, mounted within a repurposed wooden frame and with repurposed wooden flooring.
