MR MICHAEL T. FRALIX, PH.D. President and CEO, [TC]² Technology Evangelist SoftWear Automation
Dr. Mike Fralix has worked in a variety of capacities at [TC]² and has provided guidance to hundreds of companies around the world. With 40 years of experience in manufacturing, research and development, and operations and corporate management, he leads [TC]²’s initiatives to develop next-generation supply chain technologies, and works with companies to implement currently available technologies and business processes. In May of 2017 Dr. Fralix accepted an assignment with SoftWear Automation in Atlanta, Georgia to help promote the use of robotic automation for the Sewn Products Industry. Their SewbotsTM technology was created at Georgia Tech and Dr. Fralix served on the Advisory Board during its development. SoftWear Automation gave him the title of Technology Evangelist and has asked him to help implement the technology globally. In addition to overseeing [TC]²’s strategic direction and working with SoftWear Automation, Dr. Fralix speaks globally on a variety of topics and helps deliver programs and services to the fashion industry. These topics include 3D product development, sizing for fit, virtual dressing, online shopping, additive manufacturing, re-shoring, lean systems, sustainable technologies, robotics and automation, and the digital supply chain. He holds BS degrees in Applied Mathematics and Philosophy from North Carolina State University, an MBA from Duke University and a Ph.D. in Technology Management from N.C. State University. In 2009, he was appointed an Adjunct Associate Professor at N.C. State University. In 2012, he was named Distinguished Alumnus of the Year for the NCSU College of Textiles. Dr. Fralix is also active in several industry organizations. He is a member of the Board of Directors of: AAFA-American Apparel & Footwear Assoc., AFMA-American Fiber Manufacturers Assoc., SPESA-Sewn Products Equipment and Suppliers of the Americas, IAF-International Apparel Federation, CCAA-Caribbean-Central American Action, AAFA Education Foundation, YMA-Fashion Scholarship Fund, and the Georgia Soft Goods Education Foundation. He was recognized as a Thought Leader at the OIA (Outdoor Industry Association) Thought Leader’s Dinner in January 2013.

Richard is the current CEO of innovation, product development and technology licensing company T H E U N S E E N where he is responsible for developing and executing the company’s growth strategy and mission statement, “changing the way, the world uses colour”. Prior to the T H E U N S E E N, Richard was with Accenture Strategy where he worked as a Project Manager, leading global, multi-disciplinary teams of management consultants focused on merger and acquisition (buy and sell side), corporate strategy and technology strategy projects for FTSE 100 corporations and private equity firms across industries such as investment and retail banking, high technology, retail, consumer goods and industrial. During this time, Richard notably took a secondment to work with Martha Lane-Fox (board member at Twitter) to set up the UK’s first charity focused on bringing socially disadvantaged people online. Before his career in management consulting, Richard worked for an early growth stage technology start-up, providing software-as-a-service solutions to local government and healthcare organisations – he worked across sales, marketing and operations in various roles.
