“What would happen if you turn to other than Allah?” (By Aamirah Syed) What do you think happens when you depend On other people, exception to your kin? Or those of us who think they know what to do When in reality they’re just as clueless as you? The answer to this question is crystal and clear But if you are not listening you will not hear You’ll feel neglected and rejected and oppressed and sad And everything you thought was good is now turning bad. Your people disappoint you, curse you and hurt you And in the end you find them deserting you When in the back of your mind you find that Allah was the only one you should have turned to. Allah is the only one, we all sing Allah is the one and peace he will bring No one in the world can tell you otherwise And anyone who tries will meet their demise. He is the only one we depend on He gives us the strength and courage to strive on And in the end we all know we can live on. He is all I need. Dependent on indeed. My dependence song.
