Jaylin Randolph The Bio Jaylin Randolph, a Lynchburg, Virginia native, is a locally known music artist in Central Virginia. Although some may not recognize him for his given name, many recognize Jaylin for his stage name: JiggyM. Jaylin's brand and persona as a rapper, entertainer, and entrepreneur is known for it's promotion of unity and positivity which has led to his success as an innovative leader and content creator for various communities in Lynchburg and surrounding areas.

One of Jaylin's many sections of his brand: H.i.L.i.F. (Here I Live In Fun)* works alongside major organizations such as The Lynchburg Community Market, Lynchburg Beacon of Hope, and Lynchburg City Schools. Jaylin has created multiple different campaigns with these organizations and H.i.L.i.F. to target specific audiences such as youth and their families in promoting healthy living & eating, positive decision making, and preparation for higher education.

Jaylin continually strives to entertain and teach us with his character, JiggyM ,which has become a major influencer in today's local Virginian communities. Always looking to make the world a better place, JiggyM finds a way to put a smile on his audience's face.

Jaylin & Jiggy Whether you know him as Jaylin Randolph or JiggyM; both Jaylin and Jiggy are one in the same. While Jaylin is the mastermind behind his creative content, JiggyM has become the face to his brand. "Jaylin is the reason the moment exists because he is the one who creates them. It's him handling the tedious day to day work that allows JiggyM to enjoy his time." It wasn't always JiggyM that became the duality of Jaylin's persona. Growing up Jaylin was known as Jay Rock. (That's what his Uncles used to call him.) But when he sat with his friends on his front porch in eleventh grade he found his official name. "I was with my friends on the porch rappin' and I decided I wanted something different, something new. " After a couple of tries on online name generators; JiggyM was born! "I tried the first time and it came up with Jiggy something, and I was like 'nah don't like that' so I did it again and it came up with something Murda and I thought 'Ahh! That's it: Jiggy Murda.'"

But the changes didn't stop there, obviously. Jaylin started creating his music, which became a serious part of his life, and with that, his music took on a serious tone. He started creating content that would appeal to a wide range audience. He wasn't looking for any limitations to his music career and so he made the final change to his brand which is now JiggyM. "Jiggy M was born because I knew that people weren't going to take me seriously if my name was Jiggy Murda. So that's how the change came about, simply because I wanted to be taken seriously."
Even though JiggyM has become the new serious name to Jaylin's brand, JiggyM continues to promote a energetic, positive and amusing lifestyle through his music and entertaining short videos which can sometimes be described as anything but serious. All in all, Jaylin and Jiggy share the same outlooks on life, content, and career. "Both Jaylin and Jiggy share the same goals: to make an amazing difference in any way that we can and to inspire others to do the same."

Making Memories Through Music

Why do we listen to music? The motive is constantly changing whether it be we want to aid or suppress an emotion we have, get ourselves hyped up to go to the gym, or even just get lost in the moment. There are different playlists for our moods and actions as we go about our every day lives. Music artists keep these motives in mind all the time when creating so that they can reach their desired audience by simply asking themselves questions like "What do I want my audience to feel or experience when listening to my sound?" or "What am I trying to accomplish when I create my music?"
For Jaylin, his music is meant to make memories! "I want the music I make to be moments in life for my listeners," says Jaylin, "I want it [my music] to be a window of nostalgia."

Jaylin's sounds are unique in the fact that they are meant to represent a moment in time that can have a personalized message to the listener. He is constantly creating memories for his audience to either reflect on or make in the moment. "I make memories [with my music], whether it be a memory of a loved one, a loss, or just having a good time."
You may be wondering, what do 'moments in time' sound like? Jaylin describes his sound as a mixture of multiple different genres and styles of music, because you can't just have one! "If we are talking about production, imagine Funk mixed with Afro Beat, Trap, Reggae, and Punk. Then I put my goofy face in front of it. That's my music."
For some, that might be a lot to imagine...mixing together multiple music genres into a unique sound almost resembles being a master chef! But why read when you could listen? Let the music speak for itself. Let it inspire you and create new memories. [see next page]

Catching a Vibe
With a big brand comes big influence! Jaylin looks to a wide range of artists, memories, and family in order to create. His mom, being his biggest supporter, is one of the reasons why he creates. "She designed all of my sauce. She's annoying as hell, but she's the reason I'm the man I am today." Certain artists such as Pharrell Williams, Timbaland, Childish Gambino, Tyler the Creator, and Tupac are only a few of the many music artists that inspire the sound and personality of JiggyM, but it's the moments in life that are Jaylin's biggest motive to create. "My biggest influence is life! I draw so much from experiences and that's what fuels the way that I make music and design my media."

"I am heavily passionate about communications and social media," says Jaylin, "it's the newest way that we are all taking in and retaining information." Jaylin always takes the internet, especially social media, into account when creating his campaigns and events. "I always organize what I am doing with keeping social media in mind. One of the intentions behind all of my projects is to make them go viral and reach a massive audience." Social media not only provides a creative outlet for artists, like Jaylin, in order for them to express themselves and share their content, but it also provides the viewer an experience that can be catered towards their personal likes and beliefs. "With the brand that I created, social media was the quickest way to express it, and that's where everything that I do has stemmed from; and that is where it will grow from." We, as viewers, and participants of the virtual world, are able to access multitudes of various content that can create a sort of sense of "community" or provoke us emotionally and physically just by watching a video or streaming music. It is because of factors like these, Jaylin tries to make his content reflect the emotions that his viewers are feeling. "In order to reach out to an audience you have to connect with them more than just being a face on a screen."

#SHOWLOVE CAMPAIGN The Show Love Campaign, inspired by early 2000's hip hop artists, gives an ode to the authenticity and originality which came with their style and music. A collaborative project with Blackwater Branding [Nikos Hawkins] and Opportunity Lynchburg, Jaylin launched a video project which started off as a way to highlight Virginia tourism (showcasing places around Lynchburg such as The Virginian Hotel, Speakertree, and of course, the Virginia Love Sign: all located in downtown Lynchburg). Eventually what started off small, developed into a something much more; as most of Jaylin's projects tend to do. Show Love has worked to give credit to Lynchburg Small Business Owners and it's community members while giving a special thanks and mentions first responders and essential workers at this time during the pandemic. Not only has #showlove been spreading the joy of being a Virginian, but it has also worked as a fundraiser to aid The Community Kitchen (a program ran by LOJMinistries) a program created in order to helpfeed low-income families.

SHOW LOVE AND WE SHOW IT BACK The Show Love Campaign is only a small part of Jaylin's work in helping out his community. He donates a lot of his time to giving back to the city he grew up in. "I volunteer when needed and I partner with organizations to give back to the youth. I was a kid who grew up in this community and had no outlets; I never felt like there
