ABOUT THE PROGRAM • • • •

Approximately 300 students perform in one of the three ensembles. Rehearsals are held on Saturdays from late August through early May. Students entering grades 7-12 may audition. Auditions are held in May for the coming year. Recorded auditions are accepted for those who are unable to audition in person. • All CYWS members must take private lessons on their instrument and participate in their school music programs.

For more info, audition requirements and tuition costs, visit cim.edu/cyws or call 216.791.5000, ext. 3. CYWS members who take private lessons at CIM (University Circle, Shaker Heights, Chagrin Falls or Westlake) save on their total tuition – ask for details.

CLEVELAND Youth Wind Symphonies The most talented woodwind, brass and percussion students in Northeast Ohio perform as members of the Cleveland Youth Wind Symphonies (CYWS) each year. The three ensembles rehearse weekly at CIM’s main campus and Case Western Reserve University’s Denison Hall, both conveniently located in Cleveland’s beautiful University Circle neighborhood. CYWS gives many concerts throughout the school year, including showcase performances with other elite wind ensembles and collaborations with CWRU’s bands, and tours regularly to international locations, including Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Australia, Spain, France and England.
