SATO CENTER for Suzuki Studies Violin | Viola | Cello | Bass | Piano

Introduce your child to violin, viola, cello, double bass or piano with the Suzuki method, where children learn music the way they learned to talk – through listening, imitation, repetition and encouragement. Students across all levels embrace the philosophy of lifelong learning, engaging in private lessons, group and theory classes, recitals and workshops. All Sato Center instrumental teachers are certified by the Suzuki Association of the Americas. Director Kimberly Meier-Sims is also a registered teacher trainer — Dr. Shinichi Suzuki with more than 35 years of experience introducing young children to the joys of music making. New students should consult with their teacher before renting or purchasing a string instrument to ensure the instrument is the correct size.

Every child has unlimited potential.

CIM’s Suzuki teachers also recommend enrolling your child in a eurhythmics class to improve their sense of rhythm and complement their study of music theory. Students enrolled in CIM’s Suzuki program can add eurhythmics for a discount – ask for details.

For more information, date of the next open house and tuition rates, please visit cim.edu/suzuki or call 216.791.5000, ext. 3. Suzuki private lessons are held at CIM’s Shaker Heights location or main campus in University Circle. Virtual lessons are also available. Other Suzuki instruction and performances take place at the main campus.

“ Over the last three years in the Suzuki program I have watched my son grow in the most important ways. His confidence, his empathy and his overall creativity have blossomed. The teachers encourage risk-taking and provide a nurturing, warm environment to feel safe to do so. The group classes teach my son teamwork, instilling camaraderie and cooperation. It has also continued to foster his love of music, something that he will carry with him throughout his life.” – Elizabeth Vokes
