Crossover Hockey branding

Currently, there are very few brands that address the inline hockey market. Many players use ice hockey equipment that can be bulky and uncomfortable in warmer environments. Crossover brings a new line of equipment built for the serious inline hockey player.

Clean-Bag System I.H.A. Competition

This project was done for the International Housewares Assoc. annual student design competition. My product solves the problem of smelly athletic bags by organizing the items stored in the bag and using various fiber technologies to absorb and prevent odor.

Design

mhuntr4@gmail.com

The Problem The main issue with gym bags was odor. Also the bags are used to transport clean and dirty items. These items include everything from cell phones to hygiene products.

Ideation Discouraging neglected dirty clothing was extremely important to the design. This issue was resolved by adding wash bags in which dirty clothing could be placed then thrown into the washer. The earliest development focused on separating clean and dirty clothes. An external pocket was added to fit this need. An internal pocket was added to hide valuables. M

Final Model The Cocona fabric system absorbs odor and moisture. To improve sanitation dirty clothes are stored externally in separate pocket. The bag also uses separate mesh bags that go directly into the washer. The final design is sling-style and contains 1 large main pocket with hidden security pocket, 1 external clothes pocket and a beverage pocket M

Itti Toy Design

‘Designer toy’ is a term used to describe toys and other collectibles that are produced in limited editions (as few as 50 or as many as 2000 pieces) and created by artists and designers. This project shows character development and the creation of one of these toys.

Hyper-React Senior Thesis

Kids begin sports at a young age. Parents pay a great deal of money to support their child’s exploration in sports. This curiosity leads to children trying and quitting various sports and leaves their parents paying for equipment that may only be used one season. My thesis creates a modular pad system in which the pads are rented and returned each season during this exploration.

M

Hunter

Industrial

Design

mhuntr4@gmail.com

The Problem Parents spend anywhere from several hundred to several thousands of dollars on their child’s sports activities. The contact sports of Hockey, Football, and Lacrosse are the most expensive due to the large amount of equipment needed.
