The 2014 Summer Camp will begin its 88th summer (before there was a school there was a camp!) on Monday, June 9, 2014. We will continue through Friday, Aug. 1. The Opening Ceremonies/Camper and Parent Orientation will take place in the Garner Center Thursday, June 5 at 6:30 p.m. We will not have camp on Friday, July 4.

Camp Hours

Camp begins each day with the morning blast-off at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 3:45 p.m. Drop-off is from 8:40 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and pick-up is from 3:50 p.m. to 4:10 p.m.. Parents simply drop off the campers with our staff and pick them up at the end of the day. No need for our moms and dads to even unbuckle their seatbelts! Campers who want to be dropped off earlier or picked up later for a little more fun can participate in Playhouse 90. Early drop-off is 7:30 a.m. and late pick-up is 6:30 p.m. If, for whatever reason, a camper is not picked up by 4:10 p.m., he or she will be taken to Playhouse 90 for supervision. A $15 Playhouse 90 fee will be charged.

After an exciting and successful year in 2013, our new Camp Director Carroll Kelly is thrilled to be back for a second year. She is looking forward to celebrating her passions – summer, fun, and children – for another exciting camp season!

“ It was the best summer ever! Extremely well organized, amazing activities and great energy throughout the camp. You couldn’t have asked for anything better. We can’t wait to do it all over again in 2014! - Jennifer, MCDS Camp Parent

Lunch and Snacks Sage Dining Service provides a well balanced, hot and cold lunch menu designed to make even the pickiest of eaters happy all summer long. A morning and afternoon snack is also provided. The menu is posted online for easy reference.

Movie\ Date Nights Due to an overwhelming response, we are having Movie/Date Nights every Friday during the 2014 Summer session. Let us provide dinner and a movie while you get a Date Night!

Ages for Campers Miami Country Day School’s Summer Camp offers age-appropriate activities for outstanding children and future leaders from grades Pre-K through 5. Pre-K children need to turn three years old before August 2 and they must be out of diapers and completely potty-trained. CIT’s- Counselors in Training – Grades 6-8 Our Counselor in Training (CIT) program is for students entering grades 6-8. These students will not only have a real camp experience, but they will also learn valuable first aid, computer, counseling and leadership skills that will serve them greatly as they make the leap to high school.
