Your Support Blesses Thousands Every Day Dear Friends, Our Centers in Miami, Hollywood, and Pompano serve the homeless and needy every day, but did you know that thousands of men, women, and children who are in need are blessed and helped during our community outreaches throughout the year? Your generosity and compassion touches lives on so many levels. Our last two outreaches were held for Thanksgiving and Christmas. They were huge successes. Nearly 7,000 people were in attendance. There was great food, inspirational performances, Mission Hope Bags, toys and more. Hundred of volunteers made these outreaches super special. The best part was that over 140 men and women (who were homeless) decided to get off the streets and join our life changing programs. Our next outreach , Thanksgiving on Good Friday, will take place Friday, March 30th . We expect to serve and help thousands. A gift of $2.10 will help provide a delicious meal and hope. Return the enclosed reply card or give online at www.caringplace.org/easter. Your support blesses and changes lives every day. Special blessings to you and your loved ones this Easter, Passover, and beyond,

Rev. Ronald Brummitt President

Fill A Purple Bag With Hope A Mission Hope bag is a purple bag that can be filled with inexpensive, unused hygiene items. Help collect basic hygiene products that people in need can use to feel better about themselves. We know that when someone feels better, they are in a better position to make other changes in their lives such as getting involved with education, work training, recovery, and spiritual guidance we offer at Miami Rescue Mission & Broward Outreach Centers. Contact us and let us know how many bags you, your organization, or business will fill and we will send them out to you. For larger donations, we can arrange a pick up.

Horace’s Story

H

orace came from a large family where he and his siblings encountered physical abuse from their father. In high school, he started using drugs and his drug use increased until he was eventually kicked out of school. He soon ended up in jail, but earned his GED and had hopes to go to college. This dream was dashed by 30 years of drugs and more jail. Horace lived on the streets for 3 years before entering our program. He has worked hard to turn his life around. Horace has a new life and a new future thanks to your support. “Being here has allowed me to pursue my dream of 30 years. Thank you to all the supporters for making my new life a reality.”
