Avoiding the Seal
The University Seal is embedded into the sidewalk in the center of campus (also called the Hub). Miami University tradition is to avoid stepping on the seal out of respect for Miami University history and values. Tradition says that those who step on the seal will be punished by failing their next exam. M IAMI OH. EDU
