About Us Inspired by the Latin District in Paris, where all nationalities meet in a friendly atmosphere enjoying a wide variety of delicious food pleasing every taste; Quartier Latin aims to bring the Parisian ambience with the cosiness of the Latin atmosphere and delicious food all the way to Egypt. Quartier Latin is all about quality of food and a cosy inviting atmosphere. We aim to create a hub where people would feel comfortable to stay all day long and enjoy our delicious food.

Introduction The house style guidelines reflects the feeling of the Latin District in Paris from which Quartier Latin is inspired yet with a modern appeal. Quartier Latin’s house style guidelines ensures a unique branding system conveying the aim of the restaurant being an inviting cosy place with a combination of French and Latin ambiance. It also conveys the values of Quartier Latin which are; cosiness with class, quality and authenticity. These guidelines express the values of the place both verbally and visually through a designed set of applications while maintaining consistency in appearance to ensure a well rounded branding system maintaining the quality, making the customers feel secure and appreciated.



Basic Guidelines


Signature A portrait of class, authenticity and contemporary appeal describing Quartier Latin in a visual memorable signature. Uniqueness and individuality on a global standard with a classical choice of colours yet a modern design revealing the values of Quartier Latin. Fonts used in Logo: Jane Austin & Fragment Core


Signature Guidelines In order to maintain Quartier Latin’s unique branding, the signature rules must be respected in all documents and applications.

Primary Typography The Primary typeface is a combination of a romantic font (Jane Austin) reflecting the Parisian Latin ambience and a modern classy font, easy to use (Minion Pro) which reflects the contemporary twist of the restaurant.

Secondary Typography The Secondary typeface is always complementing the primary one while reflecting the values of Quartier Latin in a unique manner.


Primary Colours Cool colours palette reflecting modernity and trust in the grey tones and the blue tones respectively. The primary colours are used widely in Quartier Latin’s publications and they define the appearance of the restaurant.

Secondary Colours & Patterns Chosen carefully of warm colours, the secondary colours palette compliments and emphasizes the primary palette. It is used in publication where certain areas needs to be emphasized as it is also very popular in printed ads, as it creates contrast with the primary colours which grabs the attention.


Display of Secondary Colours & Patterns Use Used to alter the logo for several occasions, such as holidays or for a more colourful appeal for giveaways, advertising, kids corner etc.

Basic Business Card

The business card design is simple and classy, reflects the essence of the restaurant and its values. A unique feature in Quartier Latin’s branding is that most of its designs can be altered simply by the addition of the secondary colours and patterns to fit certain occasions allowing variation which makes the brand constantly changeable while keeping its main essence and image.

Imagery Two sets of imagery: the first is food photography with macro lens and white background and the second set is places photography (The Latin District in Paris) with a landscape lens and a grey scale feel.


Menu Quartier Latin’s menu design is an interplay between font sizes and imagery. A simple design, easy to read and to grasp, with complementing imagery. The design conveys class, modernity and certainly Quartier Latin.


Advertising Advertising in magazines focuses on visual communication rather than words. Using imagery is an effective tool to grab the reader’s attention. Simplicity and a play on words is always advisable. The logo is on a white background preserving its look not to be mistaken or misused.


Printing Specs The printing specs ensures the quality of all Quartier Latin’s publications and printed documents.
