For my logo I created a child with sundae topping hair. The ice cream hair and facial expression were created to give a light and airy feel that was kid and parent friendly.
Color Palette
For my color palette I choose three different sets of colors to represent the three original ice cream flavors such as chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla. These three color sets are representd in my package designs.
Typography
For the typographic portion of my logo I wanted to create a hand lettering inspired lockup using custom written cursive. I then used the small cherry from my character and for a secondary font Helvetica Neuve Regular. I choose the Helvetica for the purpose of having a contrast.

When mocking up and designing my packages and brand event I wanted to have something simple that would use all of my elements. I created a simple repeat pattern to showcase my specific look and feel of the various illustrative items.
Event
For my event I chose to throw an ice cream social after school for the kids and their families. At this particular event familes and their children could have the ability to customize their very own frozen yogurt cup with various stickers which come in several styles for the face of the character.
Vehicle
For my brand vehicle I chose to use something that was both old and iconic. I wanted a very retro feel so i initially chose to use the old Volkswagon mini van, which I then repurposed for my brand.
Kid Friendly
The aim and passion of the Lil Hoods brand is that it is a very fun and tastey treat that puts a smile on the face of your child. In fact, some kids might just like it a little too much that they’ll ask for more. Besides who can resist somethiing so cute.
Healthy Choice
From an ingredient standpoint all of our products are both sugar and fat free naturally so parents will never have to worry about the contents of what they are letting their kids eat. Plus, with so many fresh fruit toppings to select, our mini frozen yogurt bar can’t be beat.That and our truck service is friendly, and above all quick.
Packaging
For my packaging I made three different products, a bottled milkshake, a frozen yogurt cup wrap and a ice cream sandwich. I then chose to style them to represent what an actual frozen yogurt ad would lookl like, the cutout images on a blank white background with several pieces of fruit placed with them on either side.
