DAY 1 On the first day you must arrive by 4 PM. For student Facilitators you are to arrive at 2 PM. Don’t be afraid to meet and greet new friends! You are here to enjoy a tremendous amount of fun with people you may not know. Cabins are assigned by genders, male and female. Once you have you arrived at the campsite you are to unpack in your “assigned cabin” with a handful of others. After everything is settled the first session of Key Leader starts!! You first will get into “neighborhoods” that consist of 8-10 members. Food will be provide through out!
DAY 2 With a handful on the first day, the second day consists of outdoor activities, indoor leadership training and night time camp fires. Depending on the location, multiple camp sites have obstacle courses for you to challenge yourself. For example at Camp Cedar Glen there is a 10 foot wall that you have to work with your group in order to climb it. Indoor leadership training is held by a professional mentor. He or She will guide you into was it means to be a leader and how you should react amongst each other. Lastly at night you will get to enjoy time with your new friends and the camp fire.
DAY 3 An amazing, full filled camp is coming to an end. You will have your last session with the professional mentor about leadership. On the last day you will also have one last big group activity with everyone. During this time you get to share your moments about your experience. Share any thoughts you have and tear together as it comes to an end. Towards the end you will have an opportunity to write “Key Leader Grams” to your fellow friends you have made. Each individual will have a “mailbox” for others to put their notes in.
