PRIVACY GRADIENT A viewer can see different points and have different privacies depending on his point of view. Depending on his position on the map his privacy will increase or decrease.
As he moves down, the landscape is redefined, as is his privacy thanks to his changing position in the landscape
POSITION IN SPACE Our perception of objects is influenced by scale. When we change the scale of an object our perception changes.
A position in a space can can influence perception and make it seem that other object’s position are changing too.
CIRCULATION Logic between vectors and nodes. Nodes are areas that attract people and influence their movement for one reason or another. Nodes need to be memorable and draw people to them.
The grey circles are nodes. Individual lines act and move freely and randomly. They clearly follow logical vector paths as they are attracted to and circulate around the nodes. So areas of higher density that show the common paths people use to circulate around the nodes show that circulation systems are actually pretty logical.
In public circulation systems like subways or city streets, the existence of nodes impact seemingly random and free movement. There is a degree of logic that becomes evident by the density and patterns made of where people choose to go.
