New Works Matt Glenn

Matt Glenn: NEW WORKs „The works are framed moments of disruption and intervention. They are collected and created items, some studio refuse, some have undergone fabrication and other works have been created with more regular studio painting processes. The commonality is that each work has gone through a period of physical duress, either before entering the studio, or before leaving the studio. The materials test each other’s sense of volume and space - cardboard or fabric competing with steel, foam pushing against canvas. They test the hierarchies of material value and tangible presence.“ Matt Glenn, 2013
