The Cottage on Fernald’s Basin Where Mother Nature Comes Home

The Cottage on Fernald’s Basin Welcome to our home in what began as a historic 1930s Kit House with many added on an on with a mish mash of addictions and expansions over the years. It quite frankly was one of th ugliest homes in Wolfeboro. This was part of the original cottage for Moody’s Ice Harvesting business in the late 1800s. additions The Basin is a body of water created by a strip of land for the Cotton Rail Trail bringing visitors to Wolfeboro. We transformed our home into an eclectic 3 bedroom arts and craft inspired cabin with 3 bathrooms, large chefs kitchen island, granite tops Thermadore duel fuel stove and beautiful cabinets. Walls of windows frame an ever changing and always inspiring views of the Basin with Lake Wentworth and Copple Crown beyond. Huge sugar sandy beach, plenty of level grounds, English gardens, and fire pit to enjoy the good life on the lake. This is Mother Nature’s resting spot with all kinds of wildlife from eagles, great blue heron, otter, loons and ducks to entertain you. All this yet less than two miles to Lake Winnipesaukee and downtown Wolfeboro and in the heart of the Lakes Region. Enjoy. The Original Structure at 315 Center Street
