At The Waterside Centre your attendance target is 100% This will contribute to a good quality learning experience and will not result in stress when you are required to catch up on what you have missed

Learner Code of Conduct We expect you to: • Ensure you are on time for all your lessons and activities. Punctuality is important • Report any absence or lateness to your tutor at the earliest opportunity - 01254 354210 • Organise your study time and assignments to ensure that you complete all work required by agreed deadlines and to the best of your ability • Complete all homework tasks • Ensure that you seek help when you need it and take full advantage of the services and support offered • Respect the learning experience of others and behave in a calm, responsible and orderly manner at all times, which does include swearing. We do not tolerate behaviour which endangers safety or disturbs other students’ learning • Respect the right of all individuals to be free of harassment of any kind, whether sexual, racial or otherwise - do not engage in any type of bullying or harassment • Help to keep The Waterside Centre clean and tidy, especially the classrooms and kitchen area by clearing/washing any cups, cutlery etc. that you have used • Provide a monetary contribution, if you are using the tea/coffee/sugar and milk facilities. This enables us to replenish the stock • Use litter bins provided inside the classrooms, reception and kitchen area • Refrain from smoking in the building or immediately outside the doors. The designated smoking area is at the end of the canopy or away from the building • Ensure that you show respect for college property and equipment by using any equipment carefully, following all safety instructions • Ensure that you follow college ICT guidelines and commit to the College acceptable use policy • Ensure that you are not in possession of or under the influence of drugs (this includes alcohol, tobacco, illegal drugs, unauthorised medicines, NSP (‘legal highs’) and volatile substances.

By attending courses at The Waterside Centre you are agreeing to the above rights and responsibilities.
