Online Fixed

Online Fixed courses start at specific times throughout the year and usually run for 12 weeks. Online facilitators help you learn throughout the course from week to week.

Online Continuous

Online Continuous courses are open for registration anytime throughout the year. Complete a course at your own pace, within one year of registration. Online tutors are available to answer your questions and guide you through the course.

In-Class

In-Class courses combine theory and hands-on training to perfect skills and improve competency.

Hybrid - Look for the

Offering flexible and varied learning methods, this program will expand the knowledge base of those new to the field of diabetes education or those working towards certification or credits through the Canadian Diabetes Educator Certification Board. Recognized by the International Diabetes Federation, this program is eligible for transfer credit in Athabasca University’s Post-LPN Bachelor of Nursing and Post-RN Bachelor of Nursing programs. Imaging Informatics Imaging Informatics Graduate Certificate

Managing and storing digital images and information has become a critical concern in the health care arena. Imaging Informatics professionals play a key role in managing and sustaining this knowledge. Michener’s Imaging Informatics program incorporates four online theoretical courses, one lab session and a clinical practicum. The Michener Institute and the Canadian Association of Neurophysiological Monitoring (CANM) have partnered to offer a certificate program towards professional accreditation in intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring a first of its kind in Canada. This work is expanding quickly in operating rooms globally and is vital for protecting patients during high-risk surgery.
