Narcolepsyand andthe theHorrible Horrible Truth: How Fight Narcolepsy Truth: How to to Fight Your Your Way Through Way Throug elieve it or not, there’s a mysterious illness that’s affecting a lot of people. It’s a condition that makes an individual suddenly fall asleep and without warning. This mystery disease is so terrible that it can cause bodily harm to a person when he or she is doing something hazardous such as operating heavy machinery or driving.

This disorder is called Narcolepsy. By definition, Narcolepsy is an extreme tendency to fall asleep in an active surrounding. The condition affects a lot of people especially those in the working class. The dangerous part of it is not the tendency to sleep suddenly, but by the accidents that could happen on the onset of the condition.
17
Narcolepsy might sound like a horrible disorder, but with the help of professionals and self-discipline, a person can cope up with such a terrible condition. Here are some steps to help a person with narcolepsy to recover.
Getting a Diagnosis from Professionals Before doing anything, it’s safe to know that self-diagnosing can do a lot of harm.
There might be more underlying problems that a person may not know of when he or she is self-diagnosing. Seek the advice of a doctor specializing in sleeping problems. There are two tests that they need to confirm if a person has Narcolepsy. These two tests are PSG or Polysomnogram and the MSLT or Multiple Sleep Latency Test. PSG’s are done overnight when a patient is asleep. The test can determine if there are any abnormalities in the sleep cycle of an individual. With an MLST, it is done during the day to measure an individual’s tendency to fall asleep. The test also determines if there are isolated elements of REM during inappropriate times during working hours.

Doctors can prescribe particular medications that can help a person sleep better at night to reduce the onset of narcolepsy during the day. Various lifestyle modifications also help in curbing narcolepsy. Avoiding alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, and other stimulants can also help a person stay fully awake during the day.
A person suffering from narcolepsy should practice good sleeping habits to reduce the effects of narcolepsy. Set a consistent time when going to sleep, to make the body accustomed to a schedule. Keep away all sharp objects and any object that emits sound, electronic devices, etc. out of your room. It’s also a good idea to remove caffeine from one’s system.
Takeaway Narcolepsy is indeed a terrible condition which affects a lot of people. Although there is no cure for the disease, there is treatment available for its more debilitating symptoms like cataplexy. To reduce the episode of narcolepsy from happening, a lot of lifestyle modifications such as avoiding alcohol and eliminating stimulants such as caffeine and nicotine is a good start.
Always Seek Help from Your Friends and Family
Sufferers from narcolepsy also suffer from cataplexy. A condition wherein certain actions such as laughter and other strong emotional responses cause a sudden episode of muscle weakness in the body.
Treatment can control the distressing and disabling symptoms of narcolepsy such as cataplexy and abnormal REM sleep.
Being idle can also trigger narcolepsy. It’s always a good idea to keep busy especially during the day to help the body focus on an activity. However, in severe cases of narcolepsy, no amount of activity can contribute by stimulating the body to stay awake. It’s always safe to have someone such as a friend or family nearby. Treatment It’s a sad fact that narcolepsy has no cure. However, those who suffer from it don’t have to fret. However, drug
It’s also good to know that a person suffering from this condition should always seek the help of professionals like doctors. Interview There are various factors that contribute to substantial growth of this sector. One of the key aspects remains the volume of sales where in India constitutes 8% of world’s generic markets and 2% of world’s biotech markets. Therefore, it is appropriate to say that the exponential growth of the Medical, Pharmaceutical, & Healthcare sectors have created a positive and sustainable environment for businesses to thrive. Earlier multinational companies were outsourcing only clinical research services to Indian companies. But today with the ever increasing footmark of this sector and many new domestic entrants in the market, India has very much become the go-to place for companies all across the world.
India is their key market for their need of good quality and affordable laboratory instruments and equipments, chemical databases, data analysis, data mining, biomedical text mining and customized tool development. These segments are expected to grow by the rate of 20% to 35% till 2025 which makes it attractive for foreign investors where in the Indian Companies get good amount of capital to conduct their R&D to keep on improving their product quality and making it costeffective as well. This ultimately is helping the economy to grow and prosper at a much faster rate. Microbioz India: Throw light on global technologies on display at the trade fair.

Advancing Biopsy Storage with Automation-Friendly Tubes Designed with special features for the storage of fresh frozen tissue samples, Micronic releases the innovative and secure 1.00ml and 3.50ml tubes with external thread. With these uniform tissue storage products, Micronic enables biobanks to standardize and automate the handling and storage of tissue samples in the same way as their liquid samples. As a result, the chance of mixing up tissue biopsy samples during handling is minimized, while the sample integrity during storage is maximized. The tissue tubes feature a wide opening for easy loading and are shallow for the removal of tissue samples using tweezers. Various sizes of tissue samples can be stored in the tubes. The tubes are optionally available with a transparent cap, for easy visual checking of the enclosed tissue sample from above.

Not all peristaltic pumps are designed for handling shear-sensitive fluids and live cells. The new Masterflex L/S Cytoflow pump head was developed specifically for pumping live cells and shear-sensitive fluids. The pump head is ideal for use in biopharma and microbiology applications and performance in live-cell applications has been verified by independent test data. The Cytoflow pump head has a largediameter rotor resulting in high flow rates at low motor speeds. The pump head is available in 2- and 3-roller configurations—two-roller heads offer higher flow rates, three-roller heads deliver less pulsation. The pump head is compatible with all Masterflex L/S drives that accept two or more pump heads. In addition to the high flow rates at low motor speeds, the Cytoflowpump head has a convex roller design, furthering its cell viability advantages. News Source: https://www.labbulletin.com
