Day’s Jewelers a Downtown Favorite for Over 60 Years When Kathy, Jim and Jeff Corey purchased Day’s Jewelers in 1988, the company’s headquarters was located in Westbrook, Maine. At the time, the Coreys owned and operated Jeffrey’s Fine Jewelers in Waterville. After much deliberation, they decided to move Day’s headquarters to Waterville and change the name of their downtown store from Jeffrey’s Jewelers to Day’s. Today, 25 years later, Day’s has grown to a 6 store chain throughout Maine, in Manchester, NH and a full e-commerce website employing a total of nearly 150 people. Day’s headquarters has remained in Downtown Waterville located on the two floors above their Main Street jewelry store. Day’s Jewelers is highly regarded within the jewelry industry as being a leader in social, ethical and environmental responsibility. Day’s has been selected among the 30 of “America’s Best Jewelers”. Jeff Corey, Day’s owner, states: “We chose to grow our company based in Waterville primarily because of the high quality, hard working people in the area. Mid-Maine is an attractive area for those who wish to avoid life in a larger city. We employ, between the store and corporate functions, about 50 people in downtown Waterville. In retrospect, we made the right decision to select Waterville as home base.” Day’s is a full service jewelry store specializing in fine quality diamonds, jewelry, watches and gemstones. The store offers complete jewelry repair services, engraving and appraisals by a team of highly skilled professionals. Day’s offers a unique shopping experience, free from

high pressure sales associates and gimmicks. Day’s Jewelry Consultants take a personal interest in helping guests choose just the right piece or gift that is of exceptional quality at a great value. Day’s is proud to be part of downtown Waterville for more than 60 years. Join Day’s Jewelers on Wednesday, November 20, when it hosts Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce’s Business After Hours from 5:30 to 7pm.
