Honey Tavakoli, Distribution Account Manager at LG Electronics.

Driving innovation and sustainability Sustainability is a mission-critical goal for LG who are currently focused on becoming a global sustainable company. This goal includes listening to customers, recycling materials and repurposing and reusing old products.

Did you know that LG’s 86” stretched screens are being cut off from their old 98” displays? Addressing global issues that consumers are worried about, such as sustainability, has established LG as a worldwide leader in new technologies.

“We’re quite creative with our technologies which makes them stand out in the market” – Samantha Bews, UK Education Sales Manager at LG Electronics. What to expect from LG at Tech Xpo Showcasing and demonstrating over ten products from digital signage displays to large format displays and LED displays, you’ll be able to see the technology in action, leaving inspired and awed. Together for Tomorrow Samsung at Tech Xpo

In 2022, Samsung announced their Together for Tomorrow vision – implementing new environmentally friendly processes and initiatives including low-impact manufacturing and resource acquisition and using eco-conscious packaging.

Electronic waste has a huge impact on the environment. Many products contain toxic materials that, when exposed to heat in landfill, release emissions and pollute the atmosphere. Not only is this wasteful, but it also adds extra costs to production. This is intensified within the current global supply-chain crisis.

Samsung acknowledges this and aims to create a circular economy by recycling and re-using rare and expensive resources that would otherwise be disposed of.

Smart Signage products of 2022 received certified energy efficiency grades that rise to new industry standards – making great headway in the world of sustainability. Energy-efficient products equal lower utility bills and less greenhouse gas emissions.

Samsung has implemented a System on Chip (SoC) solution for their monitors and signage that allows content to be displayed without any additional devices, saving both e-waste and energy. Samsung has also extended its product lifespan with enhanced durability, meaning users won’t have to replace products as frequently.

Samsung was the first manufacturer in its industry to gain the reducing CO2 label, certified by the Carbon Trust for its LCD Signage series. And that’s not all! Samsung has recently earned an ENERGY STAR certification* as well as an Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT) certification for its Crystal UHD series – QHB, QMB and QBB displays.

In May 2022, Samsung was announced the winner of ‘Sustainability Innovation of the Year’ at the AV News Awards in recognition of their global sustainability initiative. What tech is Samsung showing at Tech Xpo?

Crystal UHD Series The Smart Signage series received certifications for energy efficiency and carbon footprint reduction and complies with restriction guidelines for hazardous substances such as Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Recycling (WEEE). The Smart Signage displays use recycled resin for the rear side cover and recycled box clip, recycled plastic strapping and recycled plastic bags for the packaging.

Sustainability aside, with Dynamic Crystal Colour and a 4K quantum processor, this series ensures every image is an immersive experience, producing one billion shades of colour and professional picture quality.

The Wall All-in-One Durable displays are more sustainable in the long-term because they need to be replaced less frequently. Samsung has engineered a new generation of LED displays that have been built to last: the Wall All-in-One can withstand bumps and scratches. It is also resistant to water and dust so it can be part of your business for years to come. Customers will be able to witness the awe-inspiring visuals at Tech Xpo.

Flip Pro Samsung Flip Pro is a premium interactive display that takes learning to the next level. With intuitive writing, comprehensive connectivity, smart solutions and brilliant hardware, it provides educators and students with boundless resources and flexibility for engaging learning. Customers will be able to interact with the display and learn what all the fuss is about.

Visit Samsung on stand 13 Designed as a networking stand, it’s a great chance to meet the team, learn more about Samsung’s 2022 product portfolio and initiatives and exchange project ideas to elevate environments in 2023.

*ENERGY STAR certification only applicable to the U.S. market.
