Margaret Ok

I am fortunate to have been in the AEC industry for 24 years. In the year 2012, I graduated with an M.Arch degree from the Mass College of Art and Design's M.Arch program but started my architectural journey in 1997 at Wentworth Institute of Technology, where in 2001, I earned a B.S. degree in Architectural Engineering. I worked for almost 10 years at Studio G architects, progressing from Intern to Job Captain during this period. In 2013, I worked at Regent Associates for almost 5 years as Job Captain, then PM; then moved to Group One Associates for 2 years as an APM; TRIA Design as a contract employee for 4 months. In 2020, I was employed by SGA where I assumed the roles of senior project Designer, PA and PM until the year 2024. I am always seeking professional and personal growth in Architecture and life in general. I believe the best types of architectural design are the ones where the design and engineering elements are expressed in the building's shape and aesthetics. Few of my philosophies in life have to do with cliche sayings such as "anything worth doing, is worth doing well", "don't sweat the small stuff" and "Do unto others as you'd have done onto you".
