The project stems from the analysis of parks in the city of Bogotá, verifying the availability of activities, amenities, and connectivity with other parks. As a result of this situation, defined as “breakup of parks,” it aims to improve the city’s network from a metropolitan scale with urban acupuncture interventions. These interventions are intended to benefit the areas of the city with the least square meter availability of parks and diversity of usage, one of these areas being Bosa, where the main project is located.

The main project is named ‘Water Park,’ in which the Bosa locality is analyzed, and areas are selected that, in conjunction with future partial plans of the city, will generate better utilization and care of the natural resources of the area, improving the quality of life for the inhabitants.

In addition to the main project, complementary actions for the network of parks are proposed, connecting with various modes of transport and boulevards that weave green spaces into a city advancing in sustainability.

“FUNCTIONAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONNECTIVITY

The landscape designed in the Water Park incorporates native species of the Bogotá savanna, especially from areas with varied precipitation and moist soils. This landscape is combined with educational and recreational activities in accessible and open natural environments.

The Forum is located in the city of Barcelona, specifically in the Diagonal Mar area, where it seeks to improve the intervention of the Mar Bella promenade.

The Forum platform area is a seasonal event venue, which creates a dead zone in the longitudinal connectivity of the beach. This is where ‘The New Forum’ functions as an active nucleus in the relationships of the sector.

MAIN OBJECTIVE

To enhance the accessibility, connectivity, and permeability of the city and the coastline.

Additionally, it offers a greater variety of services for the adjacent residential area. It is an open space meant for contemplating, activating, and caring for the coastal ecosystem.

The New Forum creates spaces for constant recreation throughout the year, by reusing an impermeable platform and simulating a dune system of the coastline.

“The project carried out for the Fundación Santa Fe de Bogotá consists of the landscape and irrigation design for the external and internal green areas of the Ambulatory Services Tower.

This was a new project, which is currently constructed and operational.

The scope includes the construction plans of landscape areas (exterior and interior) , construction details, and preview images of the spaces.

The design proposes landscaping areas in the common zones of the building, to modify the image and perception for all types of users of the health services offered.

Parque Nacional Enrique Olaya Herrera - 2020

“ThePEMPlandscapeassessmentisconductedwiththeaim of being a key element in the planning and management of the landmark of the city of Bogotá. Specifically, the Enrique Olaya Herrera National Park is a vital urban, natural, and cultural element in the history of the city’s expanded center.

This is where the architectural, environmental, and cultural heritage of the city converges.

An analysis of the park is carried out through visits, during which current activities taking place are observed and recorded. The aim is to generate a solid information base for future park plans.

Emergency Tower, Tunal Hospital - 2023

Landscape and public space design

In this project, the reconstruction of the Emergency Tower of the Hospital Tunal, along with its public and operational spaces, is carried out as the first phase of the entire hospital complex renovation.

The regulations and the building design are analyzed, considering that the concept of greening is fundamental for the hospital’s aesthetic and functional values. Thus, providing an exterior and interior landscaping design to complement the processes of patient care and recovery.

PROJECT SCOPES COVERED:

- Design of public space and landscaping in BIM methodology with a construction project scope.

- Approval of landscaping design before JBB and SDA (Bogotá Botanical Garden and District Secretariat for the Environment).

- Coordination of urban planning and architecture for the functioning of the health facility according to the national regulations of the Ministry of Health.

“The designs for public space and landscaping are received from the IDU entity, in order to review and complement the design process during Preconstruction stage of the infrastructure project dor city’s execution plan.

In this way, the final design covers all applicable public space regulations, taking into account the coordination of urban elements and the new type of public transport (Transmilenio) to ensure the correct operation of the system in its area of impact.
