COST Body work needed in vehicle. Easy manufacture. Low cost manufacture. Cheap mechanic components.

LITTLE RUNNERS Group Project - Fall 2015 6 Weeks Project Exercise: Research the ergonomic and anthropocentric factors by testing and measure users to configure an object that has no impact with future injuries. Case: Design a product that helps to solve the problem of childhood obesity in the scholar environment by playing.

HOW TO SOLVE THE CHILD OBESITY PRO

OBLEM?

FACTS Mexico has the first place in Childhood obesity. Kids with these problem are excluded to play games that required specials skills.

IDEATE

After session made with kids in school we defined that the game most be even between participants, intuitive, and focused in more energy lost by playing the same amount of time.

TORSO FELCTION 0 to 10 degrees

ELBOW EXTENTION 80 to 160 degrees

LEG FELCTION 95 to 120 degrees

ERGONOMIC HYPOTHESIS

According to research made by book about the comfort angles for each extremely of the body that will interact with the object we proceeded to build a simulator to prove and analyze the theory in order to design a proper vehicle for 6 to 11 years old kids referred to it following percentiles.

SIMULATE

The test was focused on simulating the way the kids would interact with the objects involved by manufacturing a simulator that let us measure and test different angels, distances and postures.

10 Tests Analyzed

ANALYZE

All test gave value information to work with, in order to define the right measurements and design the vehicle in a way that the user realize the task of playing without affecting his body and making him burn calories while playing.

DESIGN

Give a shape to the information analyzed with the simulation taking care of the logical way to develop a functional, attractive and feasible product for kids at school, considering the factors that could affect its success in the market.

GAME

The game ended up as a way of playing cops and robbers in a predetermined pad designed to push the users to burn calories and excersie while playing .

PROPERTIES

It has the quality of many pad variations possibilities because its modular way of assembly.

¨LET KIDS PLAY COPS AND ROBBERS WITH RUNNERS¨

H LITTLE

BENEFITS 1. More fun than regular play because its traps around the pad 2. Use upper / lower muscles and core to move along 3. Equitable game between kids 4. More energy loose by playing 5. Explosive exercises

MAKO Team Project - 2014 / 2015 1 Year Project Exercise: Coordinate as Team Leader and Improve the vehicle performance for 2015 Shell eco marathon competition in Detroit. Case: Low weight, better visibility, energy efficient improvement, easy access to poser train maintenance.

PLANING

We spend some weeks to make and detail the strategy plan of the year, set goals, expectations and times for develop.

ANALYZE

Identify the improvements needed for next year competition by assistance of professors and experimented teammate.

MAKING

After analysis made, I decided to solve the problem of power train fork and help to solve the visibility problem.

IMPLEMENT

I proposed an aluminum power train fork with 5 kg less than previous one. It has now the capability to stock and shelter all power train components so they can be tested without vehicle.

COMPETITION

There were Technical Inspections in the competition (weight, dimensions, steering, driver security, brakes , visibility, design and electric system) tests where made before compete in the marathon.

RESULTS

114 Teams / 28 Battery Electric Prototypes / 18 Tech Specs / 12 Complete marathon / MAKO 10th place in America First time that the university complete the marathon Best Mexican prototype in the competition.

TIME TRAIN Group Project - Spring 2015 16 Weeks Project Exercise: Cooperate to develop a project solving special needs from 2 entrepreneurs. Case: Organize and assist people in the workspace to be more efficient with their duties.

TANgerine + Lizbeth Interior Design

EMPATHIZE

First we´ve got to identify the problems in their daily basis, his habits and abilities to solve them.

QUICK PROTOTYPE

By analyzing the previous info we planed a second session but these time focused on prototype in a matter to get more ideas to develop a solution to their needs.

IDEATE

Now with certain info about our users needs and wishes we ideate some concepts.

PROGRAM IT

Now with a concept and design made we started to prototype, these time we even made the electronics to simulate its functions entirely.

BENEFITS MONITOR PROTECT ACTIVITY FROM DISTRACTIONS MEASURE HOW MANY SETS PER TASK RECAP WORK AND REVIEW SET DAILY PERSONAL OBJECTIVE AS MOTIVATION

CLIMA Professional - Summer 2015 8 Weeks Project Exercise: Participate in second stage (Design) of geothermal AC system project at Coope.mx Case: Design the Geothermal heat pump and thermostat accord to the previous research.

CLI

A

PROBLE

There isn’t a Geothermal AC system i of pollution in

EMATIC

in Mexico that considers the problem n the country.

IDEATE

Aesthetics and production logic to develop in Mexico.

PROTOTYPE

Volumetric prototypes made to be sure about measures, interaction and configuration logic.

FUNCTIONS HEAT PUMP Register and display information about the whole geothermal system as: input / output temperature, energy consuming by component, correct functionality of system and gives hints to solve problems identified.

THERMOSTAT It control the way of function of the system, user can manage temperature of each room, schedule times and intensity of AC per hour and see money savings made each week.

INTERFACE App basic architecture, graphic design and usability

Wheeltrainer Group Research / Self Design - Fall 2016 6 Weeks Project Exercise: Research the ergonomic and anthropocentric factors by prototyping, testing and analyzing the results in order to configured an object, considering also functional, manufacture and aesthetic factors. Case: Design a public exercise machine that people in wheelchairs can use. Focusing in human / object interaction as well as the phisical-cognitive perception that empower confidence of usability.

84% of motor disabled people in Mex in that condition after an accident or

xico get disease

PROBLEMATIC Because these fact there is a journey that new disabled people will carry out until they can go back to do their daily tasks again. There are many barriers that disable people will need to overcome specially the way they learn to use the wheelchair during daily basis.

¨We practice tennis because that way we develop better skills for our daily living adversities¨ Rosalba (Wheelchair Professional Tennis player)

EVALUATION

State of art analysis of public machines that already exists in the market in order to recognize pros and cons about their designs and usability.

CONCEPT

After field research made in collaboration of Wheelchair Tennis Mexican Asosiation (AMTSR in Spanish) we identify that if disabled people train their wheelchair skills they will overcome the infrastructure barrier they deal with in their daily basis

SIMULATIONS

Emphatic tests to know the difficulties of usability / Balance point of wheelchair + human considering weight / Balance + Strength to know the maximum angel wheelchair users can deal with and posture analysis / Sprints in order to create a fatigue factor data based.

10 TESTS ANALYZED

PROTOTYPE

After analyze simulator tests I applied those factors and measures into the design according to the concept and then developed a prototype to validate the design, in order to refine dimensions and usability.

DESIGN

Considering the outdoor factors to decide materials, manufacturing, mounting parts and aesthetic according to what it already exists in the market.

USER SEQUENCE

SLICER Individual Project - Fall 2015 4 Weeks Project Exercise: Research the ergonomic and anthropocentric factors by testing and measure users to configure an object that has no impact with future injuries. Case: Design a slicer tool for an specific market, in these case it was design for fast food franchise that need to solve the problem of efficiency and productivity of the machines while standardizing the cuts of the vegetables

T W P

STANDARDIZE CUTS NEEDED

TEMPORARY WORKER = UNEXPERIENCED USER OPPORTUNITY Knowing the fact that franchises have to deal with itinerary workers and teach them the skills they will need to develop every single summer, I took it as an area of opportunity to develop a tool that helps them to make the task of slicing / cut vegetables in a standardized way.

USABILITY

Study the way how standardized slicers work to know the actual user sequence to improve the act of using it in the further design.

PROTOTYPING

By prototyping I looked for the most optimal way to interact with the product in a way that the user uses the less amount of energy to slice the most amount of vegetables.

16 Tests Analyzed
