“ A structure should be minimal, yet it should be aesthetic and highly functional
Recycle, Reduce and Reuse are the future of architecture as well as the construction industry First floor plan
Use of local materials give an essence to any project, it gives the structure a sense of belonging to that locality. Since the site is located near industrial areas, shipment containers have governed the whole design process.
North East side elevation
A container is usually discarded after using it for a maximum of 5 times. Usually they are bought in the aftermarket for storage purposes, but with some workarounds these containers can become habitable. Such conatiners are usually Fire & weather resistant and have negligible mantainence hence, using them as a building material cuts down the overhead cost of the project. South West Side Elevation

DESIGN OF UNIVERSAL DESIGNED SCHOOL
UNIVERSAL DESIGN FEATURES.
“ Universal Design is the composition and design of an artificial environment, that is accesible to every human being
Universal Design is not only limited to designing a space with optimum accesible heights or any other special provisions, but it is also a state of mind. The school has been design in such a way that it provides grounds and multiple spaces where differenty abled and those who are not can socialize and use the same space together for the same purpose at the same time without making any special provisions for anyone. Maximum effort has been put in designing all the spaces that makes everyone feel comfortable both physically and mentally, so that no user stands out of the crowd and feels that he/she are the part of the same society.

DESIGN OF DAY AND NIGHT SHELTER
DESIGN OF DAY AND NIGHT SHELTER.
A liminal space is a zone of transition between any two fixed points. A space which is seldomly used but is of a great importance. An appropiate use of such spaces can change the outlook or the function of any structure drastically.
The day and night shelter, were both targetted for two different users. Day shelter’s main purpose was to serve as a play and rest area for kids of age group 5-10 whereas, night shelter has been designed to serve as a resting place for the hospiyal patient’s visitors. The main thought while designing the project was to create a space which is well segregated but it should not feel like two different puzzles, the spaces must fit togther like the pieces of a single jigsaw puzzle.

A relation between any structure and a user is of give and take, any structure occupies a space on any given plane and hence to make the maximum of this small space all efforts have been made to make the structure a Net Zero Efficient Building. The structure can produce energy by itself and this energy can be utilized by itself and the extra energy produced can be supplied to the nearby hospital for basic purposes. This will help to decrease the net carbon emission of the structure and the hospital.
DESIGN OF A BUS TERMINAL
DESIGN OF A BUS TERMINAL AND SHOPPING CENTER. The site to be deigned is located in Deharadun, India. After conducting a survey in the areas of Dehradun and Uttarkhand, the analysis of the survey led to a conculsion that the area near the Clock tower, Dehradun needed a shopping center plus, a good intra-city bus network. To promote the bus service a bus terminal has been proposed on the site along with the co-existence of a shopping center to decrease the congestion people face in the market. The shopping center may act as a new ground for the shopkeepers or it may attract new shops and business leading to the economic growth of the region.

A SPACE MUST BE DESIGNED IN SUCH A WAY THAT IT SHOULD NOT DISTURB THE SURROUNDING STRUCTURE, BUT IT SHOULD BLEND IN WITH THE SURROUNDINGS RETAINING IT’S INDIVISUAL IDENTITY.

DESIGN OF A BUS TERMINAL AND SHOPPING CENTER.
The structure built for the shopping center, has been punctured from the center to allow sunlight and air to enter the designed space.
MAXIMUM NATURAL VENTILATION AND COOLING Plenty of sunlight and air enters the bus route provided below the gound level. Thus, eradicating the provision for artificial lights and jet fans.
The structure has been so designed that it stands out from the surrounding structures, serving as a landmark for the area.
SEGREGATED CIRCULATION PATTERNS
SITE CHALLENGES -
Lack of landmark points CO-EXISTENCE OF SPACES
DESIGN FEATURES
Prone to water logging
Dense site surroundings
The main challenge faced while designing a bus terminal cum shopping center for such a congested site was to segregate the pedestrian and vehicular circulation area.
A buffer zone has been created between the levels designed for incorporating shopping centers and levels alloted for offices. The buffer zone acts as recreational space for the office’s staff members and as it has been designed to be a terrace garden it provides cooling for the shopping center which has been constrcuted below.

The site has been divided into three zones distinctively; Bus terminal, shopping center and parking area. The division has been done in such a way that yet they are indivisual zones but they co-exist in nature. Zone-A and zone-B are connected as well as segregated from each other. The placement of zone-B has been done in such a way that the adjacent service road faces the minimum amount of disturbance.
DESIGN OF INCLUSIVE HOUSING
5.1
“INCLUSIVE HOSUING AT BROWNFIELD SITE”. An architect’s main role is to solve the problems of the society, in recent times society has been broken down into different sectors because of capitalism, there is a clear distinction between the economic classes in recent times, though this issue has been faced by our human society for ages. Many believe this hierarchy helps to maintain order in society, but we fail to understand that a united society is stronger than a nuclear society. Inclusive Housing is the first step to bridge the gap between the two parts of the society.

CONCRETE SEATING. “FEATURES OF INCLUSIVE HOSUING”. A society can function only through togetherness, it cannot exist if the members do not understand and mix. As a planner, pockets of social interactions have been designed without any exclusivity. Such places promote the spirit of togetherness and unity members, can socialize with each other which will help them to understand each other. One man’s thought might be a solution for other. Such interactions can also help to solve each other’s problems.
