The Canopy The canopy is supported by a PFC (Parallel Flange Channel). It is cover by colorbond flat steel sheet ends with a colorbond flashing. At the end of the canopy, there is a half round gutter for better drains. It is connected with the precast concrete panel wall. Most of the materials used in this canopy are waterproof elements such as steel sheet, flashing and gutter. Flexible sealant is also used to seal the gap between different elements. There is only two elements that are not waterproof, one is the plywood sheet, the other is the batten.
The Glass Block Window The glass block window is located between two precast concrete panels and connected by steel frame and mortar joint. Timber is used as the sill of the window and plasterboards are used to cover the steel stud. Nails are used for the joist of stud and plasterboard. The waterproof elements in this case include precast concrete panel and glass block. The sill of this window which uses timber is not waterproof.
