AN ARCHITECTURE TO BE DESIGNED
The following is a various range of projects. Some are dealing with the inside/outside game, some others are trying to explore a way to write the landscape. In time, I am looking to make the architectural design less obvious visually. The aim is to create two kinds of design frontaly opposing but strongly supplementing each other : (1) the invisible architecture and (2) the landmark.

MASS+ SKELETON
This project features an embedded gesture played with two different material : bricks and wood.
ENSA GRENOBLE, FRANCE YEAR 1 PATRICE DOAT MASS + SKELETON 100 M2 - FREE FONCTION 4 WEEKS
LIVING IMBRICATED
The project tries to make two different families live together - a large family and an elder couple - resulting in an volumetric embedding. The garage and garden are shared, the only volumetric limit suggests the privacy of the space. PLACE, TYPE &FORM
The location is the old turkish district of Thessaloniki, on a hard slope. Attached to the surrounding turkish architecture the shape became a simple main volume embedded by many others (different functions ; different views ; different qualities of privacy). A wooden skin, foldable on some parts of the building, is inspired from the oriental moucharabieh : a game between inside and outside, between day and night. UNIVERSITY HOUSE
The three Grenoble universities are about to merge (outlook 2014). The new and unique university needs a landmark, a figurehead, introducing to a new functionnal axis on the campus. The site prone to floods, the building is elevated on several trunks. To bring back the image of a tree, the whole building is wrapped into a skin miming the leafage. Several devices are filtering the light untill the inside of the building. ENSA GRENOBLE, FRANCE YEAR 5 GREGOIRE CHELKOFF SENSITIVE SPACES - GRENOBLE UNIVERSITY HOUSE 10.000 M2 / LANDSCAPE DESIGN
SEA &SAILING MUSEUM
Thessaloniki promenade to the sea as been replanned lately. The site is located at the end of the new planning, next to the concert hall, high and all brick made. The new planning designed a space long of 1,70 meters between the ground and the water. The project is based on that lack of contact to the water. An architectural slow-diving gesture leads the building and its users to the water.

COVERED MARKET
The project is a wooden and brick made construction in an urban context. The market is a 300m2 open space (without pillar) implanted on a 5000m2 public square. The use of wood and bricks was expected. The design is a constructive system adapted to the city (ready-built wooden elements). OFFICE STOREROOM FACILITIES BAR COVERED MARKET DELIVERY PARKING

EDUCATIONNA BUILDING
AL The project’s located on the top of a hill - hill had been damaged by a previous planning which had erased all of the original slope. Our goal was to integrate the new planning by giving again a hilly shape. All the classrooms - and the kidden garden - are burrowed under of the playground stratum, whereas a main and impressive building serves as entrance plus all common functions. PALADRU BEACH
The site is located in-between a national road and the Paladru lake bank. The access is easy but the intimacy is reduced. The new planning tries to improve this aspect while setting up the activities asked for. In order to create a site used by able-bodied and disabled people, a pier is associated to an access ramp following a gradual slope. The combination of the two elements is the main structure of the new planning. The site is located North to the campus of Thessaloniki (second city of Greece) and by the old riverbed of one of the seven rivers of the city. Forgotten by the inhabitants and submerged by urbanisation. The project essentially tends to reveal this magical place and to reconnect two parts of the city thanks to several footbridges (wooden and steel made). AUTH THESSALONIKI, GREECE YEAR 4 Μ. AXIS LESDIGUIÈRES
S
On the urban scale : The city planning results from a site analysis. Parrallel shapes are multiplying from the axis to create a new district. Therefor helping the infiltration between the square (South) and the hotel park (North). On the housing scale : The will to increase the number of viewpoints and the will to propose a variety of gardens to the inhabitants the architecture is elevated and orientated with diversity. LA GUINGUETTE
The site is located on the channeled Rhône - a big swiss-french river - near to a hydraulic dam. We first tried to reorganize the network (roads ; cycle ways ; pavements ; pathes) wich were incoherent in some parts. We have chosen to devellop this network from a key point (a new entrance with parking lots ; a restaurant ; a museum ; a storage place). This point would be reconnecting the land and the dam - dam wich is the prerequisite point to cross the natural Rhône. A bridge-building was our solution to introduce to a large public this site, and a the same time to link the network to the watercourses. We develloped an alternative accomodation way. A place to stay some nights, a kind of ‘durable tent’. ENSA GRENOBLE YEAR 3 FRANK PRUNGNAUD LA GUINGUETTE SITE LOCATED IN CHAMPAGNEUX, FRANCE IN A PARTNERSHIP WITH G. AUGER & M. CAMPUS 2050
Still about the merge of the three Grenoble universities (outlook 2014) a larger project aims to improve the campus design (outlook 2025 and 2050). We proposed a project linking the nature (Northern parc de l’île d’amour) to the city (Southern Gabriel Péri urban axis). The link is made by a range of urban and vegetal squares along a path through the campus. Each of us have develloped a square. I focussed on the marketplace. AN ARCHITECTURE TO BE EXPERIMENTED
More than being merely a matter of design, the architectural project is above all to be built and then to be experimented. To ensure the durability of architecture, we must experiment all the ways : one-self’s way and the others’ ways. Therefore questioning our architecture constantly. In time, experimenting on the scale 1:1 various stucture became a necessity to me. How to intend building a virtuous architecture while not having the knowledge of the material?

INVESTIGATION
NS
After a third and last World War and many nuclear bombs occurs an earth crust scattering from which results an important modification of gravity. Some big rocks are now flying, waters are now vapours in the airs, and human beings do not walk anymore, they are in a weightlessness. According to live protected by the underground, humans had to find a way to put the daylight inside their life spaces. Enlightment - efficient all year long - is the first priority. Here is an experiment of the various ambiances could be obtained with this architecture. An underground architecture, entirely angled on the light - the daylight. ACTING IN SITU
We were asked to ‘act in situ’. Considering the disrespect toward the nature in Greece, I turned to the forest, more precisely, under the ringroad. The goal was to show greek people their own rubbish by re-using any rubbish found on the place in their original purposes.

This site has worked as a family, with a father as a site manager. But it has been also a workplace where the voice of the leader isn’t necessarily a final decision. My intern status didn’t let me an ‘extra boy’. On the contrary, I was rather listened. Each of us were from a different background, and were listened to. Remains a project of such high quality, made by a team as a perfectionist (as compared to the image that I could have about builders).

This internship allowed me to understand what is the production time required. It led me the idea that pushing the design upstream will always help a good implementation : the more questions staying unanswered during the design phasis, the more the building process might encounter obstacles.
C.A.U.E. 30
The C.A.U.E. is a local association (it is one for each french departments) acting as an open counsellor and as a warner in the fields of architecture, urbanism and Environment. They act in a local educationnal circle, or with whatever citizen (even entreprises) opened to explore new eco-friendly fields. All of that through exhibitions ; visits ; architectural and technical office hours support ; ... The internship was mainly about designing an exhibition about A. Pellier (architect). But meanwhile I joined the association members through their meetings with some local political actors. About the exhibition, we first had to do the inventory the architect’s works and then to choose which ones to introduce to a large public. Four architectural gestures make characteristic of his architecture. We tried to summarize the architectural patterns into the exhibition stand design.
