The highlight of Mil-D-Con was unquestionably the guest of honor, British actor-producer, Warwick Davis. Movie fans will recognize his name from Star Wars, Return of The Jedi, as Ewok Wicket; Willow; the Leprechaun film series, multiple characters from the Harry Potter series and many other roles. Bob Hope Community Center Manager Mrs. Stephanie Lown, who escorted Davis from the front gate to the Galaxy Club, was impressed with his down to earth demeanor. "He was also quite inspirational when he spoke about the life challenges he has overcome." Davis signed autographs and posed for photos with hundreds of devoted fans. The 100th FSS Resource Advisor Darren Middleton said, “this is my first comic-con and I didn’t quite know what to expect. But getting to meet a real Hollywood star right here at RAF Mildenhall and taking part in all the other activities was great fun!” After the photo and autograph session, Mr. Davis conducted a 30 minute Q & A with the audience, facilitated by 100 ARW (Chief of Wing Information Ops) Capt. Alette Smith, who set questions before turning the mic over to the audience. Capt Smith was struck by how personable he was. "He is a fantastic storyteller and, really captured the audience's attention." A comic-con wouldn't be complete without vendors, costumed attendees, panels, and games. Mil-D-Con had these in spades, including a panel discussion on Resiliency and Gaming, chaired by 100 Air Refueling Commander Wing Commander, Col Troy Pananon. More than 50 adults and children took part in the costume contest with a combined prize value

of $700, provided by headline sponsor Keesler Federal Credit Union. For those fans who wanted something truly unique from the 'Con', local professional artist, Bruce Richardson drew detailed caricatures for more than 20 attendees.
